What kind of schedule are you running for the reds?

Mimosa seems to be a pretty vegger! I want to bring mine upstairs and hang with her like a pet! Thanks @StoneOtter! Yeah she’s really gonna go nuts. I can see the side branching coming in now. And that little bamboo bridge is the essence of simplicity and will make a dramatic difference. All the lower branching in the colas will now get the appropriate amount of light. Never did it before. Should have! I can’t seem to capture just how perfect and glorious this Mimosa is in pictures. She’s an astonishing beast, wait til you see her bud out.
I’m running them every moment of the 12 hours in conjunction with the full spectrum. It approximates what my monster light does, which I also pumped up to 680 watts today and added all the reds. It works great. It’s not as much reds as it looks given the angle. What kind of schedule are you running for the reds?
Yeah, it’s my second time growing it. First one was Barney’s Farm I believe. Maybe Humboldt Seed Company. This is Blimburn. It’s a gorgeous strain in veg and flower I think. Emerald green a little different than most others. Trains like a dream. Excellent bud to stem ratio, and all upside in smell and taste. What’s not to love?Mimosa seems to be a pretty vegger! I just checked the ppfd. On either outside edge, with now the reds, we are at about 850 at the canopy level, and around 1050 at the top of the Mimosa colas. In between the edges the canopy averages probably around 925-ish. It’s great. And obviously I can lower as required.I’m running them every moment of the 12 hours in conjunction with the full spectrum. This is my first ever light. I have two. They are old school Maxsisun blurples. They were sold as 1200 watt. Actual wattage draw: about 260 watts. Lmao. But the two together in my first 5x5 worked great considering the level of my ignorance. Now I use them only to augment occasionally as here.Changes to the Flower Closet!
Let’s bring in some more reds! I did it this way one time before - with the Jelly Rancher several grows back. Many of my people think it was the best plant I’ve grown. Let’s give it a shot.
I bet she bulks up a bit more for me now that I engaged the 680 watt boost.Unkempt and unruly for the win!
Lol @StoneOtter, but It’s a good question actually. Some people wait til they see budlets before switching to bloom nutes. I switch autos to bloom nutes as soon as I’m sure that what I’m seeing is the start of flower and not pre-pistils. I feel that most closely duplicates what I do with photos, ie, switch to bloom nutes the day I flip. Plus in the case of this girl, a few of her larger fans are a bit light in the middle, and I know from experience that she’s telling me she wants a bit more CalMag plus Iron and N, and is ready for the P and K. I have now obliged her. Lol! Even if we don’t see buds for a week, she needs that stuff for the stretch imho.Where's the buds? All I saw was a bunch of caterpillars!

PB says their nutes depending on your water will be 5.8-6.4 do you find it necessary to check the ph? CLWhite Widow Auto
New res. 5-gallon. Much better light proofing. Week 4 flower feed of @Prescription Blend nutes (I start flower with the week 4 feed with PB). Ph-ed to 5.54 and let it come up.
Time to start the show.
Hey @CaptainLucky - The Mimosa high to me is a medium level buzz that’s creative, super tasty, and energetic. I also harvest with very little amber so that may be a factor in what I get from it.How is the high? CL
Excellent question - my tap water is usually between 6.9 and 7.1. When I mix a standard gallon of PB nutes - any week - the mix ends up at about 5.9-6.0. So do I ph? I do just cuz I’m a fanatic. Do I have to? Probably not. Certainly not for soil, not really for coco. I’ve used it so much that at this point I pretty much can add the ph down without looking and usually nail it. But when I’m using water in a res I always do. That involves setting the ph lower and letting it come up. So ph-ing imho is absolutely necessary in that scenario. But I’ve used Prescription Blend, Canna, Fox Farms, Blue Planet, and Remo nutes, and of those 5, PB comes the closest naturally to the correct ph.PB says their nutes depending on your water will be 5.8-6.4 do you find it necessary to check the ph? I'm so on board with that!Lol @StoneOtter, but It’s a good question actually. Some people wait til they see budlets before switching to bloom nutes.
