KelticBlue's 2017: Soil, Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunnan

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

Let me echo what Rad said, Congrats!

Really looking forward to your next grow and I hope to pull a seat up from the beginning. Pretty cool watching someone grow in close to the same conditions as I do.

Cheers Keltic! :passitleft:

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

Thank you TheFertilizer! :thankyou:

it it is an easy to grow hybrid. It is my second time with this strain. If I were to guess the have both been green pheno.
this one foxtailed pretty sure the last one did not but that could be due to the lights and better environment.

:high-five:

Thanks Miss Sue!:high-five:

So the plant threw some baby nanner first thing in flower as you can see in this picture at the bottom of the stem.
just a couple of stems and just in the lower buds.

So this limited edition strain which is now discontinued, I have seed stock of for years to come.
I actually would not mind a purple one to backcross with this green pheno.
Have a look at hidden nanners.

Some day I will grow this without screwing it up. promise.
smoke report coming some day soon, promise

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

Oh, I missed seeing them in the previous post! How interesting. I haven't come across nanners yet, and I don't maintain light-tight tents either. I'm surprised, actually, that I haven't come across any, considering the light that must get through. Somewhere I remember reading that it's the red indicator lights that give people so much trouble, and I even have a couple of those in the tents, but so far, so good.

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

Here is about half of the buds in a jar.:cheertwo:
CIMG2389.jpg

Got the other buds spread out, they are smoking well. More sweet smell and taste than the last time I grew it.
Stronger in power too. Same sort of quick reaction right away with a mellow starting in 15 minutes which lasts about 3 hours.
feel good weed.

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

Here is the container being re amended with bas re amend and EWC and some chicory root grounds. Water it in I do have a cup and a half left over to water in later.
CIMG2393.jpg

I am letting the tarragon and amaranth grow while i "cook" the soil by letting it sit for 2 weeks or so Before I plant again in it.
Gonna chop the amaranth before I get a plant going. I think I am going to try 2 plants in here next go.

Re: KelticBlue's 2017 - Soil - Ace Seeds Pure Pakistan Chitral Kush x Kali China Yunn

Here is the parallel grow I had going with my auto cbg x orient express backcross. I progressively harvested this along the way. The top bud is bulked and foxtail-ing. Smell is skunky musk but not over powering.

CIMG2392.jpg

Gonna chop this last one on Wednesday. Carry on :cheertwo:

Do you attribute this to the lights keltic? I lifted my DDA6 today and she's significantly heavier than the other one. Part of that may be water she's not taking up, but she's only had 3/4 of a gallon over 5 days ago, so I think it may be flower weight. :slide: She's still not ready to take, although I could, if I wanted to or needed to.

I think it's the light.

I think it was the lights till i screwed the water PH. And now I am better at growing it less like the garden/tomato plants.
The plant ate the light.....

There is a dense moist-ness in the buds. I dont feel it ever took water like the first one did under blurple. But i think the blurple had tighter node space. This one also seems sweeter and stronger in effect.

This is probably pheno expression, If I had to guess, this pheno is more kali of the Kali-China, just from the carrot and mango smells. If i recall my first pheno was more china of the KaliChina or green pheno PCK. more woody and spice.

I tend to think this way (i got KaliChina phenos) after reading the descriptions of the ACE breeders pack of PCK.

Of the things I learned this grow is when this strain is done flowering it stops pistil almost overnight

I still have 4 fems to look for the pure PCK and its purple buds.

I never realized how much tarragon looked like rosemary. Is this herb destined for the kitchedn?

Nice bud shots of auto cbg x orient express backcross.

Congratulations on your April 2017 Creme de la Creme Photo Contest win !

I've just reached the point where I'm noticing the growing patterns of the plants, as in when they're ready to be harvested, not when I want them to be ready. Lol!

I've gotten much stronger smells from the plants under the COBs. Better color too, IMO. I'm really loving the lights. Dan has another surprise for me. I'm waiting to hear back from him. :cheesygrinsmiley: Hehe!

i think this the tarragon is russian kind not so good for the kitchen that i have found kind of plain. grew it from seed, it is hard to kill.

SS....mee too with the plant patterns. it seems almost everything i have grown has had pck or china yunnan in it. i think the cob light has allowed them to show amber trich better than the blurple.

i am going to have to pull away from the cob threads here they take all my time researching. i lov the stuff. silly me

Hey Keltic you ever spend any time over on Rapidled? I just picked up the far red initiator. Thought hell for the price seems like it could be a really nice addition to my tent. Should be here in a week or so along with a couple more cxb3590's then my tent will be maxed out for lights.
If you're interested I'll keep you updated.

Hi, I don't mean to butt in but I'm fairly sure I read somewhere that proper landrace Kush strains, particularly the Hindu and Chitrali types, are prone to hermaphroditism.

In fact I've got a lemon kush from female seeds finishing up the now that did exactly what yours did - a few nanners on a few branches early in flower. More intriguingly, I had a timer fuck up and the plant revegged a week or so after that stopped. When I got the timer sorted and she was budding again she did the same thing again in exactly the same way - few nanners on lower growth, lasted all of a few days then nothing else. No other plants in the space hermied, just this girl.

Long story short, I don't think it's something you did, I feel like landrace or close to strains, especially kushes, have that potential. Plus, every time I've read about breeding they talk about breeding intersex traits out of lines so I'd be willing to say it's a pretty natural thing.

thank you so much for speaking up. I am glad it was just a short time earlier in flower. It is a pure pck mother from landrace. Maybe I will post in conrads landrace thread. Thanks again. Very happy to have a couple more seeds. So all good.
