James Bong's First Grow

Oh wow there's like a hundred different feeding charts for those nutes. That's helpful lol.
I'd cut the ab and 52 down to 0.5 and leave the calmag as is mate.
Give that Coco a good drenching every day. You want to see run off every time you feed.
If you let it dry out the nutes turn back into salts and build up in the pot. Doesn't take long to fry them if you don't keep the Coco wet.
Feed like that untill the bottom leaves start yellowing in a couple weeks then go back up to 1ml/L.
They really don't need strong nutes in Coco because of the volume you gotta feed. Don't worry about them being under nourished. The worst that can happen is a few leaves go a bit yellow. They fix themselves once you up the dose.
Feed to strong though and lots of things can go wrong.
Its always easier to add something in than it is to take it back out :)

Thanks Barney, here’s a better pic of them transplanted. Into new their new pots.

Starting to look happy! They will let you know conditions are perfect when they leaves are slightly pointing upwards. I think with in the next day they will be smiling at you. :Namaste:

I don’t know the PPM/EC but my recipe is 1ml per liter Sensi Coco grow A&B, 1ml per liter B-52, and .5ml per liter Cal-mag(sense I’m using tap water) feeding them once every day about 10-12oz a piece.

And I just finished transplanting them into 5gal bags. Using great white then watered a liter a piece with the same formula.

AN nutrients has an app called bud labs ! I learned with @Pennywise not to go over 50% of there recommended dosing ! The rest is a waste of money.

Bingo mate!

"The rest is a waste of money"

Love it man! I'm a minimalist feeder too.
We seem to be gradually getting through to the masses :)

3-5oz plants should be ok on max of 500ppm or 1.0 EC from post-seedling to finish.
That number is not including the water source though bud.
Depending on the ppm of the water you may or may not need calmag.
Calmag is helpful as it keeps your pH in range but really you need to go get a
pH meter and a PPM/TDS/EC meter.

The cheap ppm pens on Amazon are good , I'll link you mine if you like . It was only £10 and was as good as anything on the market. The battery lasted 3 years and I never had to calibrate it once.

The cheap pH meters are useless though. Best you'll get a reliable one is £30-£40.

You don't have them though so feed 0.5 ml/L of everything and it should turn out close enough.

Just feed as little as you can and wait for bits to go yellow. If they aint going yellow, getting rust spots or intervienal fading on the mid growth, then they don't want anything more.

Over feeding them restults in build ups which are dangerous.

Underfeeding them causes no problems as long as your not leaving them for a week at a time or substituting their nutes for a shot of vodka :)

Sorry guys Spent a few nights in the Correctional hotel (fuckin bourbon) I’ll get some pics soon when I get them pepped up again. Have a little recovering to do. Me and the garden both.

Here’s just a quick pic of the hopefully ladies, thinking about topping and beginning my LST in the next few days.

The bushy characteristic of the middle plant is really impressing me

Nice clean cut! I have a bad habit of cutting to low, if I say something maybe it’ll stick in my brain a bit better haha, next time you top, cut a bit higher as you will have less of a chance splitting the stock when she grows up and has weight on both branches, (from colas) well you know that gravity thing, what goes up, must come down. :nerd-with-glasses:

Lookin good man!! :thumb:

I will keep that noted, thank you. I just spread the top growth apart and gently pressed the new growth until it popped. I didn’t trust myself with a pair of snips in there lol

The plants are looking good feel like they’re just blowing up. Under growth is blasting off. They seem to LOVE the advanced nutrients mix. Going to try my hand at LST tomorrow.
Here’s a pic of the under growth on a few.

Thanks guys I just finished my first round of LST I’ll snap some pictures later when I get home. I tied 2 lines a piece one at the bottom pulling the opposite direction of the top bend and one at the top bending the plant over. Once I get my under growth growing towards the light I will spread those branches out to fill my space. I didn’t realize how tight my node stacking was.

When should I expect to see some preflowering?
