Thanks for stopping by you guys. I am Cutting back from 420mag. Nothing serious just really busy. And I use it as a reward for getting my work done.

As as it turns out my 'triple purple rhino' is a male. I have dropped two more seeds of it this week. I trimmed the male down to just a stump with 2 branches. Just in case I want pollen and don't have anything else going. I also have a small stunted super skunk cross that I transplanted into good soil. Will see if it takes hold.

The triple purple rhino smells strong like weed. I am saving the trimming for later.

Nuthing going on in the garden. A little frustrating with males and germination slowness. I have three not germinating well two this week. I might drop a fem. seed. Or two more regs.

Been making lacto water and some homemade seaweed water today. Heat has been good for summer time. It is ramping up tomorrow. Average of high of 82 max. Feeling good about the lights. I wonder if they are too bright sometimes. So I turned them up. Reverse logic. At its finest.


If i stick with reg seed I may have to go with grape cookies by farmhouse genetics. My first fem choice is Nepal jam by ace or back to pck cross with Kali China.

I wasn't aware of the coming weather change. This springlike respite has been a blessing.

Sorry about the failed germination. They seem to come in waves, don't they? :straightface: I try to fall back on cosmic intuition and pick the next in line. You've done a fine job of narrowing the choices. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I've done the same thing with my lights. Lol!

I like to start out soaking in water until I see the shell crack and tail start to emerge, then plant into peat(surrounded by soil.)

Once I see the seed sprout I feel confident a seedling will emerge in 3-9 days. Planting directly in soil one never knows what is going to happen. I need to start doing the same for flower garden seeds !

I've never taken them that long on a soak Rad. How long does it typically take to happen? Doc suggests drop the seed into the one gallon. So far that's worked. I have one I'm waiting in right now - order one gallon pots woman! - and I always hold my breath. I'll contend 'till I drop that if they didn't cost $10 a pop we'd have better germination rates. Even when they're free I sweat it. Lol!

I've tried your method Sue and had mediocre results. The best method I've found was to soak them overnight in water, then I put them in a paper towel in a baggie until the tail sprouts. Normally a couple of days. Then they go into soil. That way I know for certain that they've already sprouted and should see them one their heads above soil in 2-3 days. I've still lost a couple, but it's pretty rare this way.

I soak them in water for 3-4 days, sometimes it takes 6.

If I am feelng anxiety and want to look at the seed, I can just pick up the glass of water and look.

I used to grow a long tail like folks do betweenn paper towels - but nowadays when I see the tail start, I plant it.

I have had seeds fail to crack - after 10 days I toss them. I've waited up to 25 days, but nothing happened except the water got cloudy.

I have had seeds crack and fail to make a tail, but only once that I can recall.

I have had seeds that grow the wrong way, where the root comes straight out of the ground: once after soaking in water, and once direct planted in soil.



In soil, I have planted seeds that never come up, or start and die before reaching the surface, or emerge after 3-18 days.

The uncertainty of direct planting makes me fret. I fret about very few things in life, so when that happens, I change something. Water works for me :)

never soaked for more than 24 hours, Except this time right now. THX. My best germination is when the seeds fall from the bud all by themselves with no help for me. First time with this strain. The male that did germinate has strong growth. I leave for work in the morning so back on the road again. Bit of a crap shoot with seeds lately.

I have my contest winning seeds yet to get from CKS (and seedsman I think, not sure how to go about that)

I am leaning toward the CBDream has a 6% thc and CBD ratio. Says it grows easy toooo. :ciao:

And as easy as that. 36 hours into soak I see a crack and tiny tail. I planted it. I will let ya know how it goes. Silly me these seed just needed more soak time.

I have no pictures uploeaded i will try to back photo journal if I can.

Contact Seedsman by email. Someone will get back to you, and you'll likely play a bit of email tag. It took a while to get all the ducks in a row, but I eventually got them.
