Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spectrum

Re: Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spect

I've thought about trying out TLO and using cover crops that would be symbiotic with cannabis, but still have to research it a lot. I know there are certain companion plants that actually put Nitrogen back into the soil and such, would be awesome to have a living soil pot that needs nothing but water :)

Me too Ice, been thinking about it for a while specially in the outdoor pots. Check out Build a Soil's Clover Cover Crop Blend. Going to need to put some wigglers in there too hehehe!

The ground covers that worked the best were green and red......

Now I know what to do with those old rolls of Christmas wrapping paper

I have a cousin who sells E/O. I can ask her some questions about which oils to use for certain ailments, if you would like. I just need to know whats ailing you, or whoever will be using said oil mix.

Hey Canna Montana! like the screen name by the way! haha :)

I very much appreciate the offer to ask your cousin, however I'm not quite ready to indulge into the research just yet :) I would rather get my knowledge base up, and then ask questions so that I can understand the reasoning for the answers provided :) just the way my little brain works :) haha

I definitely will keep that in mind though if I run into questions about E/O's. I would just hate to ask questions and waste someones time if I can resource the information online myself :) I certainly appreciate the offer though :) The more I read into it, I see more evidence of how certain E/O's can really influence the body. I also wonder if this is why certain strains are more favorable to people than others for their ailments, not only because the cannabinoids, but also because of the terpenes :) I think I am going to get really deep into this soon :)

I thank you for the reminder... I've been wanting to source some earthworms locally to put into my big soil bin and totally forgot until you said something :) appreciate that :) I definitely think that worms would be an excellent addition as one of the excretions that they provide is calcium carbonate :)

Haha :) I was thinking about that too, but thinking of colored construction paper :) Now I don't know how much it will influence the grow I have going because the test was done with cotton plants in sunlight, and since we have cannabis plants in artificial light, I'm not sure if the results will be as extreme, but it does give me some ideas too that it might slightly influence terpenes :)

Update time :)

Well the flowering tent (still in veg) is getting very close to getting flipped. The topping/pruning I did about 5 days ago now is showing that all the plants have recovered and are showing new leaf and stem growth which is great to see, and means I am about ready to flip them to the 12/12 :) I am waiting on a new shipment from budmaster which will include a surprise to show everyone, plus the replacement fan for the one that went out on the COB. I will wait until I receive this to replace the fan, and then flip to flowering :) want to make sure that the ladies are getting their full light needed to max out on the early stages of flowering :) I should be getting the package any day so hopefully over the weekend if I get it, I will be able to do the swap and get the ladies into flowering. Other than that I gave the girls a nice 4 cups of water plus some botanicare organic nutrients and some humboldt equilibrium as now they are getting pretty thirsty every few days, and I'm lucky I checked on them today as the harlequin was wilted and needed water bad. After feeding her it only took a few hours for her to perk back up :)

The veg/seed project tent is getting started nicely and even though a few plants reacted to my soil being a little too hot, they calmed down and now are growing very healthy :) I haven't given them any water since the transplant as they are still developing roots and the pots still have a decent amount of water for them to use up before getting another feeding :) I'm not sure how long I will veg these girls because they will be seeded so most likely I will let them go about 3 more weeks and most likely flip them to flowering as well, and start the treatments of CS on the black cherry soda :) I am also only running the 2 budmaster GOD panels at 1/2 power right now, since the plants are young and don't need full intensity at this time. At only about 90w each panel at 1/2 power, they are still amazingly bright and are flooding the girls with lovely blurple light :)

The 3rd tent/mother tent is also looking nicely, and will just continue to grow and develop as my other 2 tents are currently in use. I still may use this tent to do my seed project in, instead of the other one to put a room between the ones that will be getting pollenated, however I still have to determine if that is what I will be doing :) Either way it will be the home of either my mothers or the seed project. I'm still waiting on 1 more clone to root, the tangie pheno 6 as only 1 of the earlier cut clones rooted, so I took a few more when I did my defoliation and topping in my main tent :) Also these girls have not received any water since the transplant as they still have a decent amount of moisture to use :)

Re: Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spect

I applaud you for getting my mind working Ice! I'm seriously looking at getting some outdoor pots rocking.

Of course they'll be blue berries and cherry tomatoes. But what a great way to try a new system!

Wow talk about timing. What am unbelievable update! Definitely time to flip brother Ice! Those babies are begging for flower cycle. Can't wait to see the results!

Very clean tents, I like how you work it's close to what was called 5 S's by Toyota and your results show it as well. I'm still amazed at how well you yield with low watts. Those lights are very dialed.

Cheers

I wanted to tell you guys about the red wiggler indoor composters we bought. It's a great way of using old food scraps to make worm castings. We currently have around 1,500 worms in our composter. It's so cool! It even collects "worm tea" in the bottom and has a spigot to get the liquid out. It's pretty odorless too, so the house doesn't smell like garbage.

Also want to give you props for the lively plants you are raising. Solid work bud!

One more thing, will you keep us up to date on the E/O research you do?

Update time!!!!!

So today makes day 2 of flowering (from the flip) !!!!!!

I was hoping to get my shipment over the weekend but it didn't arrive yet so I decided to just get on with flowering before my girls get too big, so sunday may 1st was the first day of flowering after 12 hours of rest :) The Gas lantern routine worked perfectly in veg, and the girls have perfect stretch without being too lanky and are extremely happy and healthy :) another successful GLR for veg :) So I put my lights on a 12/12 schedule, nothing fancy this grow, no odd light schedules, just the standard 12/12 :)

The girls were getting a bit thirsty so I gave them their last feeding of veg mix today and the next watering will be geared towards flowering :)

Here are todays pics of the flowering tent :)

Once again you amaze me with you low wattage LED grow. I have been shown the GLM before but with my setup I have to run 9p to 9a, so those 5 off one on, ect would not be feasible. Nevertheless, you seem quite dialed in your tent. I'll miss my 4 months off in the summer but a vacation will be nice.

Cheers

Re: Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spect

Hi guys, I want to consult about which budmaster lights to buy.
So I'm planning to grow in a 2X2X5 tent and I want recommended about the budmaster G.O.D lights. My questions are - should I use the G.O.D light or somthing else, any why?
If G.O.D it is, would one light of G.O.D 1 will be enough or should I buy 2 of those? Or should I buy the G.O.D 2 and the plants will be happy?
Please do me some some order, I'm lost.
Thanks guys.

Hey Mosheii,

I think the GOD panels are amazing, however, they also are made to be hung high with a lot of vertical space, and seeing that your tent is only 5' high, I think that using the GOD's, or any LED with dual lensing may not be the right choice for your tent. I would recommend the COB lights by budmaster because they allow for a much more even canopy and will allow for more vertical height in your grow area for your plants. For your 2x2 tent using a COB 6 would be Ideal.

Another option would be to get 1 GOD 4, and 1 COB 4 panel. Then when you receive them, removed 2 of the 4 modules of each panel and swap them with each other, so you have 2x 4 module panels, each with 2x COB and 2x GOD panels. I think this would be the abolute best option as you will get the increased terpenes from the GOD with red chips, and the more even spread with the COB.
