Happy Friday Scottay! I wonder if it is Friday on the whole planet right now.Heya Shedster.... I have a question. I've never used silica. Is it worth it?? I trust your opinion. Happy Friday buddy!!!
Hi Justin.I have a few lbs left of v1 and I’ll be sad when I’m out. The other versions don’t mix or grow the same for me.
Remo has been great for me but it’s 7 parts and like the others, the parts don’t run out at the same time and the cost compared to MC is so huge it will have you checking your math
For me, adding potassium based silica to MC gives me too much K and still not enough usable silica. It fries my leaves (pinholes and death) like Mr Sauga had mentioned- maybe his wasn’t bad, just pushed the K over the edge..
I had shares in the company, so it was in my best interest. My grows are normally indoors, so maybe not a fair comparison when the natural elements are keeping the trunk thick.I've been adding very expensive MSA per your suggestion so I look forward to your findings without any boost in Si above the minuscule amount in MC.
Happy Friday Scottay. I'm not sure it is, and MrS (who gave me the silica buzz to begin with) seems to be doing well without it. I never found that it increased the strength of my branches or made my plants resistant to pests or PM, so I'd be hard pressed to say it's a must-have.Heya Shedster.... I have a question. It's always Friday somewhere.Happy Friday Scottay! I wonder if it is Friday on the whole planet right now.
How sweet, like carving your initials in the bark of a tree.I leave them there as a reminder how easily a plant can turn at one watering, and be corrected at the next.
Oh that explains it! Thanks.I had shares in the company, so it was in my best interest.
I know there's trunk porn on the site with pics of folks' huge trunks, but I pulled 329g (11.6 ounces) off a plant with a trunk no bigger than 3/4" in diameter, so there's that.My grows are normally indoors, so maybe not a fair comparison when the natural elements are keeping the trunk thick.
Nice. I look forward to being kept informed of your grows! Its probably been my simplest grow as far as nutrient mixes goes.
I'll keep you informed as i have three inside starting off now.
Nicely done. I think mine are around 1.5 - 1.75 inches. I don't expect them to get much wider than that. So, based off your numbers, I should be pulling off around 22 ounces per plant! What caused the lean on yours?I know there's trunk porn on the site with pics of folks' huge trunks, but I pulled 329g (11.6 ounces) off a plant with a trunk no bigger than 3/4" in diameter, so there's that.
Oh yes, I absolutely meant that trunk size correlates to harvest weight. So, based off your numbers, I should be pulling off around 22 ounces per plant!
No idea, prevailing westerlies? It was 2 years and a few plants ago. What caused the lean on yours?
great haul!Happy Friday Scottay. I'm not sure it is, and MrS (who gave me the silica buzz to begin with) seems to be doing well without it. I never found that it increased the strength of my branches or made my plants resistant to pests or PM, so I'd be hard pressed to say it's a must-have.

It is!Jealous because mine is smaller? That's definitely a unique take!
heheIt's always Friday somewhere.
Thanks Marcus!great haul!
I'm sure I have you beat unfortunately. It is!
I was somewhat new to the game when I grew her. Despite being puny she was such a pretty plant! I wondered at the time it was so small that I might have the record-setting "healthy" plant.
hehe
It's a Professor sighting! kind sir.Hey Shed
You're welcome brotherThanks Marcus!

plants are looking great Shed almost time to chop by the looks of thingsWell there's no way I'm going to bump this page five times, so I'll just drop the Tuesday update here and let it get orphaned. :annie:
Let's take a look at what's growing on in my backyard at the moment. Here are the Summer grow pair — CapJunky and Purple Ghost Candy — on flip day 53:
And the closeups, starting with the PGC:
And like Otter's tribute to @Amy Gardner a few days ago I thought I'd do one of my own:
Here's the CJ:
Every time I tie it up it finds another way to bend, so this might be a good flopper come harvest time!
I pulled out the scope to have a look at the trichs even though we're weeks away from harvest, because I know folks like trichome pics, so here are couple of the PGC:
And the CJ:
The PGC is further ahead than the CJ, which suits me just fine. I don't need to have them both come down at the same time.
Last is The Wizard auto on day 66 above ground:
This one is still pushing out some new pistils so it's got plenty of time left to bulk up.
That's it from me, and thanks for stopping by. I hope you and those you love are all doing well, and your plants are going gangbusters!
