That DV sure is a good looking plant..might have to park her
next to a wall if she keeps leaning like that!

And I had planned to remain mum about the lean! See what trying to be nice gets ya'?It's really leaning due to the weight of the flowers now, not because Grand Daddy Black sat on it or anything!
You can cut off the top, peel off the bottom few rows of leaves, and stick it in water and in about a week you'll have a rooted pineapple plant.Hey Shed! Thought I drop by and say
A couple of question. How did you get the pineapple plants? I here people just cut the top off of a store bought pineapple and stick it in a pot. Also what do you mean by “their time to shine”? Does it take 5 years until they are ready to bear fruit?
They look good. Nice roots!
Does it smell like victory?
Thanks Verbalist! Those pistils are dark red and I'm thinking the sun does that to them. I can't remember a harvest with white pistils anywhere on the plant. That doug’s Varin has very interesting shape, although the nugs are looking JUICY!
Is it just the light/sun or or whether some of the pistils are dark red?
No good deed goes unpunished. And I had planned to remain mum about the lean! See what trying to be nice gets ya'?
Thanks! I'm hoping the ski lift spreads the beauty around.Anyway, Shed, you've got some beautiful buds growing on the side of that ski slope.
Thank you sb! I don't harvest by pistil color, or really trichome color either. I'm waiting for the plant to stop drinking to tell me when to chop. Yesterday it got 2 gallons so I'll see when it needs water again. It has been every other day, so if it's dry tomorrow morning then we've got some time yet.Looking Good , how many more days you think ? Alot of RED in there as was said .
Thanks Waiheesohai! I twist the top off which creates a lot less damage to the bottom and helps it root faster after peeling away the lowers and slicing through the point until I see the brown root nodes. I've also rooted a lot of slips and suckers just by sticking them in damp soil. All from one pineapple "mother"!You can cut off the top, peel off the bottom few rows of leaves, and stick it in water and in about a week you'll have a rooted pineapple plant.
Expect when the scissor finger itchies for lil test twigThanks Verbalist! Those pistils are dark red and I'm thinking the sun does that to them. I can't remember a harvest with white pistils anywhere on the plant.
I very rarely take testers off the plants, and only occasionally does anyone get a bit of the stuff that comes off accidentally during trimming. I have a lot of varieties in jars so no one ever seems desperate for a bit of whatever is coming down at the moment.Expect when the scissor finger itchies for lil test twig
Just meant the pistils usually appears more orange than red, and thought thats hella cool looking nugs!
Thanks Bode! We use the Candida CBD oil all the time. I take it sublingually every morning and my wife takes three capsules a day. We also have a separate bottle of CBD-only massage oil!Good looking bushes for the next flower session! Do you use the candida much? I grew an ACDC cross last year and have about 3/4 left, and a quart of cbd oil. Not using it so much. I've wanted to try the Jack Herer. Hear good things about it. Good luck with the seed making again. Happy Smokin'
FTFY.And I'd have to go back and see what color my pistils usually are. I don't really pay that close attention to them once they start to get old!
Yes. Yes you did.FTFY.
I hope it keeps fattening up while I wait...might as well get a lot of it since we don't have a clue as to what to expect! For weed you don't *quite* know exactly what it is those buds look dense and frosty and almost evil with some of those devil red hairs. Heavy looking.
I was always a lousy weight-guesser and gave up weighing mine at harvest a few years ago, but I do know that everything that gets harvested will be stored in turkey bags (RH be damned) and used for oil eventually! Then I won't have to flower out another one for a couple of years. That Candida - I mean, do you even ever bother with yield guessing? That plant is gigantic and the canopy is ridiculous. It's gonna look like that Tropicana Banana plant you grew or so, eh? Just TONS of giant buds. I can't wait to watch this.
Crazy. How do you decide which to take off in that scenario? The smallest, most underdeveloped, likely lowest branches first?Yes. Yes you did.

And I'm pretty sure I will need to take off a few whole branches before I flower just because of how unwieldy it will be by flip day 30.
Good question! Everything is at the top at this point so I would think I would do it by where it comes out in the canopy. That way I can make some room up there. On the plus side, you'll get to see it when I do it.Crazy. How do you decide which to take off in that scenario? The smallest, most underdeveloped, likely lowest branches first?
Awesome. Btw - having now trimmed that AB, I will tell you I STILL wasn't aggressive enough with potential/probable flarf removal. Probably an ounce of little buds too small to trim but I'll smoke, and maybe a half an ounce of pure flarf. That's WAY too much for what I want, at least from one little plant in a 3x3. I bet you don't get an ounce and a half of flarf from that whole flowering plant. It's much like the Hulkberry/Slurricane/GTH grow in the flarf regard. I thought I had mitigated it more than that. Next time (and with the current plants) I'm going for fewer tops but a bigger plant - more like how West trains (obviously not in that league, but using that model sort of). Seems every time I dilute the plant into this many sites (when it's this small of a plant) I come out with a lot of flarf. Whereas I bet this same plant twice as big would not have the problem nearly as much. I don't know. I think I need to be more aggressive still on removal and stop with my sentimentality.Good question! The bigger the pot the more tops it can support (assuming you veg long enough to fill it with roots of course), so think of that as the first constrictor.Awesome. To keep this thread out of trouble can you delete that video and post it here instead?OH shit >>
That Candida mother is big. There’s got to be easily a couple hundred cuts on her and she’d still be standing full. Here are the two mother plants:
I see someone is going to need a bigger barn soon not to even mention the pot.As the nights get warmer, these two will get flipped in the shed.
