Sorry to hear about the rot Keith I'll be praying you don't get much more 🙏they still looking mighty fine & for the size of them they've basically lost a finger 😂 Get the big guns ready! You got this bro 💪
Thanks Greenvein I appreciate the encouragement. It's just a part of growing I needed to learn. Guys like yourself that have been doing this for some time this is just part of growing. For folks like me this is a new lesson and thanks to people like yourself I have learn to roll with the punches and carry on. As you said it only a finger. I have a lot of bud left.

I feel your pain brother.

I trash about 5-6 grams of Primo bud every day due to caterpillars / rot.
Luckily I have 6 good sized outdoor plants, with plenty of excellent buds remaining. Got another 2-3 weeks until harvest. I'm playing a waiting game. Spray bt every few days and cut out any rot as soon as I see it. I don't cry over what I lost. I'm fighting for what is left.

Keep your head up. From what I'm seeing you'll end up with at least 5-6 oz from each plant if you can keep damage minimal. Bud rot is the tax we pay for growing outdoors.

Thanks Grateful tomorrow is a new day.

If I were you, I would consider the leaf blower option (if you have one) to blow off any moisture. Several times per day if you can. Far enough away so you don't break branches but close enough to air dry colas. Fight the battle.

Also, I've found caterpillars to be very hard to spot. Sneaky bastards. I break open damaged buds to look for tiny black poop dots. That's from caterpillars. Once they poop inside a bud it's a day or two before the frost leaves die, and 24 hours later the whole bud is brown. I cut off about an inch or two above and below the damaged area.

Good luck!

hey grateful quick question what is BT

Sorry to hear that keith i hope the citric acid works. Did someone mention that H202 also work against it aswell?
Yes, but I thought I would try the citric acid first because I have it on hand and Shed gave me the mix for a gallon of distilled water. How are your plants doing? Good, I hope. Thanks Newb.

yea i was more just asking rather than suggesting. I thought i noticed someone mention that yesterday.👍

They doing pretty good overall besides whatever is going on with that one west coast. Going to spray some H202 tonight on it since i had to wait couple days after spraying the pure crop.

Thanks for asking keith🙂

Good afternoon :420: I sprayed with citric acid and cut a mess of bud this morning. I hate this bud rot business every time I go out, I find more. I sure hope the citric acid works but at this time I have lots of buds left. It looks like the rot is in the middle of the sour diesel plant and the top bud looks good. I hope it stays that way as my largest buds are at the top, no colas have been affected. I will spray again later. I am not sure how often I should spray but it dries out very fast. I will research if there is anything else I can do at the same time I am using the citric acid. You know me no patience I just want it to go away as fast as possible. My plants are so sticky I have to use Dawn dish spray cleaner to get my hands clean from the stickiness. I hope everyone is having a nice day and that it is as nice there as it is here. Stay happy and good growing.
