I'll donate some fresh seeds to you guys for the simultaneous grow if interested. Remove one more variable. A good OG strain that flourishes in the kit.
Also, I too have dozens of fabric pots I'm weening off of. Still using the 7's and 10's as finishing pots for the foreseeable future, but have done away with all the smaller ones and use plastic exclusively in veg now for my last 5 runs.
My results have gotten better each run.

Gazoo, good call! I thought the same thing when you posted the group thing. I wondered if the nice little grow between you and Doc would get all muddied up with everyone asking and posting their own plant questions. I agree, keep it between you and Doc. For those of us that want to follow or grow along both of you... we can do that, but I vote to keep the pics and questions on this to yours and Docs plants.
May I second that? I have a burgeoning hope that the resulting thread might be something that could be configured into a manual, if it's not already looking like one by the finish. It occurs to me that with a little finessing at the end we could have a real jewel.

All good Gazoo, I'm doing pretty good as it is lol. I just started documenting a test grow for a breeder. I have to get one more grow in before the big Jamaica trip.
I have a couple brand new mars lights if anyone wants, but I'm not paying shipping. It cost me $130 to give 3 lights away to a couple members. I've never opened them up, still sealed, pro series, 1 epistar and 1 Cree.

Just to make sure we don't have a cluttered up journal let's just you and me post pics. Alert me two or three days before you start your seeds and I'll make a post and show exactly what I'm doing to germinate, how and when to drench, etc.
I'll be growing some of Icemud's new strains. Black Cherry something or other.....I'll post it all when the time comes.
In the meantime, is your soil nice and warm? Do you have enough products?

I will also be starting a new batch of soil and probably start the journal then (a couple days)
looking over my notes I have plenty of details to include so should be able to keep the
journal active as I post all the specifics, Grow environment, Products Used, Accessory's
and Special notes about previous issues and how they were corrected.
Doc....Is it Black Cherry Punch? If so....two of my next four are also those...from Neiko!....along with two Star Pupils.

I'll be mixing up a new batch of soil soon and have bilk size amendment. I know I need to try to get an even amount of the different sized "rocks" but am not sure how much to use? Is it 1/2 or is there a specific weight? Thanks!
Bulk size is 4 kits. Amendment is measured at 1.5lbs per kit, I found that is approximately
2 1/4 cups.
2 1/4 cups = 1.5lbs of Amendment
Your bulk amendment should have a total of 6lbs of Amendment. I divide it up and keep in zip loc bags for next soil mix.
Some separate(I think Shiggs) by spreading out and then dividing...there are several ingredients that make up the Amendments and Recharge that are quite different in size from each other. You want to make sure you have some of each in each of your divisions..

OK Since I am really anal about Details and trying to pay attention to the products
I just noticed (getting ready to Mix & cook) My original Kit amendments look much
darker than the recently received Bulk Kit
Original Kit AMENDMENTS at top of photo, I divided the Re-Charge into 6 equal parts
and they are now in the cups The 1st run amendment is the remainder after being divided by 2
Probably nothing to be concerned with but since we want this to be all on tarket
I thought I should point it out

If I remember correctly, somewhere Doc stated that you use an 1/8th a cup of recharge and about a full Solo cup of EWC. If that's correct it would be easy to simply buy an 1/8th cup measuring scoop.
