InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Thanks Them! Say hi to Rider for us and stay clear of his needles ;).

Covering the door from the outside is the easiest but I doubt my wife will go for that. So I have to figure a way to be able to seal it and close the door behind me. When I had a darkroom in my kitchen in NY I used blackout shades and a boatload of velcro!
In the words of a very wise friend.... I have 3 words words for you, duct and tape!

So I am growing in the bathroom as you may or may not know? Lol. Well I enclosed the tub space for the same reason. So maybe build a dark space within the shed using like 95% of the available space. Which is to say a few inches in from the door opening put up overlapping panda paper. So you have the shed door. Then the panda.

Also if I may suggest 2 cheap duct booster fans for exhaust. You know what works great for a light proof vent?!?! Lmao. So you grab some 90° aluminum......

That's a joke. But if you can keep it dark and lots of air moving, you're gonna have a heck of a bloom season son!!!!

Thanks Them! I've heard something about a tub in relation to your grow but you're too new here for me to bother following ;).

No way I can build a room in the shed as it's used for so many other things besides growing, and I can't use duct tape for any of it as it needs to be opened and sealed twice a day. Gonna be velcro or push-pins!

Do you have a tutorial on the 90º aluminum...can't picture it .

I'm hoping there is enough air in there that recirculating it for 12 hours will be okay with the two fans on.

Have a great family vacay!

Oops you meant normal shed doh! You'll make due. I have faith in your ingenuity. Ps I tape my flap shut every night.... just sayin!

Geeze its busy everywhere!!!

He called us friends.... oh wait he meant van.. .

Check out grandpa tokins lil thread. He uses an everclear wash. Then you just mix with your vape juice add some heat and boom.

I prefer using wax. But it should work.

The other solution is to take your wax/shatter and dilute it with natural terpenes. Same thing add heat. mix. And add to the cartridge.
Why thank you The Mad Dabber.

Evening everyone! Had workers here all day and had to keep an eye on them because there were very interested in my plants! They were happy at the end of the day though when I sent them all home with a bit of Blueberry. :thumb:

I wanted to update y'all on the shed transition we were talking about before. Here's a peek:
Outside:
Inside:

Had more of this stuff laying around so I cut it to shape and used push pins to hold it in place (note @TheMadDabber...cheap duct tape!):

There's light coming from around the edge because the door's open.

And here is the AK before lights out:
I noticed that there is some serious fade going on with the lower fans, so I took out the loupe and I'm seeing amber on the sugar leaves. What? These aren't big enough to take down already, are they? It's less than 7 weeks. Did I screw up?

Here is the mutant Haze Xtreme tonight:
And for @Pterostychus...friend or foe? On a lemon tree leaf:

I'll try to get a loupe shot of the AK trichomes tomorrow but I might not have time since the workers are coming back to finish and I have watering to do. Stay tuned!

I don’t think lower fade on a few leaves this late in flower (6ish weeks?) is tooo big of an issue. Others more experienced will chime in I know. But I’ll put it out there and say it just means it’s charging towards the finish. Maybe it could take some slightly heavier Cal Mag (and other) feeds now? Amber ebbed and flower on my sugar leaves before getting serious anywhere else - every plant is different tho..,

Maybe I’m wrong - if I am, I’ll learn something :thumb:

I've mixed up the nutes for tomorrow morning already but if you think it could use some more cal/mag that's easy enough. Is there something about late flower that calls for that? I could not dilute it with an extra ½ gallon of water and that would bump everything, but without any runoff. Runoff has been high so that's why I've been diluting.

Well I don’t use the kind of nutes you do, and know sweet nothing about them. So maybe wait until other minds contribute... just flower fade can sometimes be Mag (there is apparently a high demand for it late in flower - and cal all through). But I really shouldn’t say anything about your plants without seeing the fade you mention... was there a pic... lemme check

Not bothered by the fade all that much actually, more by the amount of amber I'm seeing. The fade just made me think to check with the loupe.

Folks keep telling me not to worry about amber on sugarleaves...

Hey... did you ever do this?
Think I'm going to run 2 AK-47s on my next grow, LST both in the same type pot, and split-stem one 7 days before predicted chop. Then I'll loupe them both and see if I can tell a difference.

I'm don't pay attention to amber on sugar leaves usually, but sugar leaves are all there are still!

Never did the stem splitting as I never ran two of the same plant again. The guy who did the stem split said he didn't notice a difference as I recall. Pulled that out the vault, didn't ya!

Daughter's in for the weekend and have to get her from the airport. G'night all. With any luck, trich porn tomorrow!

The trichomes on the fan leaves and sugar leaves always amber up first. Don't use them as a gauge for being complete.....use the trichomes on the buds. I have seen ambers on fan leaves while the buds were completely clear.

I completely agree Van! The problem I'm having here is that there aren't any calyxes that I can see on these colas. Visually it seems to be all sugar leaves, hence the amber problem.

The sun is completely hidden today so my pics aren't very good, but let me show you what I'm talking about. I managed to get some shots of the trichomes on the sugars that are closest to the center and those are clear to cloudy. But take a look and tell me if you see true buds in there (pardon all the bits and hair, the workers blew all sorts of shit around when they took a leaf blower to the courtyard).

And one plant shot. You can see the start of fading leaves:

Thanks for taking a look all. And thanks @Pterostychus for the quick bug ID! Haven't seen any ladybugs lately but this could be the start :).
