Wow really great story about Rome. Truth be told I have not been to Rome since 1982.
I have a former student who lives there now, I should make the journey.
30 inch long cobblestones, that is some big rocks, fascinating to have seen such work being done.

My thoughts exactly. Great story Rad. When they placed those cobblestones it was with the intention that Rome would be ruling the world forever. Silly humans. Lol!

The craftsmanship was a testimony of the dedication of those charged with paving the way to the temples. A fortuitous once-in-a-lifetime opportunity Rad. Now I feel like I shared in it.

Mother had a tradition of making Christmas ornaments with our children every year, until they bored of it. I have some made with Unicorn Plant seed pods. They look like birds hanging in the tree. I'll have to dig some out and post pictures at the Spot.

Last day of my cleanse today. I can move from green veg to more normal food, only like 60 dayz to go on my diet. So i sit here drinking my dandelion tea, listening to some grateful dead while missus feed the cats and I wonder what to do? Plants dont need me messing temps is a bit high with the sun in the window and humidity is a bit low but I am gonna let it ride.

Going out for a walk at some point that is for sure but for now maybe some pictures from yesterday.

So I decided to do something different with the photo shoot. Tops of buds looking down. I think they came out pretty well, one if a bit of but a couple are very nice. I think this really demonstrates how the buds are doing from a different angle. And they look like stars.
Pretty things.

So on with the show.
I tried to get each well developed bud top

My cats hairs are everywhere

I lost track of which bud is what but it is the six top buds and one of the inner lower buds with nice form.

Putting on some nice crystal

Clear and cloudy once in a while you catch a flash of amber but it is highly localized.

Bit of a blur here This may be the lower inner bud.

Hope fully I did not duplicate I did have 7 shots I may have gotten confused, no news there.

The indoor plants needed almost no attention today (Water the three plants in flower will a mild Tea.) This is fortuitous. After setting up 2 racks of ribs in a crock pot, and setting out a few indoor raised herbs to 'harden off', I spent most of the day digging the drainage swale (more a trench really ,) running gutter downspouts to the swale, and planning where and how deep to dig the next part. I would have enjoyed a life as a grave digger

I never stay in one place for long(a day), if i recall upstate NY then on to some state that begins with M, Maine or Michigan I forget. I don't normally look until I start. Four days gone one day home, three days gone one day home, two days gone then 3 days home. Something like that. It is just what I do, I travel for work.

No pollen sacs in sight but It still did hermie on me so it stays on the window. It is mostly clear trich, not drinking as much as I would like and maybe even doing a little re veg. with single leaves popping out here and there.

Lets see what I got for pictures today and an update.
I turned the container mostly to better allow the Blu Mat to work properly. But it gets turned about 2 times a week.
It also is about an inch lower. It sits raised while I water, I leave it up for better airflow under the container. I lowered it into its pan while I am gone. Give it another inch to the light not that it is growing up anymore but I feel better after doing it. Gotta figure out it age here, Flip was aprox. Feb 14 and sprout Jan 20. So 2 months since flip and a little less than 3 months old.

All is looking good in here bud. I had to catch up on about 3 weeks of your journal mainly because I had a flu and although I spent some time on the computer I didn't get to all subs. I have too many.

Looks like a fine finish going on here. Those trichs are making my day.

Jim, good to see you up and about hope you are feeling back to better.

The diet is working well. My headaches are all but gone. If I get one I eat and it goes away. I am in Phase 2 of my diet. And Still. My food intake is very restricted.
What I can do is: lots of non-starchy vegetables , lots of whole, unprocessed foods, fresh cuts of meat (no processed meats) and
low Glycemic Load type of foods, I start phase 3 probiotics some time soon, then Phase 4 anti fungal and then phase 5 reintroducing foods. A long road yet.

For carbohydrates I have been eating Millet supposed to be digested slowly and not spike blood sugar. Also trying to keep the ph low in the gut. Sounds like growing in the garden stuff sometimes. Any who Missus is in charge and when I am on the road it is hard to follow. But I have been doing pretty well this week. Next week I dunno. High hopes

I am home for one full day this week (wednesday) then back on the road for 3 days. I hope to have some pictures but dont count on it, I will be happy just to get water done. Temps were hot outside today almost 90 my missus says. I hope the portable air-conditioner did its magic. My apartment building has already started the process of turning the building wide A/C on they say by may 1st. Which is good my environs will stabilize after that. And I will be able to see how the COBs lights do since I got them going after the A/C was turned off last year. I think I will be all set for sprouts mid May. I am thinking Grape Cookies first then Triple Purple Rhino for the fall run.
I do so much traveling I cannot plan worth a hoot.

I was wrong I am home on tuesday this week. I got a peek in the tent 2 liters of water in the container in 2 separate waterings gave about 1/2 liter from the bottom, it soaked it up then some 2-3 hours later I put the container up so it could drain and gave it the rest of the plain R/O water.
To the naked eye and with the loupe I see lots of clear but in the pictures I see lots of cloudy.
No super close ups today just the general overview.
I am thinking of chopping the top Bud May 5th. I have a graduation the second weekend in May so it can dry till then then into Jar or vacuum bag. Freaking out cause I dont want to loose any to mold and I have all these obligations taking me away. Missus doesnt realize the harvest/cure process can be fickle. I am gonna over dry again I can see it coming.

Did a quick peek in this morning --filled the blu mat check its flow looks good. I Feel like the plant should be drinking more, but it is drinking steady. Got some heat coming this week. Wonderful temps this morning I wish it would last for the week.

Here is the environs this fine cloudy morn. Temps never got above 82 ths past week while I was away happy about that.

The smell has changed a bit. In the flowers the smell is sweet-ish but sour like fruit rotting with a touch of skunk.
Rubbing the stems it is overly sweet, I call it sickly sweet, not a nice sweet. So it is getting its dank on.
So this is for sure the green pheno which is the most common, now it is more kali or china? I will call it china to start then kali at the finish.

It's usually smell that tells me when they're done. Curious, because I just realized my idea of the smell of "done" might be different from yours. It hadn't occurred to me before that my body might identify the terpene profile it needs and clue me in. That's a bit out there, I realize.

Safe travels. Have you looked into Ziggy's method to dry in the refrigerator? I just took my buds out and tested a small piece in honor of the holiday and I'm mighty impressed. I'll do a post on it tomorrow when I try it again.

It didn't smell up the fridge the way you'd think it would. The smell is terpenes, and it appears the cold suspends the evaporation of the terpenes as the low humidity dries out the bud. They look fresh in color too, so more flavinoids. Amazing! I need to retest the potency when I'm less high already. It only takes two weeks, so the timing could work for your partial harvest.

They only give me so many reps, or you'd have recieved them for this picture.

i do remember always wanting to check out the low and slow Ziggy talked about.
I certainly do think it is worth a go. I think a sample can be worked out.
I dont have a top for a jar like that though. Will have to figure something out.

I think the the one cold night may have darkened the buds a little.
i don't get home til after midnight tomorrow maybe 30 hours home before leaving again.
I am taking on big responsibility in the near future and need to prepare myself.

So the buds maybe darker but no Pakistani purple. Which leads me to believe it is of the Kali China pheno. I smells similar to the way it did when I last grew this strain. Not sure if it lean more Kali or China.
