Is my yield good?

Oh it’s this guy I remember you now.

Uhhh no. I realize you can find whatever you want on the net. Experience tends to tell the real story. It’s obvious from your postings on the forum that you’re a complete newbie grower though, and talk is cheap. Got some pics of some of your past harvests? Just the boring old average one gram per watt ones would do, but feel free to post some of your better ones too.
“Oh it’s this guy”. What’s that supposed to mean?? Like I said before. Watch the grow boss videos regarding yield and then come back with your same answer that all variables need to be perfect to acheave these weights. Grow boss doesn’t make these videos and charge $50 an hour to consult you if he didn’t know what he was talking about. What I said is just a repeat from what he says. My research also proves what he says is correct. For you too say it’s wrong means too me that YOU need to revise your growing techniques. 1gpw is easily achievable now a days.

I would like to see your electricity costs to show ANY truth to this....This is crazy talk plain and simple. If someone grows 300g under a 600w light how in the world are they losing money when a decent quarter oz at a dispensary would cost them $75? 300g at $75 per quarter oz =$3000 for dispensaries prices. $10 per gram.
Now, to run a 600w light cost may be $100???? So, tell me please, where is the loss?
600w costs $100 for 4 months of use? You must have a special bulb. My 1000w costs me roughly $1500 for 4 months worth of power. Should I be happpy with pulling .5 grams cause it will cover the cost to run the light? Or should I reach for all the costs in the grow such as air conditioner power. Fan power. Humidifier power. Dehumidifier power. This adds up quick haha.

Thanks mate so surprised I’ve made it this far 7 weeks to go
you wait till the last two weeks mate
love is a fickle beast but for these girls
Here Watch the grow boss. He explains so well, even a cave man can understand.
"He' NOT The Messiah , He is a very naughty boy" !!!! This Guy though. He may be very knowledgable ect but has the charisma of a gerbil. cant watch him .

I meant you’re that guy I wasted a half dozen posts on, running into a wall of argumentative false info -when all I was trying to do was help you understand how grow light wattages are compared, in direct response to your post asking about it. Meant to be for your own benefit not mine, No big deal -just a bit of a waste of my time. The ignore function works great on this forum though, once the entertainment value drops.

My 1000w costs me roughly $1500 for 4 months worth of power.

Does it?
You’re in Saskatchewan. SaskPower rates are currently around 14 cents per kilowatt hour. Therefore a 1000 watt light costs 14 cents per hour to run. Running in veg it costs around $75 per month. Flowering would cost around $50 per month. So in four months - it looks to me like the maximum you’d pay for that power would be around $300.

By all means, preach on. The more you speak, the more apparent it becomes you have no concept of several things. Simple math being one of those.

Well that’s not what my power bills says every month. 250 a month has been added since I got the light. How do I know. Wife let’s me know everyday. You can argue it all you want but the fact comes to my doorstep every month in the form of a bill.

Only reason you feel you wasted your time was because you did not explain it properly for me to understand. The next guy did exceptionally well at explaining what you could not. Don’t put it all on me hahaha.

Didn’t once say he was the messiah hahaha. Far from. I agree he his hard too watch due too his arrogance (kinda like some people on this forum hahahaha) but his information is amazingly accurate due to the evidence and science he shows along with it. After all, it’s just growing a plant hahaha

So your going to take the other guys word for it even though I’m actually living it hahahahaha. Ok....
Not at all, I just know what a 1000W costs to run. You would have to have a large operation for $1500 in electric costs for just lights thats all.

Might not be just the light. I do have a lot of other equipment running for climate control so that could definitely be the factor.

There are a hundred guys like this on YouTube. Good for general information but everything a grower does is very specific to their own personal situation. Not everyone can produce 1 gram/watt no matter how dialed in their grow is. Most of us have limited space available, and that throws your novice logic out the window. For example, I run a 400w LED in a 2x2 tent and get 6 ounces from a single plant roughly every two months. I'm extremely happy with my setup and my results. But according to you I'm failing because I'm not producing 14 ounces every time. I use every training technique I can to get the most from my final yield. Explain to me how I can get 14 ounces in this limited space and I'll give you some credit, but right now you sound like a newbie blowing smoke out his ass. Tell us what you have learned by doing, not what some guy on YouTube said.

I wasnt having a pop mate. it is a monty python quote to attempt to chill the temp a little here. seems differences of opinion has caused negative fallout. I have never really held on to the 1gpw concern for the same reason i would never follow the English football team, Dissapointment!!!!!. If your end results give you your own personal smoke that you get a real buzz from knowing its history then that is why we grow period. Anything " over" that can benefit someone else whether gifted or by financial arrangement is a huge binus. The saving for me on buying alone makes any maths i do fall in my favour. Taste , smell pleasure , pride , access to a great community , not searching for decent weed , not giving local shitbags money to carry on building their chav little crews and foremost the amazing hobby to research and improve on. How important is gpw really to most of us here. Commercial growers use business forums !
peace and love

Your getting the right yield for what your putting out. 14 oz would be like a 600+according to the math. 1000w gets 1.5lbs. 600 gets 800-1lb 400 gets 300-500g... this is what is said too aim for.

Yes, I am getting the right yield. Not because of your math but because I'm getting the most from the space available.

il be quids in if i hit 1gpw lol

600quantumwatts..?
what you reckon lol
il be happy with a few Zs off each for my first grow.. 1gpw would be 21.4 ounces from 3 plants. if i were to hit that it would be far above standard in my eyes lol

This is exactly how I feel about it. I could do many more things to get more grams per watt but to me that extra work is not worth it. To me it would take the enjoyment out of it. I am growing five strains right now and I hope all five do well and make it to harvest with a decent number. I always enjoy looking in the storage unit at the jars of cannabis, it always gives me the warm and fuzzies.

If you would have filled the space with an even canopy you would get close to a lb. little under maybe. Watch the grow boss videos and you will understand the math behind the 1gpw.

I watched the grow boss when I started. He is pretty pompous and I got sick of watching him misdiagnose plants. All new ever talks about is canopy size and light. All he says is led is crap and you will fail. I don't need his kind of negativity at any price.

The funny thing is there is more experience here, but you are pushing the grow boss of all people on us. Lol.

Look up real growers like Kevin Jodrey not a joke like the grow boss who never went past "bro" science. I'm sure you like the grow boss but it's time to graduate to better things. I'm not sure he even grows, he may just own a hydro shop.

If this came across as rude sounding, I apologize. It isn't ment to be. I just wouldn't trust the grow boss with my precious medicine and wanted to drive that home.

I totally agree with you guys but at some point in the grow you had to say yo yourself “this is what I should be getting each yield ”. That is YOUR standard. The commercial standards are 1gpw.

i agree. I don’t like the grow boss but I do like his science. I’m not pushing the grow boss. I’m simply saying he explains what I’m trying to say much better then I do/can. I follow other growers. Not just a one and done kinda guy haha. I don’t trust anyone with my medicine either but I had to learn somehow. Can’t just go make aspirin without finding out how first.
