Jandre2k3's Cardboard Flower Box - Test 4: ScrOG

damn A1 good news all round! im happy for you, its going to get out about cbd, the strains that help me the most are all least somewhat high in cbd,i have yet to get my hands on any beans, but im eventually going to have them, its important work your doing,i really want to do some cbd rich in high brix,i think that would be amazing! , J you sound a little non commital there which is it or isnt?:high-five:

my first breeding project which starts next week will be with a strain made to help chrohns patients crossed with a high cbd rich plant. I expect the first seeds in a few months and then time to cure and regrow and see what we came up with. CBD is the new pain med of the future.

the highest cbd i have had was ghs chemdog @ 1.50cbd and cream caramel @ 1.60cbd, and both were quite helpful with pain, but i have been reading and eyballing several like otto#1,harliquin,cannatonic,etc

SOHUM-Harle-Tsu

Our best CBD strain currently available. We had great results with Harle-Tsu in 2012. A Harle-Tsu won Highest CBD award at the Emerald Cup,testing at 20% CBD and less than 1% THC. For a CBD variety it grows like an indica, short, stout and sweet.
Sour Tsunami male and Harlequin clone.
75% chance of being CBD rich!

and that's just one of them that high in CBD.

part of a blog from pure analitics,
i'll pm u the link. "In 2011 came reports –validated by lab tests– of plants containing twenty times more CBD than THC. The unique find was termed "ACDC" by those who possessed isolated female plants. This ACDC strain, also known as C-6, consistently exhibited 16-20% CBD and 0.5-1% THC by weight. This "ACDC" cultivar was later identified as a variant of Cannatonic, a strain distributed by Resin Seed Co. of Spain then in its second generation of breeding development."
I have a cutting from it, got it from Harborside when they had it. :slide:

this is the first I have heard of anything this high. Best tested strain I have personally seen is 15%

Good Weed Jandre!
sorry I forgot to come by yesterday to wish you a happy Fathers Day:circle-of-love:
so Happy Day after Fathers Day:)

lol thats a funny thought A1
i was just discussing that with someone
like how discovery channel got those reality shows and people travel check some of them out, i was thinking when are they gonna make a tour for weed country lol

need to come visit northern California soon. Do they have grow tours there like they are planning here?

People are pretty secure around here since California seems to be ground zero for the feds to raid people, even though Colorado has very large commercial grows, and has had for a long time...

I, personally, haven't heard of any tours.

I think Weed Wars took care of that part.

hey jandre hows things friend,

you know these high cbd strains, well regular hemp has very little thc but has very high cbd levels or so i have read, so would it be possible to cross a regular cannabis with hemp and achieve high cbd levels but also have some of the thc in it as well,

when i was cleaning out my mates shed the other day he does a lot of fishing and he had a big bin full of hemp seeds, i soaked a few to see if their viable and they sprouted so planted one and it grew like crazy, fastest plant ive ever seen grow, like bamboo, but very little side branches just stretched for the sky, i killed it off as it is of know use to me but was just checking if fishing hemp was still viable or treated to prevent sprouting,

so i read up online about hemp and it said it has less than 1%thc even as low as 0.1thc but it had very high cbd levels, not sure on % ill try and find the link and see what % it said but it was pretty high, so for the medical users that are after the high cbd and low thc levels i was thinking along the lines of breeding hemp with cannabis, possible cannabis female with male hemp, i know it would take some breeding to get it right but if a person was just after cbd then could they just grow hemp instead of cannabis, that way they got no thc and just the cbd, or if they wanted thc and also high levels of cbd then i was thinking crossing the 2 plants might be of some use at getting higher cbd levels,

or could this be how the breeders are getting high cbd levels, could their be some hemp in the genetic make up of the high cbd strains,
my mate says he used to throw handfuls of hemp in the rivers and lakes when he went fishing, so i guess it would be possible to find hemp growing at random locations due to fisherman using it, my parrot also has hemp seeds in his parrot food, well i think their hemp, looks the same as cannabis seeds but then hemp is the same plant, its not something i want to try and grow, last thing i want is getting caught and knowing i got caught growing hemp which is of know use to me at all,

anyways mate, just thought id throw that out their in case anyone has heard of cbd levels in hemp or even experimented with crossing regular cannabis with hemp to try and achieve high cbd levels,

peace

As I understand it Hemp is high in CBD and almost no THC at all. This was the same, but in reverse in cannabis. Breeding cannabis with hemp, not only will give a plant with very high chance of containing CBD, but most likely will make a 12-16 foot plant. That is the part that is undesirable to most growers, with the current federal laws in effect. With a few exceptions, we need to keep things smaller so as not to send out a beacon to the rest of the world that the plant is being grown. Granted, that can be bred out of the plant, but it would take as much time as the CBD project has already put into increasing the CBD in cannabis strains that are already higher than the normal THC-heavy plants... Cannabis, as a whole, for the past several years (almost 3 decades) has been bred to increase the THC available in the harvested flower.

Unfortunately this has had the inverse effect on the CBD that was present in the plant to begin with. What is being done, right now, is breeding to REVERSE that decades-old mistake, and bring back the CBD levels to a much higher percent than they were before. CBD was always present, even traces, so that's all that really needs to be done, now.

A very good question, and comment. Thank you for sharing it with us here in the thread. +rep
