KelticBlue's 2017: Soil, Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunnan

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

The walk in the frost continues!

Gave the baby a blast of weak kelp tea almost a gallon this wet rainy morning.

I still see mostly clear.
CIMG20591.jpg

I gave a bud a pinch, they are the most solid I have ever grown, yet.

A bud top.

And what a nice walkit is - You have a good crop of trichs there!

Plenty of time to go

Those pistils are just starting to show color change. Yep. You've got time.

i have. I have read all light addicts techniques. I clipped tips before. It works.
It always seemed more for looks than anything. Bag appeal. Good stuff.
Plus my clippers are in a box at the back of my grow table.

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

Given the similarity of your 4 main buds, I wonder if you have tried the technique Light Addict calls 'Backbuilding'
I tried my first grow, bud I didn't keep track very well. It seems you might be able to backbuild 2 and leave alone 2 and see how the buds turn out.

Just a thought :battingeyelashes:

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

I will post my question here first, Can too much/intense light cause a hermie or self seed from a fem. seed?, I recall it can.
I have not seen a nanner in over 2 weeks, and the hermie plant got removed from the tent but My PCK seems to have more seeded buds than it should. I do no think the hermies pollen was mature and I don't think the nanners opened.
Not a problem, I just have the feeling my fem seed PCK is self seeding its buds, it that a thing?

No worries.

Some pictures from this morning I have a doc appointment today, I am stressed and a bit worried. wish me luck.

Just some shots of the under sides budding

It seems to be getting thirsty quicker now
CIMG2047.jpg

little pistil power.

GrateDay!:Namaste:

I'm not certain about light specifically, but any stress that makes the plant think it's going to die without reproducing can cause it to hemi. Maybe the sun is spiraling into the Earth and making it slowly hotter each day....

A fem seed can hermi. If it self pollinates it should produce fem seeds as well. It's hard to say sometimes, though. I've grown out a seed that turned out as a male that I swear was a self pollinated seed. I need to try another one. The mother had this great lemony pledge smell. The flavor should be similar if it's a self pollinated.

Sometimes those nanners can sneak by without seeing them.

Absolutely stunning shots keltic. :hugs:  You definately have plenty of time to go. I usually figure a month from when pistils start to change, then I forget to mark it down, so I have no way of knowing for sure if I'm right. :laughtwo:

Hope all went well at the doctor's.

Hello resinousWood :ciao:

Also check out Light Addict's other techniques. good stuff. He seems like a nice guy and grows grate plants.

LA's really quick guide to Tip Spreading for node stacking!
&
Light Addict's Quick Guide To Fluxing - Featuring The Original Flux!

Thanks keltic !! Ill check it right now

I did tip spreading for awhile, but lately I haven't used more than 4 branches per plant, so I don't bother.

His fluxing technique descriptions kept my brain occupied for months :)

i was thinking exactly that. Thanks Morglie.
Sun spiraling you think like me.

I think with the back cross I did has made the banners less obvious which is good and/but more hard work plucking. I saw the beginning of nanners as it started flower but they are hiding now. No worries it is sitting in the window all by it self.

planning a taste test just after 4/20 harvest first week May. Doctors tell me I might have a ulcer. Would explain a lot.

Thanks keltic !! Ill check it right now

Good luck very much good information.

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

Kind of a big photo drop, bit just a couple right now while gather my self together.

The happy family of Bud. 6 good tops a swelling.

CIMG2080.jpg

Another general over view. The inner bud shoot (not one of the bigge 6 buds) is from the lowest branch. I have the 2 lowest branches bent inward to fill the middle.
CIMG2081.jpg

There is some slight fox-tailing
CIMG2082.jpg

A better look at the inner buds.
CIMG2083.jpg

pretty much the same look just wider.

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

Smell just changed. Almost drastically. From a sweet earthy to blackberry currant skunk.
Un frixenbahlievable. Lovely

edit: it is blowing my mind.

Wow! Good terpene expression.

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

Pretty excited looks to be my best grow yet, I hope to get over an ounce dry. That will give me some leeway with the regular seeds I have yet to pop seeds.
A broad side view.

CIMG2085.jpg

With a flash a look at the under growth each branch is like this!
CIMG2087.jpg

Another close up. Yikes! looking good and healthy
CIMG20981.jpg

Some more of the good stuff
CIMG2093.jpg

Here we are looking at the middle, just a point and shoot look down from above.
CIMG21011.jpg

Another flash shot, I think they come out pretty good when it is all frosted up like so
CIMG2096.jpg

About 12 inches down to the canopy from the lights

I am sitting on the couch in front of the tent or the tent behind the couch, and I smell the tropical forest full of fruits.

I did a seaweed water feeding this morning.
Super simple. I collect seaweed from near my families home in florida. I rinse it then let it dissolve in a jar with water in a cool dark spot, 30 days or more. I mix it in a weak ratio (sometimes filtered thru a coffee filter) Maybe ~5-1 mix and sweetened with a drop of BSM. Some time I aerate in a tea before watering but not always. Lots of micro-nutrients in seaweed.
Mine comes from the Sargasso sea in the atlantic
