Junior Grower Grow 00 Auto White Widow

Day 22, one of the WW stem act strange, it bend to one direction. Should i worry about it?

The other WW is just fine.

Is it intentionally bending, like the stalk is still rigid, or does the stem at the bend feel soft and slackened? What are the temp/RH levels generally at?

I am out so i can't tell you about the stalk. But the average temp is 32 celcius, RH 70%, i open air conditioner at night, the tend be like 29 celcius and 50 % RH

If that's the only plant growing like that, it might suggest a genetic anomaly. Based on how happy the leaves look (reaching upwards), I'm lead to believe that plant is in good health which I expect would rule out the trunk softening at the bend area.

Yes, she's the only one.

Just curious, what happen if the stalk is not rigid? I assume I easily move a weak stalk to the opposite direction?

Not entirely sure, I was just trying to generate more feedback from more info. My best guess would be if the stalk was soft in the middle, than something would be catastrophically wrong or off, which would have made me think some type of sickness. I tried web searching a few terms/phrases, but not much came back aside from people intentionally trying to make their plants grow sideways.

That is rather strange. If you’ve raised the light already, I would actually just leave her to see what she gets up to the next few days. Sky is right, she does look healthy.

Wow great job brother, you opened them up perfectly in my eyes. :high-five:

No, do not defoliate. Especially on auto flowering plants as doing so will stunt growth, but on photo plants, it's only wise to defol when the plant needs that done to improve air flow.

Day 30, my carbon filter starts to worn out. The odor are filling all over my rooms. I already order another filter couple days ago, but i never expect it expired so fast. Any method to temporary filter out the smells?

Depending what you can get your hands on locally, fish tank water filters are made of activated carbon, so if you can locate cheap replacement cartridges and devise a way to push your exhaust air through. I made THIS tutorial on how I made one many years ago when I first started growing.

Another product you might be able to locate is called "Ona" which is an air freshener that simply has a super strong pleasant odor that masks other odors. Another trick would be to burn tiki torches in your yard or citronella candles which are metal pails of wax with a wick that when burned repels insects namely mosquitoes and will also mask other odors in your area.

Pretty much anything that humans burn and keep near themselves will have masking odors, plus the smoke will diffuse certain odors namely sulfur which then renders the odor as something else, and when you have an odor leak, you find that any other odor is better than the smell of dank bud. Do whatever you think might be a good idea and keep doing it until you get adequate odor cancellation with a new carbon filter. FWIW, I've been using cheap chinese filters for years and only ever had minimal problems but overall, they work good.

Good luck!

Just curious, how long those chinese filters last? Mine last 4 months. Any method to keep it run longer?
