KelticBlue's 2017: Soil, Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunnan

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

Most of the sweet smell is gone now mostly sour dank carrot on the drying bud.

I chopped another bud I have had high Humidity for quite some time and the forecast for the next week. I see maybe a drop on wednesday but not till sunday do I see any relief and that is too far off to rely on.
I need to have a plan before I leave for a graduation on may 10. I do not want it drying out too much So some of it is going to stay in the ground.

Here is the lastest bud right after wash.

CIMG23491.jpg

I'm trying a refrigerator cure technique. 1/2 filled ball jar of bud. Cheese cloth cover instead of a sealed top. Leave the bud in a frost free refrigerator for 2 weeks.

It's supposed to be a good technique. A cure as well as a dry. No need to monitor while out of town.

My first attempt just went into the refrigerator on 4/20, so 3 more days until it finishes.

Ah ha. Rad. That is indeed my plan. Or back up plan that I think is a good possibility.
I don't have any spare ball jars.
I was thinking I could cover a jar with old t shirt. How does that sound.

Stretcha T-shirt over the opening, fasten with a casual twist - sounds good to me.
It will keep radishes from falling in - and allow humidity to leak out.
Don't pack it tight - hang loose my man - and chill.

I stored mine in the vegetable crisper drawer :)

Starting to think about next run. I think a final pistil wave is puttering out, gonna let it sit tight for 2 days and check again.

Next round prolly a new journal to start it off.

Gonna run something different, I have selected 2 regular seeds, My Triple Purple Rhino from Docs Dank seeds.
it is described as:

The perfect purple storm! The cross of the Black Sour Bubble / Caseyband x White Rhino mom and the Triple Purple Doja dad have created a strain giving up 100% purple on the test run. Heavy yielder of the darkest genetically purple buds stinking of dark dank grapes ranging to super sour grapes.

hope my filter can keep up! :rollit:

Pre-Harvest Picture Party!
So I figure +10 weeks since flip and just about 8-9 weeks in flower.

Some artistic shots this week to finish the grow.
I have 4 top buds left

Got the foxtails going
CIMG2354.jpg
Very much cloudy trichs
CIMG2356.jpg

Smells of fresh produce with a hint of Dank now

CIMG2358.jpg

I am going to leave the small buds to over ripen.
CIMG2359.jpg

I figure about 4 grams dry for each top, probably a little more. That is about 24 grams for the big buds. So add in the smaller buds and just over an ounce. I think it is me biggest harvest yet. Also for the last week I dropped the time to 11/13
.
Harvest pictures soon...

Speaking of Purple...
A while back I mentioned Colorado Seed Inc and how I had picked up a few of their beans. Well all the info I had was just what the breeder told me when I purchased them and well things were a tad foggy that day lol. So I reached out to them for a little more info and heres what I got:
"Our Krishna Kush is one of our growers favorite strains. Being the Lavender and Gupta Kush cross, it produces large, crystals kush buds with tight nodes and can get very purple! It's generally a fast-finishing plant, with flower time around 7-8 weeks, with a generally higher THC percentage of about 27% "

Looks like this will be the first purple to grace my tent. Just wish I didn't have to wait until my winter grow to sprout it.

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

One last gets its own post. At the early flower I saw some beenanerz, I knew it was a Fem seed so I let it ride. The pollen pods were hard to find and sure enough there was buds all over and no banana to be seen as flowering progressed.

But they were there, I wonder if the lights were too intense at the time, maybe one of the side flaps had a light leak? I tripple checked everything, but like I said as flower progressed nuthing more. So they seemed to present only at the beginning of flower. Here we are late in flower with diminished light schedule and no last minute bananas. So I dunno, not gonna call it a hermie. I think Cannafan had something similar this year. I should ask over there. any who here is a look at where the the pollen pods after chop on the bottom of the bud and I have found 7 very mature looking seeds.
