Jon's First Outdoor Grow: Sugar Breath Photoperiod & Strawberry Banana Autoflower

Now there's an educated music aficionado. Although that one was pretty easy Shed, you gotta admit. Nice catch.
Hey @InTheShed, besides being an amazing song writer and Hammond player, did you know Stevie is also a balls to the wall guitar player (it's not fair, lol)? I saw a Youtube video of his band playing Dear Mr. Fantasy, expecting to see him behind the Hammond, and there he was playing lead guitar and singing the song. Amazing.

Morning Jon! Looking great as always. After last summer I'm staying 100% indoors. I think the lights/sun mix causes issues and I was so sick of bird crap on the plants. This way I get clean buds and usually no bug issues and definitely no bird issues. I also won't miss lugging the plants in and out everyday.

Years ago I won the GJOTM. It was a pretty cool prize, I don't remember everything. I do remember the nutes though. The GH micro leaked and was all over everything when the package arrived. The micro was half empty and you can imagine the mess I had on my hands.

Loved Stevie Winwood. Really loved Traffic. Still do.

Have a great day!

Apple Blossom
Flower Day 41

I don't know what to say. This plant is exceeding all my expectations. I had to add to her support game today.

Apple Blossom
Flower Day 43

This plant is fattening up much like the Hulkberry did. The buds look very similar. They are fattening in the same shape and approximate size. It needs supported in the exact same way. Way less flarf than that plant though. Heh. I have come to think of the look of this plant, when I get a hybrid that grows like this, as the "hybrid" pheno. It has the qualities of both sativas and indicas in terms of the bud formation. From the side you'd think these were sativa buds, just hard to see all the twists and sativa bend type growth. From the top you might think indica - see how many of the buds are becoming more rounded and fat than pointy on the top? I think of this as an indica quality. They aren't as long as sativa buds and not as fat as indica buds. Something in between. Don't know if my observations have any validity or not, but that's about where I am in terms of pheno assessment.

Wake up call this morning:

Hi @Bill284 - hope you're feeling good this morning and got your coffee on. So sprouting in coco is just a *touch* trickier than sprouting out of soil I see. At this point, the seedling is and seemingly will behave just like a seedling in soil. It doesn't take any more water to start them in coco than it does in soil, at least that's how it seems. And coco holds water much better than I thought. I never got the chance to see that last time because by the time they hit coco they already had significant roots and just drank and drank. But as we're not there, I see how it actually holds water. Another example is the starter pots. When I prepped, I moistened the entire medium to activate the little guys. It was far from "wet," just moist. And the Dixie cup I prepped two days ago for the Watermelon Weddingcake auto is still moist. Anyway, worth noting for me.

So now I watch them very closely. Imho, this is when one can very much control internodal stretch. If I want them to be squat bushes I'll give them more light. If I want space, less. I think I am dialed in now at 320 ppfd. That's sort of a seedling sweet spot for me in terms of light. So we'll see how they grow out these first couple nodes.

Morning Amigo, it's a good day been rough for about 2 weeks now.
Finally able to get around the house today, woohoo.
And Stacey brought home a puppy the other day , so it's hilarious here today.
We have a new member of the family.
You would have laughed your ass off watching me hobbling around chasing a puppy around the house.
Howie is his name, he is a Merle colored Cockapoo.
I put a couple pics in off topic photos but now I can't find them.
Ok back to business.
When I used to do babies in solo cups I found ppdf must stay under 400.
They didn't like too much bright light at first.
Second I used a spray bottle to water the solo cups.
Alternating between Roots Excelurator Gold and Superthrive in the spray bottle with light nutrients.
I spray lightly around the outside rim until I see a little water dripping out the bottom.
Roots will chase it to the bottom.
Just what I do, I'm sure you have it down pat though.
I find they grow pretty quick in coco so it should be fun.

Stay safe
Bill

Jon that apple blossom looks fantastic. Beautiful plant. Well done.

Cool! Well, glad you're a little less hobbled, but WOW, a puppy! Good for you! Feel free (if you like) to post her here.

Yeah, this is essentially exactly what I do, only I use the lid of a water bottle instead of a sprayer, and I'm using the light nutes and cal mag. The ppfd is under 400 and I agree with you there too. Great points, thanks. Congrats on your new buddy Merle!
