Jon's First Outdoor Grow: Sugar Breath Photoperiod & Strawberry Banana Autoflower

You got ambers lmao.
Sort of. Not legit ambers where you see an actual round head of amber. That's a legit amber and they don't count if they aren't legit.

Did not know that. So got have round head on end of the ambers.
All I'm saying is that I don't count them as amber until I see round balls of amber on the ends of trichome stalks, versus the sort of kind of a couple starting to turn a little amber thing I have at the moment. In a couple days I'll have enough and you'll see exactly what I mean. I can't explain it very well. But to be clear, this is just me, I have no idea in reality when they "actually" and "scientifically" start to "count." Lol.

CJS Apple Blossom
Grow Day 74
Flower/Stretch Day 14

Cool enough reason to post #756:
not only is it 2-2-22, we're also through 2 weeks of flower as of today! That means today in plant CJS AB time is 2/2/2/22. Which is a stretch, but okay, we'll go with it. Got my new phone today. Not sure if it improves the pictures or not, you guys tell me. Here's our girl today right before lights out.

I think the Apple Blossom is my fave!
Thanks @InTheShed! Morning my man. One of the most cooperative plants I've grown. She does whatever I want and has very little rogue in her, if you know what I mean. Can't wait to see what her buds look like. Humboldt says you can get blues! I don't think I've ever gotten blues before. Lots of purple, not blue. That would be cool.

Hey that begs a question I've been wondering about that you may have some insight on. I have been consistently doing the cold temperature at night thing with my tent plants. Starting about halfway through flower I gradually start lowering the overnight temps until I can get them down to around 58 degrees overnight. (that seems to be the coldest I can achieve with my technology and weather). This seems to ALWAYS bring out the purple. I mean specifically purple. Doesn't even seem to matter what strain, or if it's photo or auto, they all seem to go purple with colder temps consistently. This applies more to the fan and sugar leaves, not necessarily the buds themselves as much, but they too seem to get more colorfully pronounced. So what I'm wondering is if you might know if there is a scientific relationship between colder temps and the emergence of purple specifically? There's got to be a reason and it's got to be temperature related is my very strong feeling. Btw - side note - I would also argue that the colder temps contribute to the density of the buds I get most of the time. Thoughts on that? (Obviously all my 'assertions' here are observationally based)

Whatchoo got? Lol....thanks Shed.

Undercarriage Cleanup Step 3
Grow Day 75
Flower Stretch Day 15

I think I'm done with the undercarriage now. She's had many a straggler removed, more so than I ever have before. Taking a more Shed-esque approach to removing growth that'll never amount to anything this time. More aggressive than I've been in the past. But wow, does it seem to have an effect. The buds are very well developed for day 15, and I wonder if removing growth robbing extraneous crap has helped this. @InTheShed, what do you think?

So here's her undercarriage now, what's above that, and a special shot at the end to see how my girl looks to the dirt.

Jon can you move near me so I can have some. K thanks... Haha
Well Moon, you're welcome here anytime you want to come visit a warm place with lots of water. I got you. Lol.

Quick Pictorial Peek at @Bill284's Coco Grow
Flower Day 62

This first picture is a 3rd node Dos Si Dos branch:

Then we have the battle of the colas, first up, the Dos Si Dos:

Versus her competition, the Strawberry Lemonade:

And then we have a full on shot of the state of play in Cocotown:

It's a pictorial post cuz I simply don't know what to say about either of these plants. I'm salivating every time I open the tent.

I love how heavy those top buds are Mr Jon! How long you think you have left? Guessing any day now :)

The Strawberry Lemonade is any day now. The Dos Si Dos is just starting to fatten up. The sativa pheno takes a lot longer than the indica one apparently. I think the DSD has more like 10 days.

Hi @Jon, your apple looks great how many times did you have to pinch it to make it happen like this?

Hi @Kanno26, how you doing? I topped the plant above the fourth node, then quadlined her out with the 4th and 3rd node branches, then topped about every other branch going around the outside if it was up to canopy level. Then I supercropped a little in the interior to try and space things appropriately. Other than that it's all putting branches and colas where I want them and making them stay there. I released all her bonds around day two or three of the stretch so that she could grow up and get some stem under some of the shorter branches and let some of the outer ones catch up to the canopy. That's about it. Total number of "pinches" or "toppings" as I refer to them, I didn't count, but if you count the main topping above node 4, the total was probably around 12-ish. Not what I'd consider a ton. The idea was to fill the 3x3 space, but also allow for stem under the buds and space between them. I think I did okay. Stretch is almost over, so she's basically pretty set now, this is pretty much what we go with for flower and the fun part now. My work is done. Lmao. All I have to do now is follow a feed chart. And watch and wait. The strain, according to Humboldt, is a 45 day flower. We'll see. They're usually fairly accurate with their estimates. That's 45 from the flip.

So I'm curious what will grow out of it as a monstrous plant, I keep my fingers crossed
