It’s the very top of a short bamboo stake, where the wire is duct taped to the bamboo. I need them to stay. Duct tape can fix anything. It’s the Super Hero of tapes. What the heck is that gray thing poking down into the soil??
I actually did. I even got two of these so I’d have varying weights to use. I thought it was a way huge pain in the ass. Lol!Ah, yes. Duct tape.
Have you tried fishing weights? That's what I use. Very flexible and allows the plant to move a bit in the breeze making for stronger limbs. That's a @hafta technique.
Ah. I know those. Yeah those would be easier than the split shot I got. It’s still, imho, about 1000x easier and quicker and more solid to skewer them from underneath. The fishing weights I use look like bullets and have a hole through them big enough to put a paperclip wire through. I have a few different sizes and sometimes combine them on a particularly robust branch.
Mine (and GDB and Shed's) are more about holding branches down and level rather than holding them up. I'd imagine you'd have to pile quite a bit of those buckshot weights up to make a mound high enough and robust enough to hold up the weight you seem to throw around so cavalierly.Ah. I know those. I guess I’m SOL on receiving my GJOM delivery but thankfully I got a pretty decent supply. CLIn light of Prescription Blend becoming defunct and the terrible news I keep getting wind of, I am going to say that my experience with them was 100% positive. I thought they were a great sponsor. And of course I truly and thoroughly believed in the product. It’s been a few grows now since I switched to using PB exclusively I liked them so much. So if it really is RIP to Prescription Blend, it’s a shame and they’ll be missed on many levels.
Meanwhile, I have an 8 plant grow that’s just getting going that I had every intention of using PB on. I still will of course, they’re already started on it. But I reassessed the volume of PB I have left. Now I am fairly certain I will NOT have enough to take 8 plants to harvest from here.
What do you guys think? Here’s what I have. The back row is 100% unopened. Of the rest, 2 Core As and 1 Core B are also unopened. The remaining are about half full. I ain’t going to make it, as fairly soon I’ll need 8 gallons of feed per day. For the next 60 days or so. Lmao. That’s only 480 gallons of feed. Lol. No chance.
Lol, and yeah I get it. I just prefer to do it with my beloved skewers and plant wire. The bamboo is for later when the buds need held up.Mine (and GDB and Shed's) are more about holding branches down and level rather than holding them up. Maybe now would be a good time to talk to you about growing organic.Meanwhile, I have an 8 plant grow that’s just getting going that I had every intention of using PB on. This is my real name too given to me by my Native American Cherokee adopted Grandfather 28 years ago. I learned about our native people here at that time and got a name. It's nothing official like on a list of Native Americans who actually were here before the english settlers or whoever history decides came. I was mostly interested in the spirituality aspect of life back then. I was asked to meditate doing a " walk of 49". That's 49 days of lighting a small fire and walking in a circle 49 times meditating, waiting for a spirit name to come to me. We'd talk about life and after a couple of years a name came to him. I did have a spirit name come to me that is only known to, my creator, my grandfather, and myself.I hate early veg when there’s nothing worth posting pictures of and all you do is wait. To fill the time, here’s one - I use my real name here. I actually am Jon. But most of you guys have monikers or whatever you want to call your handle.
So…anyone got a good story about how they chose their handle or the significance of it?
Maybe that’ll work.
Ha. I have so much Geo left. No soil, but lots of Geo. I’ve done it. So far, the trade off of taste vs yield has coco in the lead by far. Taste is close. Yield is miles apart.Maybe now would be a good time to talk to you about growing organic.
