Flower Day 13

This girl refuses to stop stretching. It’s been very rainy lately so she’s spending some time in the tent by day. Yesterday I had to raise the light, as she had stretched enough in a day that it was too close. Today I again have to raise the light.

Reference Point: the middle support bamboo pole that has both of the tall mains hooked to it. When I put her out to flower 13 days ago she was about halfway up that pole. Now she’s almost at the top. Also, 13 days and still stretching! I know everyone says the stretch is two weeks, but I very rarely get a plant that stretches that entire time. Usually it’s more like 8-10 days.

Awesomeness. I fricking love it.

Tropicanna Banana
Veg
Up Pot Day

She’s comfortably happy in her new digs - 7-gallon final pot. Not sure you can see it, but I have three colas on either side. I’m going to use those six, plus the two in the middle from topping, and octagon out an even flat canopy for this girl.

Our Next Three Players

Let’s take stock of this grow. Here’s what we have going on.

Mac and Jack - flower day 23
Mandarin Zkittlez - flower day 13
Tropicanna Banana - veg - uppotted today
Crescendo - veg - see picture below
OG Kush - a seedling with a tail getting ready to sprout out - see picture below
Arjan’s Strawberry Haze - a seed in wet paper towels

There will be one more entrant - the only
auto in this grow - when the seeds get here. It is a Platinum Mimosa Cookies XXL auto from Growers Choice. We’re capping the photos at six.

I’m extremely excited about the Strawberry Haze. It’s maybe my third or fourth most favorite strain of all time. It smells SO much like strawberries and dankness, the terps make me insane. It doesn’t have whopping high thc, but like Jack Herer or Super Silver Haze, it doesn’t need it. The buzz is amazing. If you’re going to grow this, make sure you get Arjan’s seeds, as the strain is his baby. (Everyone sells a version, I like to go to the source when possible).

Here’s a shot of the Crescendo (Ethos) on the left and our soon to be OG Kush (DNA Genetics Riserva Privada seed) on the right.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

I am finding it hard to believe this is only day 24 of flower. We have two months to go yet, and already just look at these colas! I hope they fatten up until I need a stake supporting every branch.

Part of the point of this training was to see if less is more in terms of the number of big colas. This plant was trained with 10 by design, everything else you see is bonus I chose to keep. She should end up pretty flarf free with gigantic mains. 10 of them. So the test is the yield. But in the meantime she sure is a looker.

I was able to get petty high up today to snap the picture. Had to take it blind a few times til I got it right. Lol.

What a crappy slate of Thanksgiving football games. Oh well. Lmao. Enjoy your turkey day guys.

Flower Day 15

Well it took 15 days and stretching more than double, but we finally have budlets. Guess she finally figured it the hell out. The stretch has taken us to the top of the support pole. With her long internodal spacing all I hope for from this girl is some super kind bud. I don’t expect her to be a big yielder. Let’s get this show on the road!

Flower Day 15

So here’s a focus set on this girl, who has actually turned out quite pretty. Classic Christmas tree shape according to my mother. Lol.

This shows the whole plant, then a bottom to top focus set. She has her fair share of bud sites.

Hey @Jon
How old is this plant? Is it a photo? Will it be grown indoors?
Hi @Hafta - I’m not sure exactly how old cuz yes, she’s a photo, and due to how I’m growing this time I stopped counting veg days. Approximately a month or so. This grow is all photos except one. They veg early in my bedroom closet rig under the Maxsisun blurple. Then they move to the 5x5 to finish veg, get uppotted, and get trained however I’m training. When I decide that the plant is mature enough to go to flower (based on size, non-congruent nodes, rate of growth, etc) they go live outside in my yard to flower in the natural sunlight cycle. I move them to a dark spot with no ambient light in the yard for sleep time, by day they move around (I move them, they unfortunately won’t do it themselves, lazy bitches) and follow the sun to max best direct sun as much as I can.

Does that answer your question? Thanks for reaching out!

@Jon
Thanks, it sort of answers the question.
I asked because I am currently growing a photo and it has been above ground (clay pebbles) for about six weeks. I also will flip it when it looks right so I don't operate by a schedule either.
Since we grow using totally different methods, at the moment, I thought it would be interesting to compare plants of similar age. Mine will probably be flipped in 10 - 14 days.
If the plants moved themselves we would all be searching for exorcists.
