I Lied a Little

We are adding one plant to this journal. Just a back lennai rig auto, unrelated to the 3 auto/3 lb. attempt. I have a space that has to be filled.

White Widow
Original Harvest Seeds
Autoflower
3 gallon @GeoPot
Coco/bokashi/frass/perlite a la @Bill284
24/0 til pistils then 20/4
Sunlight for 8-10 hours a day
LED at night

She just got planted in the coco Solo cup.

To prep a Solo cup I do this:

1. Prep cup a la @Bill284 with layers
2. Water to runoff with @Prescription Blend seedling section feed from chart
3. Make divot in center with finger
4. Make hole inside the divot with skewer
5. Coat hole with Great White myco
6. Drop seedling as show into hole
7. Manipulate so tail is in skewer hole but not the head
8. Cover with wet coco

Last night these two colas were one right at the screen and one about an inch below. Neither had cleared the net. In about the last 12 hours or maybe 10, they are now here. Wow.

So I gotta be honest here. I was totally fine with filling the lower net. Fine with letting them grow up from there too. But at this point I have some colas at the upper net, many not, and no signs of slow down. I’m officially in uncharted territory for me. Not sure what to do now. I don’t want to compromise the dominant colas by using the upper screen to keep them flat - that will turn a huge bud into several smaller ones. And mostly the dominant ones are on the outside of the square. So I’m inclined to let everything just go as is now and see how the chips fall. If those colas get too high ahead of the others I guess I can reassess at that point.

Thoughts?

With the right genetics not hard at all

On my last grow I harvested 15.6 oz from a Gorilla Glue with no training.

My King Gelato was a mess with one topping and early LST for 14.6 oz.

Your plan is entirely feasible and I'll be watching closely

Dude I'm liking your style,I'm shitting my pants reading about people only getting an Oz or two off each plant,that's not even worth the trouble,I got a gg4 auto outdoor right now,in Fox Farm ocean with perlite,what did you use on your gg4 if u don't mind,would love to know,currently I have 3 autos going, the gg4 and two ak47xwhite window auto,can't wait to see what I pull

Ha! Thanks @StoneOtter ! It needs a professional setup which will happen in a couple days, but as is it’s pretty damn sweet. Faster than my Carvin. A LOT faster. The top heel of the body doesn’t stop your thumb til it hits where the body joins the neck AT THE 19th FRET! I have access to the upper register I’ve never experienced. So far I’m in love.

Edit: I opted for the super ducky airline proofed hard case instead of the standard one - never before paid so much for a case, but I’ll tell you what, it’s perfect and completely worth every penny. Best case I’ve ever seen. 30 years.

Hiya @Rexer - hope Auto Scrog Sensei is well. I have a question. See the pictures below. Our first cola has reached the upper screen. Her sister, your first node branch cola, is directly to her right and next up. So I guess at this point I’m just gonna see how far over they go? Wait a day or two before assessment/action? What’s your take, please?

Sorry I missed this.

If easy to reach- pinch them. Exactly like doing a supercrop, where you roll the stem between your fingers, apply pressure until you get a "pop" feeling. Just leave it standing straight though.
That branch will now be slowed for a day or two. Repeat as necessary.
Is it worth it? Damn straight- wait until you see a branch that has been repeatedly pinched.

If they're not easy to reach, see if you can tuck them over. Otherwise you'll just have a cola with slight dominance. At this point, its not too bad. It will happen at one point, cause soon as the stretch is done- you're done and then it's normal maintenance as any other grow.

Thanks @StoneOtter - it’s so funny, I’m sure you’re familiar with the “what I see vs what you see” game, right? That’s when others look at your grow and see all this great stuff and you look at your grow and see nothing but what you wish it was. All I see is a half decent scrog attempt where the entire left side is a little taller than the right. Lol.
