In The Lab

Bulk size is 4 kits. Amendment is measured at 1.5lbs per kit, I found that is approximately
2 1/4 cups.

2 1/4 cups = 1.5lbs of Amendment

Your bulk amendment should have a total of 6lbs of Amendment. I divide it up and keep in zip loc bags for next soil mix.

Some separate(I think Shiggs) by spreading out and then dividing...there are several ingredients that make up the Amendments and Recharge that are quite different in size from each other. You want to make sure you have some of each in each of your divisions..

:Namaste:

Thanks DLT and Ziggs! :passitleft:

Oh I thought I read somewhere it would keep better in the Fridge
So glad I mentioned that. Will bring down stairs to my Metal storage cabinet
in grow room, Dark Cool Temp controlled environment

when DeStress is mixed and ready to spray, it can keep in the fridge for up to a week. No need to treat the raw product this way.

The key to these things is water....or rather the lack of water in the product. Once you add water, things begin to come to life. BTW, it was rather tricky to make the "new" Transplant and GE, due to Water of Hydration (look it up) when we added magnesium. It took a while and some creative chemistry at the lab, but both products now have enough magnesium in them to where all but a couple strains will need more.

OK Since I am really anal about Details and trying to pay attention to the products
I just noticed (getting ready to Mix & cook) My original Kit amendments look much
darker than the recently received Bulk Kit

Original Kit AMENDMENTS at top of photo, I divided the Re-Charge into 6 equal parts
and they are now in the cups The 1st run amendment is the remainder after being divided by 2

Probably nothing to be concerned with but since we want this to be all on tarket
I thought I should point it out

No problem on the color. The old stuff has probably taken on a bit of moisture so that will darken it a bit. Also, the raw materials used to make the amendment vary in color from batch to batch, but rest assured, they are identical.

With all the anxiety and rumors going around the last few days we covered all our bases and checked with the lab AND Promix folks...no changes to their products or mine.

The posted journal may not be, but believe Me MY notes will. :thumb:

I'm a note taker too!

I keep a spiral notebook similar to you on new genetics, but always keep a one page info sheet on all my plants, that I made in a spreadsheet program. One page tells all the important info on what the plants received and when. I can compare past grows quickly and see common patterns when thinks go right or wrong. Sorry the photo chopped off the right side of the sheet.

I don't bother with recording the temps and RH anymore, as they are fairly constant.

That is very cool DL! Love spreadsheets!

Thanks guys, Nice to see how the others keep it together

I like the spread sheet also, I my move ho that process soon.
With this New (New to me) kit process I don't have nearly the amount
of detail I once included.

NO More PH or PPM readings (One for the in water reading, One for the out Water readings)
Only a couple products to keep records on as opposed to the 14 or so additives I was using
at different times PREVIOUSLY.

I now spend most of my time decorating the tent and relaxing with the girls :)

Black Cherry Float is the one I'm going to do first. Also have Black Harley (CBD strain) and another one.

Woo Hoo :) super excited to have you running some of my gear :)

For those that are curious:
Black Cherry Float= Black Cherry Soda (reversed female to male) x Ogiesel (SFV OG x (Mass super skunk x chemdog))
Black Harley = Black Cherry Soda (reversed female to male) x Harlequin (high CBD:low THC strain)

The non mentioned one:
Black and Tange= Black Cherry Soda (reversed female to male) x Tangie

Thank you Doc for providing the opportunity to exhibit some of my crosses!

So far I've had 2 other growers run the cherry float and very positive results. (one indoor under LED and one outdoor) Slightly indica dom in terms of growth rate, flavor seems to be a cross of skunky and berry, and trichome production amazing. I

The Black Harley you will be the first to run...

Black and Tange I have had 2 growers run, one outdoor and once in rockwool cubes indoor. Very fruity berry flavor, almost like a dreamcicle, very sativa dom growth structure, branching, good node distance, loves to be topped and trained. Have had a few compliments on this one.

Cant wait to see these genetics in your perfected soil and environment....I know we will be in for somethings special :)

That Black and Tangie sounds very pleasant. :passitleft:

Although I haven't grown it myself (due to space and too many genetics still on hand) I have sampled the fruits of someone elses labor. Its definitely something else in terms of taste. The phenotypes exhibited a mostly orange/berry flavor, but there were 2 others that exhibited a sweet muffin dough flavor, and 1 that also tasted like mint cookies. Very interesting to say the least. The majority though tasted like a orange creamsicle. Definitely a more sativa type effect, awake and uplifting and very pleasant :) The black cherry soda I have had for about 3-4 years now and its one of my top cultivars which is why I chose to use it for the 1st seed project.
