Is this leaf septoria? If so, what should I do?

If you were in a tent I'd say you have 10 days. Outside in November it may not get much riper if the weather's gotten colder.

The daytime temps have been quite warm actually. There have been several days we have been near record highs for the day with temps in the upper 70s, lower 80s. The nights are chilly with temps in the 40s and 50s.

What temps would affect the plants ripening? I just checked the 10 day forecast and the next 10 days the temps will be in the 60 except for the last 2 days....the last 2 days it will be in the upper 50s. Nighttime temps in the lower 40s to upper 30s.

Only sure fire way to tell is take a sample.
The problem with that is that I smoke so little that anything on the decent side will get me too wasted to give an accurate assessment. My husband smokes weed like most people smoke cigs so he is too high all the time to give an accurate assessment and my dad just came home yesterday from the hospital because he has pneumonia so I will not ask him to smoke anything until his pneumonia is gone. I did flash dry the bud I posted a pic of. Now I am waiting for a good candidate to come by so I can ask them to try it.

I also have a trichome question.......on some buds a lot of the bulb heads are missing on the trichomes. I guess due to the elements, the day they had to be moved onto the porch and dummies that when they see the plants the first thing they want to do is touch it. Will the buds with a lot of bulb heads missing on the trichomes not be as good as the others?

As long as the days are in the mid to upper 60s and the nights don't kill the plant, it will probably continue to ripen as long as it's alive (they eventually die on their own regardless of weather).

If the leaves are still green there's still hope

If everything gets you wasted and your husband's tolerance is too high to be able to notice, what difference does it make when you harvest?

The fewer trichome heads on a bud the lower the measurable THC percentage for that bud.

We don't plan on keeping all of it. Big complaint about dispensary weed around here is that it is not strong enough. I think it is because it is harvested before the THC starts to degrade to CBN.

Over the summer they had managed to get my asthma under control for a couple of months and I did start smoking more. Then I am not sure what happened but it took a u-turn and became unmanageable again. I am starting some injections Monday to help out with my asthma.....if they help I will probably start smoking more again. They say when you develop asthma as an adult it is harder to manage so I guess that is what I am dealing with.

Might be time to kick smoke. I personally strongly recommend @Airvape

It is everything about smoke except the actual smoke. (You still use flower, just in a small bowl instead of rolled in paper - paper itself is a huge irritant (well, is/was for me anyway)

I've been smoke free for 9 months now, my lungs haven't been this good in 20 years. I'm also not cleaning smoke off of everything in my house now.

Me too. I cannot smoke blunts (which back in the 90s sticking some Mexican brick weed in a blunt was one thing, but I never understood why people like to put good weed in a blunt). My husband comes home with pre-rolls where the paper is dipped in wax and I can't smoke those either, those are instant asthma attacks. I have a tiny bong that is the size of a kids juice box.....that is the main thing I smoke out of.

My wife loves her Airvape Legacy Pro!

Ripening is a chemical reaction. Light and temp are the factors that effect the reaction speed so it may slow ripening to a crawl.

Sounds like your husband would have an educated opinion, practically a professional evaluation! When a kid in his 20s says they like it, that's nice. When the daily smoking, Vietnam vets say they like, That means something. Put that skill set to use.

I smoke cigars and cigarettes but have always hated joints and blunts. Oil vapes feel like they are just coating my lungs. A good water bong is so much better. The dry vapes or edibles are the way to go if you are having lung issues. A good dry vape is worth the investment.

He says because he is already high it is hard to give an opinion cause he is feeling the effects of what he already smoked. I guess I need to catch him first thing in the morning.

I will hit a J if it is rolled really fat so you taste the weed more than the paper.......but I prefer my little bong over anything.

I haven't tried the dry vape yet.....I guess I need to. The high lasts too long for me with edibles. It would be okay if I didn't have much to do all day but that is never.

Some of the gang makes their own hash. They will use regular ice, dry ice or anything that will get the buds cold enough that the trichomes break off. To really have an effect on your plants I am thinking it would have to drop to well below 20F and somehow the plant was violently shaking while the temps were that low.

I am thinking that what you are noticing are trichomes that have not yet fully matured.

I hope not. It's almost the middle of November and my plants aren't ready yet. Whenever I tell someone that has some knowledge about growing that my outdoor plants aren't harvested yet they freak out thinking I don't know what I am doing (which I guess I don't, but that is beside the point). I got to explain the situation with the floodlight and if they are here show them the plants to allow them to see for themselves they are not ready or show pics.

I checked to see if they needed water yet.....they do not, which gives me hope they will be ready soon.

Next year I will make sure wherever the plants go that there is no way possible for any lights to reach them.

While I was truly thankful for a couple of my husband's friends coming by and moving my plants onto the porch for me the night of the freeze warning they were not gentle with my plants. As they were coming through the doorway there were branches scraping the doorway. I had a couple of small branches brake. Could the buds scraping the doorway cause the bulbs to burst?

When you make bubble or dry ice hash you are just getting the trics cold enough to jell. Ice water is close to 33 deg and enough to solidify the oils. That way when you snap them off they don't just spill into the water or onto plant matter. If a heavy hand burst the trics on a plant the oils spill onto the cola. Will increase the buds CBG/CBD at the expense of THC.

What causes them to eventually die on their own.....their age? If it is age I think I will be okay. I didn't start the seeds for these plants until 5/1/24 so they are currently a little over 6 months old.

Absolutely, but not burst, just get knocked off.

Yes, if the weather doesn't kill them.

And I have one more off topic question for the evening. When you build your own soil I know it needs to sit for 30 to 60 days. If stored properly, how long past the 30 to 60 days will it keep?
What Sativa said, but 30 days is too short for cooking most soil recipes. 60+ is advised and it's got to be kept warm to cook, not outside in the cold.
