James Bong's First Grow

I’m sorry I can’t 100% tell.. those are all topped right?

If so, then as they grow out, it will get easier.

I’m at that awkward stage in the plants life right now too. :laughtwo:

Yeah they’re pretty goofy looking with out the big fan leafs but the lowers appreciate it a lot.

Yes they’re all topped and lightly defoliated

9/2/19

Just a quick update on the tent. My temps are still pretty consistent in the low-mid 70s with a RH percentage from mid-high 50s.
I just raised my lights a few inches to keep them at 18” from my tallest plant.
I went through and did a little more defoliating on them. They are looking happy and healthy to my untrained eye.

Just touching base with a few more pics.
Everything still going smoothly. 72f 51% RH

Only thing new is I threw on my carbon filter had no idea how dank vegging plants smelled.

Thinking I’ll flip the lights in 1-2 weeks from Saturday.

The wife and I were surprised by how much my Ladies were stanking while In veg too.

The grow is looking good though, nice and lush.

So when it comes to flipping to flowering what are the steps other then switching the light schedule.
I am getting my bloom lined of mutes do I just switch the formula? And keep it moving the same as I have been?
Should I attempt to flush out the veg bites before feeding bloom nutes?

And help is appreciated.

Cheers

Highya James,

I grow outdoors in soil, so mine switch by the sun. I do change the nute feeding, but mostly I keep putting the microbes (AACT) to keep the microherd delivering the nutrients that the plant needs when it needs it. When you flip, the ladies will "stretch" for 2-3 weeks, then pop out the pistils. I don't believe a flush is necessary. I never do.
Actually I did flush once. Growing in 5 gal buckets, and something was out of whack; so I flushed, and she took off growing again.
Probably more info than you wanted, but there it is. Cheers

Ok, so here’s the steps JB.

1) change light timer to 12/12 schedule.

wait till you see pistils before adding flowering nutes.

Until they are 100% visible just keep feeding them what you’ve been feeding them.

Yes you can do a flush, before going into flower, not to wash away the “veg nutes” but to wash away any calcium or magnesium salt build ups that may have occurred during veg.

Well guys Day 1 of 12-12 has begun, I’m following @Backlipslide advice and continuing my cure feed schedule and recipe minus the B-52 for the first 3 weeks while they stretch. I will be introducing big bud during week 2 and cutting it out around week 6. I will flush with PH water at the end of each week for the first 3 weeks to make sure I remove any build ups.
Thank you all for sticking with me this long and keeping it as smooth as it’s been.

Cheers :bongrip:

Your plants look great bro!

Going to have some big ol’ colas in your tent!! :yahoo:
Thanks man, I owe to you guys on this thread along with the wealth of knowledge on the site alone. Only thing that could’ve been any easier is one of you doing it for me. I’ll be taking plenty of tokes in your name in the near future :passitleft:

That would be awesome brother!! Cheers to you my man!!

Ok guys, i have 2 plants that I believe are showing some pre flower gender reveal but I’m not 100% sure. I’m going to post the zoomed in pics. Then please let me know if A) I’m looking at the right spot B) what gender it would be. From what I’ve researched I believe I know but like I said not 100% sure.
Thanks guys, it’s getting exciting!
