I turned the light to 75% last night. I’ve tried this in the past when switching to flower since the 6 hour light loss is considerable. The plants weren’t big or strong enough to handle the change in prior attempts. I figured since everything is firing I would give it a try. These shots are this morning
I didn’t see any of the classic light burn flags. Normally when the light is too much the first thing that happens is the serrations all raise up and look sharp. Then mottling begins along with fluorescent coloring on newer growth, and inverted mag striping from the tips of older growth. I’ve learned what too much light looks like very well over the past couple grows and I don’t see any of the signs. We will see how they look tonight and tomorrow, we’ll know for sure by then whether the light is too much.
Being able to use 75% would really help build out massive, strong buds, I usually can only get to 75 once they’re deep into flower.
