Jon’s 3 Autoflower - 3 Pounds Attempt Grow

SOLD @Vegan4life ! Well done! So which one is Melissa? The Forbidden Runtz or the Watermelon WeddingCake?

That gives us Melinda and Melissa. Should be fun for me posting baked.
I think Medusa would be a good name for the Forbidden Runtz

Time for Names!

Anyone who wishes to play along at home, I like to name my plants, and often toss it to you guys for input

I named the Banana Sherbet. She is Melinda.

The Watermelon WeddingCake and Forbidden Runtz both need names.

I’m not as cool as @StoneOtter, so sorry, no super cool naming poll. But if you would like to put a name out please do!

Thanks!
How about Wendy and Ronda?

When you look at her you turn stoned…
Ok, I hate to have the same person give me both names, and I liked all the ones you guys put out - thanks to anyone who played along. Something to do on a boring Monday. But @Vegan4life, I gotta give it to you - Medusa is sheer genius, and the follow up - that’s what I’m talking about. So Medusa it is for the Forbidden Runtz.

Melinda, Melissa, and Medusa. That covers Paul Simon, the Allman Brothers, and a Greek mythology. I’m totally cool with that. Thanks Vegan4life!

And thanks to the rest of you guys for your interest and attention.

Wwake and Fruntz. I can't remember what plant is what variety when folks give them names!
I’ll make name tags for them for the pictures for you. That’s kind of a fun idea anyway! I gotta have names. I literally talk to them constantly. Can’t constantly be using monikers like dear and pumpkin forever. Lmao!

That way, @InTheShed, when the roots of the Watermelon WeddingCake hit the water, I quickly find the reservoir to be more problematic than expected and the whole plant goes south I’ll be able to open the tent in the morning and go, “oh damn, Melissa, you look like crap!”

Day 33

Happiness WAS a pistil free auto. Looks like we’re about to start changing over goddamnit. Hope Rex is right and we can fill in spaces during the stretch.

It's been my experience to date that they'll stretch more than enough. Just keep :meatballs:and weavin as they hit it.

Day 34

I hope you’re right @Rexer cuz otherwise, as we’ve already established, it’ll be all your fault.

Seriously though, here’s how we did with the first screen at day 34. And she is way in flower and starting to stretch.

So at this point I’m thinking to just let it go vertically until the upper screen and sort it out there. What do you think? Or would you completely fill the bottom screen every single possible area?

Day 34

We did okay on the first screen. Not great but okay. I did what she gave me to work with as best I could.

So now I think I’m just going to let it go vertically and sort things out upstairs, unless Rex talks me out of that.

Here she is, with a shot to show we’re in flower now. I switched her feed to week 5 of the PB chart this morning. First bloom week of feeding.

Don't loose faith just as she's starting to stetch.
Fill the bottom net as much and best you can, until the branches have become too stiff (risk of snapping), or the net is filled. Once it's through the bottom net, you'll loose a lot of weaving ability. Use the top net for support of the colas.
You could just let it go like you said, it is your grow. But if it were mine? I'd fill that bottom net. The sooner the branches are spread, the better IMO.

Awesome. Done. I’ll ride your train and fill the crap out of the lower screen. Thanks so much.

Banana Sherbet For the Stat folks:

Environment - Temperature - 75-85 degree range, RH - 50-65% range.

Light - @NextLight 420h is at 100% power and the ppfd at the lower screen is 800-850.

Nutes - Week 5 (first Bloom week) of the @Prescription Blend feed chart, followed to the letter since day one, with zero amendments, except obviously CalMag. Always ph 5.8.

Defoliation - I’ve taken 1 leaf. No defoliation with this plant so far.

Training - As you see.

Did I miss anything?

You could remove a few leaves. Leave the outter leaves, but take from the inside (never snipp both in & out unless absolutely necessary).

As always, it's hard for me to visualize, so take this as a suggestion only. The red dots are possible leaves for defoliation. They're blocking a bit of light, but you want to remove where possible to help keep the veg hormones going.
The lower left red dot is for the Leaf hidden on the far side of the cola.
If it looks fine with you, let them be.
Remember, we want to target a few leaves each day, when possible at this point. She should start pushing put loads of foliage soon.
