Saturday mini-update: while we're on the subject of plants with different colored leaves, take a look at the Spring two next to each other in the afternoon sun:
The Tin Can Kush on GF (front) is much paler (and eating bottom leaves) than the nute-fed Red Dragon, and this is one week after the last top-dress with GeoFlora Veg.
It's not a color difference I'm fond of, so I'm pondering what to do. Top-dress more often? Add nitrogen (in the form of cal-mag)? I'm leaning more toward top-dressing more often, since that is working for
@Virgin Ground and
@Grand Daddy Black. It looks hungry generally so I'm not sure if just more nitrogen would be enough, but it's easy to do when I mix the water with the SNS 209. It isn't showing any other deficiencies though, so maybe some nitrogen is all it needs.
In other news, I top-dressed the three Candidas in flower with GeoFlora Bloom. "Why" I hear you ask? Two reasons: first is I'd like to see if it can replace the 4.5g/gallon of MC they have been on forever without showing any deficiencies, and second is because I'll be gone for 4 days in a couple of weeks - which means that someone will have to come in and water them. Much easier to just have them use plain water! Between now and then they will still be getting the MC while we wait for the GF to work its way into the substrate. I also put some straight potting soil on top to raise the level and act as a mulch.
Hope your weekend is going well, and I look forward to hearing from you!
