InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Lots of growers do a heavy defol just before flipping. And a few days would have been 47 days ago now anyway! 10 days seems long for what?
sounds like i completely missed the ball i thought u were complaining about there be no stretch 10 days after flip ...

That ladybug is so neato!

I just came to tell you that I checked my one plant Peggy at 42 days and took her the next day because she was all ready done, cloudy with amber. I wouldn’t worry, the buds have always looked unique to me! So eye catching and different in the best way! I think PW nailed it with genetics!

That AK looks awesome! Nice work.

Never grown that strain, but have grown several that really put on much of their bud weight in the last week or so.

Beautiful work on getting that many tops! Looking forward to the smoke report, though, I know that's a ways off. Never rush the cure...

Evening everyone! Had workers here all day and had to keep an eye on them because there were very interested in my plants! They were happy at the end of the day though when I sent them all home with a bit of Blueberry. :thumb:

I wanted to update y'all on the shed transition we were talking about before. Here's a peek:
Outside:
Inside:

Had more of this stuff laying around so I cut it to shape and used push pins to hold it in place (note @TheMadDabber...cheap duct tape!):

There's light coming from around the edge because the door's open.

And here is the AK before lights out:
I noticed that there is some serious fade going on with the lower fans, so I took out the loupe and I'm seeing amber on the sugar leaves. What? These aren't big enough to take down already, are they? It's less than 7 weeks. Did I screw up?

Here is the mutant Haze Xtreme tonight:
And for @Pterostychus...friend or foe? On a lemon tree leaf:

I'll try to get a loupe shot of the AK trichomes tomorrow but I might not have time since the workers are coming back to finish and I have watering to do. Stay tuned!

Jesus Christ it looks like the AK is turning into 2 of them. I'm building a underground shelter, you guys do whatever you want.

I think your awsome lollipop job could be what reduced the stretch. In my experience when you get that gorgeous table top effect with 40+ even tops they stay pretty uniform and dont stretch as crazy competing for light as they are already getting more even coverage...... That or theres so many heads it doesnt have the energy to stretch lol.
Also that unintentional short day could be responsible for the early amber, coulda jump started her to the finish line!
They all look great anyhow. Your buetiful pics are making waiting for my own beans to pop a little easier and for that i thank you!:goodjob::peace:

Yeah - a lot can happen in the last 2 weeks eh!
Hey Shed - pleas link me to your topical oil tutorial that’s in here somewhere. I’ve just been searching and canna find it right now... :Namaste:
Canna find it!
I've done recipes with greater and less detail, but here's one. Let me know if you need more info because I did a complete write up recently in a PM to BT which I can copy and paste here (including spreadsheet instructions). I wish we had the blogs back!

Thanks newty! I'm going to stop looking for a while and pretend I didn't see amber .

Smoke report will definitely be a while...at least 3 weeks after the chop. I'm hoping for a late bulking on this one!

LOL!
Thanks for stopping by Norcali! Glad you like the AK :).

I'd never heard that about lollipop curtailing stretch. All of you experience photo lollipoppers recount your experiences here please. That's an interesting hypothesis! Not sure the short day caused the amber or what, but I hope it doesn't spread too fast ;).
Girl looks great Shed. Don't be in a rush to finish her. She will keep bulking if you let her.
From your lips to god's ears :thumb:
Never mind me. I'm just here for the AK porn.
I bet you are:cool:.

I think it may just come down to a genetic thing there shedster.... leaf to calyx ratio normally is. I dont think it's anything on your part. Shes super frosty and you never know with some plants they want to push hard before they finish up. Fingers crossed for ya that shes that type o gal...

Apologies for my absence . I bolted early from work yesterday in an attempt to see some of my son's (possibly but luckily now not) last HS baseball game of the year. Time to rail against LA traffic (especially Friday afternoon ugh) because by the time I got down there all I could do was pick him up back at school where the bus dropped him off afater the game. Feh.

The turf guys finished yesterday morning so today it was time to wash all the dust and dirt off the outdoor furniture and then wash all the dust and dirt off the courtyard and down the drain. And the patio as well and all the plants outside. Everything had a thick layer of dust on it.

After that was done, it was time to do a bit of trimming on Sour G and Gold Leaf, which were getting really dense. I took a different approach to each plant as you'll see below.

Starting with the Gold Leaf. I topped, thinned, and supercropped. Here is the before and after:

Here is what came off:

Oh yeah, and these two as well.

I'm not sure I need any Gold Leaf clones, but what the heck. It's good practice.

Next up, the Sour G from @The rooster Farms. This one was more supercropping and topping and less thinning. Here is the before and after:

I decided to leave more of the undergrowth on it in case the clones I took don't survive and I need places to take more. Otherwise it would have looked more like the Gold Leaf when it was done. Except I supercropped almost every outside branch.

Here is what came off:

I have a trimming technique when I supercrop that I thought I would share. After I bend them over, I take all of the fan leaves on the top side and all of the shoots on the underside. Not all that novel but thought I'd mention it.

And now that I've got 4 cuttings, I'm back to the damn clone box

The sun didn't come out until about 1pm so until then, the AK was under the Mars 300 (which I moved back in the shed). Then tonight we went to dinner, and so I put the AK back under the light, set it to go off at 8:30, and then when we got home, I unhooked the Mars by the light of my lock screen on the floor outside the oval of dark, and moved it back to the bike shed where I then moved the Auto M and the HazeX. Jesus the things I do for these plants :green_heart:.

I hope you all had a sunny spring-like Saturday, and I am now going to try to catch up on the 23 of your journals with unread posts!
:Namaste:

Hopefully LA driving is not like driving in Detroit. Everyone in the D has their poker face on. Mean mugging each other while stuck in stop and go traffic. All the while your thinking everyone is packing heat, weather they are legal or not. Makes me want to hurry home to the boondocks ;) I grew up out that way. I rarely go back now

Sorry about your sons game shed. Not much you can do but try your best... still cool that you wanted to make it happen. It was always a treat when my dad made it to games.

Hope you guys have an awesome mothers day!

Ps your crop and trim sounds great! Love the idea of leaving fans when you can.

I don't worry about road rage here any more (must be the legal weed ;)), not even a lot of honking going on. Just loads of frustrating time wasted.

Thanks Them, to your missus too. Hope you're all having a great time.!

Sunday shorty update because it's frickin' RAINING what?

AK, HazeX, and AutoM are in the shed where I put the Mars again. Now I'm moving plants and lights. Before the rain came I did get a shot of the AK for y'all, or people would be going through withdrawal :).

Here is it on flip day 49. 7 weeks today.

The outside colas seem to be heaviest and stacked the best for some reason.

On another note, I've started trying to clone everything lately. I broke this off a plant about 6 weeks ago and just stuck in soil and put a baggie on top. I'd call this one a success (Glory Bush - Tibouchina urvilleana) :

This one I cut about a month ago and also just stuck it in soil. I might have split the stem at the bottom first but can't remember. Not sure if it's really alive or just taking a while to look dead so the baggie is still on (non-fruiting oilve):

And this one I took this morning off one of my potted lemon trees. This one I scraped the lower stem, split it, and put clonex gel on it.

That's it from here. The kids are still asleep so Mother's Day brunch awaits their awakening. I hope you are all having a great Sunday and if it's Mother's Day where you are, HMD! Celebrate your mothers, still with us or not, and yourselves if you are one :).
