KelticBlue's 2017: Soil, Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunnan

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

for now, I am happy to deal with low humidity. Last time i ran this strain I got mold, scared the bejeebers out of me.
Got some rain moving in before I get home tomorrow and I will not get into the tent until the next day with lights on. I bet humidity is up but still low during lights on. At least I know I am getting good transpiration. the plant is due for a good soak this week.

I have 4-6 weeks left of flower estimated. My wife runs out of smoke probably next week, Yikes. no problem, just gotta buy some. sad but true.

A little story I forgot to share, remember I don't consume my produce.
I had a random test last month, too funny really, of course I passed. The concentrations need to be way higher than what I get into my system. But I happen to have access to professional testing supplies so I had been practice tested about one month before. So I had high confidence when the random came around. I also take high concentrations of B vitamins after I have 'prolonged' exposure, like vacations and such.

I hear ya on being worried about mold. I've had several plants I've had to cut early because of powdery mildew. If it's working, and it apears that it is, I wouldn't worry much about it. I did find that chart I mentioned. I thought I'd post it in case others are wondering about it. The more knowledge out there, the better.

Cool beans, Vapor pressure deficit ! good stuff.

the difference between the theoretical pressure exerted by water vapor held in saturated air (100% RH at a given temperature) and the pressure exerted by the water vapor that is actually held in the air being measured at the same given temperature.

or I like to think of it as how much water the air wants from the baby's transpiration. I am gonna work on getting it in the 50RH range if I can this week.

:thanks:

25rh is low. My flower room went down in the 20s with the winter. I've raised it to consistently 40-50 and my plants are much happier. I've seen a chart somewhere of a breakdown of ideal temp vs rh. I'll have to see if I can find it.

This vapor pressure chart suggests 84F and 80% humidity as in the perfect range.

That might work for coffee and banana trees, even vegging cannabis, but not really for flowering cannabis as far as I can tell.

I agree 25% is low - I hope it doesn't hurt yield.

me tooo.
Probably hurt yield already. I get to check on them tomorrow, yay.
If I can I will find a way to stabilize it as much as I can. In such a small tent raising it has been easy.

Summer time my flower room was hitting 85f and 75rh. No problems as long as I kept the air flow going. And my sativas loved it.

My flower room has also spent a lot of time at 85f and 75rh - but never when I was growing fat buds - only wimpy little buds, The foliage loved it.

Others here claim they have powdery mildew issues in those ranges.

I ran into some issues with that as well. It seems the trick is to lower it when they start to swell. I was stuck with those conditions this last summer in my flower room. There was a major benefit to it until the buds got fattened up.... And the mites attacked....

Hmm, good point. :thumb:

Quick Photo drop.
Watered, top dressed with EWC, that sort of thing this week.
still low humidity, I have a crap ton of water sitting in the tent now in the saucer under my non canna planter and a cup under the fan. still very dry.

The overview, six good tops and the seventh is doing well. popcorn buds doing ok too. great light penetration.

I can see the odd pistil turning, I did pollen on some of the lower budsites.
I have also remover the "other" plant from the tent, I do not see any hermie on the "other" plant any more but I can feel they are there. So my other plant is living in the window

Morglie.
:thankyou:

getting happy with the thought of harvesting.3-4 weeks at least.
I get home tomorrow and will be able to have a look the next day.

Looks amazing great job keep up the great work, there is a thread on here called LAs guide to back building you should take a look at it, since I have started this methods yields have increased a lil bit anything to increase yield and quality is what I am all about

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

Had a quick morning in the tent playing around. I gave the COB light an additional fan keeping them cool Not that they are hot, just to extend life.
Watered about 2 liters pure RO water and about it.
Oh got a new temp meter that I can monitor from outside the tent with a probe in the tent.

Here is the new meter.

So out is in and in is out.....

Here are some plant shots
PCK x Kali China
topping close to 12 inches from soil height. 4 great tops, 2 pretty darn good tops, and 2 more trying hard to do their thing
CIMG2019.jpg

Four top tops are pretty level, I moved one around just a bit to give light and room to the middle.

Here is one o' those inner baby buds.

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

Given the similarity of your 4 main buds, I wonder if you have tried the technique Light Addict calls 'Backbuilding'
I tried my first grow, bud I didn't keep track very well. It seems you might be able to backbuild 2 and leave alone 2 and see how the buds turn out.

Just a thought :battingeyelashes:

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

I will post my question here first, Can too much/intense light cause a hermie or self seed from a fem. seed?, I recall it can.
I have not seen a nanner in over 2 weeks, and the hermie plant got removed from the tent but My PCK seems to have more seeded buds than it should. I do no think the hermies pollen was mature and I don't think the nanners opened.
Not a problem, I just have the feeling my fem seed PCK is self seeding its buds, it that a thing?

No worries.

Some pictures from this morning I have a doc appointment today, I am stressed and a bit worried. wish me luck.

Just some shots of the under sides budding

It seems to be getting thirsty quicker now
