Mimosa
Humboldt Dream
Flower Day 11

I loves me a nice, manageable stretch like this one. Lmao. I have two Mimosa colas screwing up my flat canopy too. If I had known I was going to end up in here I’d have trained her flat. Oh well. Small price to pay.

Note - if you’re going to be stupid like me and flower your photos out in an indoor house closet (with no exhaust!) and keep them at 76 all the time….I strongly suggest you get your fan game in order. Lol.

I said a while back that the PMC was not nearly as much as she appeared to be, and here you go. I bet it’s barely a QP. Might be the largest quarter pound plant ever. Lmao. But man does it smell awesome and I can’t wait to smoke it!

@Mile HIGH Cleaner

I found a new one!!!

Well, anyone like me who is a recent convert and devotee of Mile High Cleaner, I just discovered my favorite use for it yet. I just got done trimming a plant to hang. My hands and fingers were so sticky I was thinking I couldn’t even play my bass for a couple days. Then it hit me - MILE HIGH CLEANER!! I put a small dot of the solution on my warmed hands and rubbed it in real good all over, sat there for all of one minute, and washed it off with plain soap and water. My hands are 100% resin free!! I literally have never experienced it like this before and man, is it sweet to have non-sticky fingers for the next two days!

Jim - you’re a genius.

Thanks CL - thankfully I’m not on one of my yield kicks and instead am focused only on the quality - on that count I’m certain I nailed it. If she’s four ounces instead of 6, or 8, or whatever, I don’t care!

Harvest: Epilogue

Here’s the totality of the flarfy buds on this plant. This is as low an amount of flarf as it gets. Every other bud is hanging. I only post this to smooth the feathers of those who may not be sold on the training method. I said one of the features is minimal flarf - simply requires getting the lower ring out wide enough. Everything that gets light gets bulk. It’s truly that simple. So even though the yield isn’t too high, the useable buds to crap buds ratio is off the charts! Btw - that flarf has already been through the toaster oven. Lol!

Roots:

I see my mistake with this plant. All her roots are pretty much in the pot. I had way too much medium and it took way too long for the roots to hit the res. Btw - they were cleaner before decided to go 18 final days without a res change, lol). The small pot on the White Widow is an attempt to correct this as I saw this coming a while ago. I also think I put too much perlite in the bottom, as it appears the roots got massed and slowed at the bottom of the pot. This is also corrected on the White Widow.

Live and learn! The moment my thirst for learning dies, you can put me in a box.

And of course it wouldn’t be a Jon Journal without the obligatory stem porn picture at the end. Kind of a reverse money shot. Lol!

Banana Daddy Auto

Haven’t forgotten her. She just never did anything. This is all she is. Started weird, and never stopped being a runt. I’ll try it again, but I blew her off weeks ago. But since she’s healthy, I’m keeping her to the end. Maybe she gives me half an ounce. Lol!!

And now our WW takes center stage! She’s into her stretch now and pistiling all over the place. Go girl go!

Btw - I must be addicted to training, because it is KILLING me to leave this plant completely alone but for the 4th node topping. It’s all I can do to not touch her. Lmao!!

HD is filling in sweetly. Mimosa is going to be a mountain, like the Watermelon WeddingCake the first time I grew it. These plants are kicking ass.

HD, Mimosa, collective canopy shot.

Hi @StoneOtter and @Rexer - got a question for you guys.

Is this what I need to chill a res? Or something like it?

That’s what I hate about Auto’s, I grew 2 just like that. I really enjoyed the Green Crack smoke/ high but such a little yield for the trouble. CL🍀

I can't say Jon.

I hear that, but in this case the fault is entirely mine. Way way too much perlite in the bottom. She’s dammed up and the roots are not getting through it. I planted her wrong, she came up wrong, and I never took the steps necessary to correct her. All my fault. And btw - little yield? Not generally for me. Last White Widow = 11+ oz, last Watermelon WeddingCake = 13.8 oz. Both autos.

A day late but congratulations on taking down the frosty "lightweight" beast! The sugar alone on that thing has to weigh a pound. :thumb:
Thanks Shed! What there is of her is fine. Just not much. Lol. TONS of leaf for kief though, you’re right.
