Apologies for my absence
. I bolted early from work yesterday in an attempt to see some of my son's (possibly but luckily now not) last HS baseball game of the year. Time to rail against LA traffic (especially Friday afternoon ugh) because by the time I got down there all I could do was pick him up back at school where the bus dropped him off afater the game. Feh.
The turf guys finished yesterday morning so today it was time to wash all the dust and dirt off the outdoor furniture and then wash all the dust and dirt off the courtyard and down the drain. And the patio as well and all the plants outside. Everything had a thick layer of dust on it.
After that was done, it was time to do a bit of trimming on Sour G and Gold Leaf, which were getting really dense. I took a different approach to each plant as you'll see below.
Starting with the Gold Leaf. I topped, thinned, and supercropped. Here is the before and after:
Here is what came off:
Oh yeah, and these two as well.
I'm not sure I need any Gold Leaf clones, but what the heck. It's good practice.
Next up, the Sour G from
@The rooster Farms. This one was more supercropping and topping and less thinning. Here is the before and after:
I decided to leave more of the undergrowth on it in case the clones I took don't survive and I need places to take more. Otherwise it would have looked more like the Gold Leaf when it was done. Except I supercropped almost every outside branch.
Here is what came off:
I have a trimming technique when I supercrop that I thought I would share. After I bend them over, I take all of the fan leaves on the top side and all of the shoots on the underside. Not all that novel but thought I'd mention it.
And now that I've got 4 cuttings, I'm back to the damn clone box
The sun didn't come out until about 1pm so until then, the AK was under the Mars 300 (which I moved back in the shed). Then tonight we went to dinner, and so I put the AK back under the light, set it to go off at 8:30, and then when we got home, I unhooked the Mars by the light of my lock screen on the floor outside the oval of dark, and moved it back to the bike shed where I then moved the Auto M and the HazeX. Jesus the things I do for these plants
.
I hope you all had a sunny spring-like Saturday, and I am now going to try to catch up on the 23 of your journals with unread posts!
