Keffka's Recycling, KOS Blue Thai, Herbies Seeds Apple Betty, Runtz Punch

I spent almost 10 years in the Army and not once was I as proud to be an American as I was when watching the Montgomery, Alabama riverboat brawl 🤣

I’m on a mission to find this shirt now

@Gee64 will a healthy myco colony help ease transplants and topping? I haven’t done anything new except for laser focus in on making sure my myco took. Normally transplanting and topping both set me back a few days while also making my plants look sad.. Now, I had no turnaround time and no sadness.. they dropped in, stayed turgid, and went right to growing again without ever even dropping their tips.. I would’ve expected at least the topping to slow them down a little.

Going forward I can no longer rely on extra recovery days to pad my 54 day requirement and now I’m concerned about space.. I’m gonna really have to keep these plants low which should be interesting. Thankfully the topping really slows their size regardless of recovery time

Healthy myco will greatly enhance uppotting. Its why I am so big on fish ferts. They make myco happy and myco takes care of the plant. Your cal and mag are probably much more adequate this grow too which will make both myco and the microbes happy. Topping really doesn't slow them much. 48 hours, if at all.

I’ve begun pushing down the two main stems growing out of the third node. I want to keep these a little pliable so they’re easy to tie down.

I removed the first node from all of the plants.. I will leave the second and third. The second will be used to produce clones. The third will be our flowering node. I will be manifolding these plants. I will allow my two main stems to grow out to four nodes on both sides. I will then top both sides to the third node. I will then remove all the growth from the 2nd node on both sides of these main stems. This will leave me with 8 colas. I will train the 8 colas to keep them growing horizontal until they hit the ten gallon containers. This should create a strong base for the plants when they go to flower.

I will post pictures once I’ve done this for all the folks who are here for the pictures, not the words 😂

I’m keeping the lights at 25%. I think I’ll keep them there until they’re established in the 10 gallons and have large enough rootballs to handle the intensity.. this light has a habit of burning the heck out of anything that isn’t in flower if I put it higher than 25%

It’s obvious that even on the floor the plants are getting enough light to grow large, with tight node spacing. This will help with electricity costs as well.

I’ve been extra hands off this grow and it has been rewarding. I’m not chained to my grow like I’ve been working toward and there are days I don’t even look at my plants. With that being said, I completely forgot I wanted to train my plants this weekend 🤣🤣 I’ll get to it.. I’m not too worried.. I’ve put my plants through a lot and they just ask for more so if I’m late a week on training I’ll just have to move slower.

Also.. neighbors plant is stretching like crazy.. it’s gotta be at least 8 feet tall.. the fence is around 6’

That thing is gonna stink

Your "measuring tape" just killed me

Your "measuring tape" just killed me

I’ve been waiting for someone to notice it and comment 😂

my phone also can act as a level as well.. It really solidified that I’m older when I felt genuine excitement that my phone could kind of measure and level stuff and then take a picture with it 🤣

Seedlings are getting hungry

The rest of the plants are doing great.. they’re ready to be trained, I’m just dragging my feet because I should see sex within the next few days

You can see the Herbies Runtz Punch still pushing out 3 finger leaves on the left.. this one has me excited

The temperature has dropped around here so the room only got up to 80F last night.. the plants notice the difference quite a bit.. there’s only a few more days of this low temp weather then we’re back to the 90s

Catering to the myco has made this grow EZ mode.. started pushing down on the main stems to create the manifold base.. They’ve been worked enough these past few days so that they’ll be ready to tie down.

I tried using a little garden wire wrapped around the base like previous grows but the plants are too vigorous for that.. I’ll be pulling out my tackle box for this one.. I’ll grab a few of my lighter weights and just let those hold my main stems down.. I want them growing horizontally as much as possible to create a strong base for the colas to grow from.

Coloring looks great.. I’m seeing slight indications of mottling and a little bit of heat stress which tells me I need to start up the Dolomite lime water and get them feeding on 50 ppms per watering. They got fish ferts a few days ago (1 ml per L) they probably could use a little extra. I likely need to increase my watering which will happen soon, just trying to force the roots to grow a bit more aggressively.

The final Blue Thai and the Apple Betty are both ready for transplant.. I will do that this weekend.

So I went to stop by my grow store Cultivation Station today. It was closed with a for lease sign in the window. I am genuinely disappointed.. They sold everything I needed at prices below Amazon and the internet. They were kind of old school though and were still pushing HPS ballasts for example. If I knew they were closing I would’ve bought large amounts of stuff to prepare but I had no idea.. I was there two months ago for this current grow and they didn’t say a thing.

Anyway I need a new store.. @SmokingWings and @Sueet I tried sending a PM but I can only send it to one person at a time.. Where do you two shop for your amendments/soils/garden products? The big chain stores rarely carry the majority of the amendments I use and the smaller stores I’ve checked usually only have one brand or aren’t really stocked well.

So do we Azi! hint hint... You are only supplying 1 of them. That makes you a member of the Half-Azed club! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Irrelevant to your post but I’m replying so it tags you but, Revs phenos already have character.. First of all I’m impressed with the tight node spacing. I’m intrigued that 2/3 are taller but still are bushy.. There’s a shorter pheno that is not as bushy but it’s shorter so it’s wild too lol. All of them are calcium pigs.. they’re already signaling for more even with the ridiculous amount I’ve given them.

Their coloring is gorgeous, I can’t wait to see them flower out

The Runtz Punch that’s been 3 fingers this whole time is pushing out at least a 5 finger leaf on its new growth. Apple Betty is getting transplanted tonight or tomorrow.

The Herbies seeds seem to be more aggressive growers but Revs seeds hit on all my favorites.. tight node spacing, the branches are already thick and strong, they’re responding well to containers and they’re not showing any stressors.

Depending on how sexing plays out I may try to swing an extra plant or two.. it will require me to use more powerful spikes and layers but we’ll see what happens, I’ve audibled the entire grow so far 🤣

I want them to hurry up and get a little bigger so I can get rid of the damaged leaves.. The damage ruins my pictures and I know I’ll lose the leaves anyway 🤣 I’m ridiculous some times (note.. I do not recommend removing damaged leaves for aesthetic reasons. These leaves are gonna have to come off anyway to be able to manifold properly)
