Jon's First Outdoor Grow: Sugar Breath Photoperiod & Strawberry Banana Autoflower

Ethos gave me Bruce banner fems and my pre release was chemD autos.

I didn’t know I could choose my freebies lol. Did you?
I figured it out the second time. Lol. Great company though, generous with the freebies, and the Ethos freebies you actually know where they came from. I think the non labeled (in terms of who made it) freebies come from a warehouse and even they don't know the genetics of them. I think.

I’m not sure. I’d like to think I got some genuine Bruce banner for free. I went thru NASC. So Im assuming it can’t be anything bunk. Not assuming. Hoping.

I got white wedding btw. I noticed you got crescendo. Great genetics. :)

A Mysterious Sunday Update

Today is overcast and cloudy all day here. No direct sunlight for our lady today, just what you see. Perfect day to sneak in a foliar feed. Lol. I like those rare days when you can get away with that, cuz I have to figure it has more value when applied during active daylight hours than it does sitting there overnight in the dark.

Our lady and a bonus picture for your Sunday viewing pleasure - morning dew on a spider web in our planter.

Cloudy no sun day for mystery girl.jpg

I was thinking there might be a middle ground in there somewhere. Like maybe a P Journal would be eligible if it had a sub-heading or announcement or something to say, okay, for GJOM purposes, today we start plants x,y and z and we'll focus on these guys exclusively for a while" sort of thing, you know? Whatever, not my realm, I'm just thinking out loud.

i got no problem with it. i have a perpetual journal but i always intended to do side journals as well. i haven't done much different for a long time so it never warranted it. if i had sponsored gear i was running i'd definitely do a separate or side journal.

besides. who cares if you're "winning" shit or not. that's not the main reason i'm here. i used to joke about not having any titles. then i got one and had to shut up.

maybe i'll do a short side journal on the @NextLight i was given. it's a monster, but i can only use it in flower

That right there is the absolute truth.

The fact that Perpetual journals can't be nominated at all is understandable. And winning shouldn't be a reason for anyone to start one in the first place.

It sure isn't going to change anything for me, as I just enjoy having my corner where I can ramble away :laughtwo:. Sometimes I learn, sometimes I get to repay the learning.

I will say this though: when I first joined here, I learned a lot from the perpetual journals, and I hope they continue to happen :).

Back on topic- Jon, i love that photo of the Dew on the web, really cool!

It's all good Rex, it makes no difference to me at all. What I do here is for me first and you guys second. That's absolute truth too. Other than learning to grow, it's all gravy to me, lol. It's nice to win stuff, and it's fun to enter contests, but at the end of the day it's just a fun distraction. I wasn't advocating for or against anything, just tossing out thoughts really. I love perpetual journals and obviously have no issue with them considering how much time I spend in them, lol. I actually also tend to learn a broader array of stuff from them, where with a self contained grow journal it tends to be more targeted learning, you know?

Let's learn. Have fun. Grow great weed. And enjoy the ride.

Mystery's Monday Morning View

Ok, her name is Mystery. Duh. I think she's got her green back to where I want it, or at least where I think it should be. I see a topping in this girl's not too distant future. Loving the internodal spacing on her so far. If she's a Pineapple Upside Down Cake, one thing I have in my notes from the first one was that the first five or six nodes are tight and then the start to open up leading up to the cola. I found that to be a little unusual at the time so I noted it. Not sure it is or not, but where she is now is about when the nodes started to stretch out between branches. That was with no training, so I chalked that up to "this is how she naturally grows." She won't have the chance this time.

She could have worse views.
