Jack Herer & Panama Red In Doc's Hi Brix

My temp controller for flower room doesn't have night setting, what I'm going to do is set thermostat on heater a bit lower for night temps and my exhaust fan turns on and off to control the cooling through the light, it would be so much easier to dial in if my flower room wasn't so far from my house. The comical part is that by the time I'm dialed in for winter it will be summer..

For me, the most economical way to get decent climate control is with a minisplit, but the savings are realized over years due to the upfront cost. The quickest, easiest way to get decent climate control is also the least expensive up-front, and that's with window mount AC. I have a lot of them, and a few spares standing by. When one goes down, it's only a few minutes to have the next one in place and operating. They do the job better than portables, but not quite as well as the minisplit. Both produce excellent distillate, which I use for watering.

If you can insulate the room, it won't matter as much between summer and winter.

I really want a mini split, but were going to sell our property so its not worth it until I'm set up more permanently. I just added a pretty big humidifier so hopefully that helps. I'm so thankful I didn't put the panama reds in the flower tent yet, still trying to get it dialed in

Looking good! Minisplits travel easily....

LOL, I've considered it, I picked out a Mitsubishi 600/800watts, too much hassle to find a guy who can be discrete to charge it up with freon. I'm looking into a ceiling mount fan operated heater. My electric bill will probably be up to 1000 dollars, well see.. I'm actually looking forward to a new place. We have 2 well pumps that feed the ranch and they draw a lot of power

Finally got humidity to raise, the new humidifier works really well. My temps at 3AM were sitting at 73, I know they need a bit higher but its a start to a perfect environment. I noticed at lights off the humidity was at 90%, so I will probably get a dehumidifier, after all this equipment I might get lucky and have enough room to grow a plant or two.

Hey Calic! Can you adjust your humidifier? I can adjust mine but it's still to high at lights out, what I did was plug it into the same timer as the light so it's off at lights out and that is pretty much perfect.

What size is your tent? I have a 4 by 4 and there is no room for a dehumidifier. I'm going from 3 to 4 plants and am gonna need to figure out where to put my fans and Huey.

Yeah, its a 5x5, I'll actually get about 9 in there. My humidifier is adjustable, I just turned it down to 50%, I think your right about hooking to lights to cycle off, I have to turn exhaust fan off at lights out otherwise the tent gets down to 50 degrees so that's not an option, I am however cycling it after 2 hours for 30min to see if that helps. I should also add that I'm not flowering yet until its all dialed in

OK, here they are, I was being a bit lazy and didn't want to take pics, I have been feeding more frequently as well, they needed it. I figured that they were getting too cold before and not drinking enough so my feedings were spread too far apart so now I'm on track. I'm considering flowering a couple this weekend, I need more room in veg for clones. I have more soil cooking but kinda gave up on it due to temps being too low, I'll just have to wait until summer to cook it which is very depressing

NIce! How big are those pots?

You've got it going on in there now. Mix your drenches on the high side for sure and don't be shy about a Super Drench once or twice. They look like they want that to me.

Too bad you can't find a way to keep that soil going. I think you're going to have a very nice harvest on this one, barring circumstances beyond your control. Fingers crossed, but it looks very promising. :thumb:

Thanks, I do enjoy come backs. The pots are still 1 gal, I would love to veg one more week before I upcan, they are almost recovered and need a bit more time. That's why I'm only going to do 2 this weekend.I can keep the soil around 65 for 12 hrs but the other 12 might drop lower. I ordered an electric blanket but it shuts off after 10 hrs and won't turn back on unless I manually reset it so timer won't work. I may just go ahead and run it anyways after a 2 month cook

The floor of your tent looks just like mine:laughtwo: It is so hard to keep my tents clean while growing perpetually and always having plants in them!

LOL. I agree, that happens when I upend the pots and check roots. I clean when I've had about enough and aren't working insane hours too. I'm not the most organized clean freak either

It's very important to make sure you don't try to run dormant soil....frustration upon frustration.

If you can keep it over 65 for two weeks, take the lid off and let it dry out. Stir it around and then re-wet it with warm water and a splash of Tea, cover for another week, use the electric blanket, insulate the floor......and you can do it.
