Jon’s 3 Autoflower - 3 Pounds Attempt Grow

White Widow

She has shed her seed coat and is on her way! I still get amazed every time that this tiny thing becomes what it does. What a plant.

I’ve been very away lately. I’ve been in nobody’s journals and barely my own. I have taken some very serious hits in my personal life lately, and they have necessitated me spending less time here. I won’t bore you with details but suffice it to say my lucky streak is officially over. And Shakespeare had it right, we really should kill all the lawyers. My entire future picture basically changed about five days ago to the point that I am now in complete new plan mode. Not the easiest thing when everything was already set up for the last couple years. At the moment I no longer know where I’m going to live if and when I ever get out of this horrible state. I’ll figure it out of course, that’s what I do. But it sucks bad at the moment.

Ok on to more important matters.

Melissa and Medusa
Day 16

So both of these gals are pushing out the fourth node, and soon I will have to start to think about when the res needs water. Also still have to change the yellow on the lid.

I have decided to wait and top above node 5 on the WWC. Then kill node one. Not sure yet about the FR.

I’m on week 3 of the PB feed chart with them as of today. I jumped the gun a little on this due to the Forbidden Runtz looking like she wants more N. She’s a little pale. We’ll see if that tightens her up. The Watermelon WeddingCake looks spectacular.

Environment is steady in the upper 70s and around 65% RH, ppfd level is around 500, on 24/0.

Here’s the thing: you see what I see? I see two goddamn indica phenotypes. Not the slightest sativa sniff. This of course kills our three pound goal altogether, case closed. I can’t beat genetics. These plants simply won’t side branch or stretch enough. I can tell already. Could I be wrong? Sure I can always be wrong. But I’m letting go of the three pound thing. I was hoping for two more like Melinda. Oh well. So I’m going to just focus on getting what I can and the pot experiments.

Still, for day 16 this is pretty rocking growth. Here’s the girls. Medusa (Forbidden Runtz) is in the AirPot.

Sorry to hear of your struggles, Jon. Hopefully things will turn for you soon.

There's an expression in religious circles that "when God closes a door, he opens a window" so hopefully that will prove true for you.

Sending positive vibes your way.

Responsiveness

One thing I love about both autos, and growing in coco, is how quickly you see the plant respond to various things. When I watered this morning, this Forbidden Runtz was looking a bit pale and just a touch in need of more N (in my estimation). I posted her and you could see the color was off. So as noted, I jumped the gun by three days on switching from week 2 to week 3 of veg on the @Prescription Blend feed chart. This is when the good stuff gets pumped up to higher levels, including N. I figured it would be enough.

Here she is 11 hours later. Same light, same everything. Way greener and noticeably improved in color.

This is what I mean by responsive.

Edit: here’s a clearer thing: side by side from this morning to now.
