Great update Ice. That seed project is fantastic, thanks for detailing what you have going in there with the whole picture. Your genetic mix just gets better and with that mixup it will be cool to see what you grow out of them.

The COB tent:
Well last night I decided to even out the canopy as I needed to take a few cuttings of tangie #6 and noticed that the Fire OG and a few of the others were getting really tall. I evened out the canopy by topping the tallest plants. I wanted to make sure that there was no shadowing from the tallest plants on the lower plants so I cut them all evenly. I should be flipping to flowering within the next week in the COB tent
The GOD tent:
The GOD tent is coming along nicely and I have moved all the duplicate clones to the 3rd tent in preparation for the feminized seed project. The GOD tent will most likely be used to keep the mothers for the project, but I may use it for the seed project instead, I still haven't decided as I don't know how comfortable I feel making pollen in the tent next to my flowering tent. Still to be decided in the coming weeks whether this tent will feature mothers or the clones to be seeded.

In this tent I have 1 plant of each of my genetics on hand, with the exception of Tangie 6 which got cuttings made last night, put in my humidity dome to root. Looking fantastic in here Icemud! Perfect looking actually. You got all your veg issues sorted out and that is a testament to your growing skills.
I'm going to be giving HB a go here on the next round. You've probably mentioned it before, but what is your standard amendment routine for your soil? I've been looking at the 6-5-3 method and adding some glacial rock dust, mycos and azomite. I think 1.5 cups per CF. of the 6-5-3 is a good starting point but I'm not clear on that. Planning on .5 cups of rock dust and azomite. Am I in the ballpark with these calculations. Going to be using Promix HP. I've got the foliar regimen sorted out already.

Hey DrBob! Thank you! I'm very interested in this seed project as well. I wish I could have gotten around to it earlier but the light tests kept postponing it. I really want to at least make sure I have feminized seeds of my favorite strains, then I can reduce the amount of actual plants that I need to have on hand as well as to preserve the genetics
I've lost some killer genetics over the years and I would hate to have that happen to strains like my Black Cherry Soda which I have no clue if I ever could replace it, so that is why I'm starting with the BCS. Plus with its grape/fruit punch flavor, I think it would match excellent with some of the other favorites I have too should be a fun project, and more fun after its done

Growing is one of the "no stress" things I have in my life to just enjoy, the slow growth brings patience to me and the challenge of always doing 1x better each grow really drives me to the challenge I love growing

Hey DrCannabi!!! Thank you so much for your kind words!!! I'm happy too that all the veg issues were fixed now to flower these babies out! I think probably mid week I will flip them, I want to try to do it soon so that they are slightly stalled in stretch because of the recent topping, but want to give it a few more days to also recover from the stress should be soon
Nice!!! HB is the way to grow! The easiest way to achieve high brix is to get DocBuds kit, just because its more methodic than my approach which is more of a shotgun approach. With his kit you just by the promix and everything else is included you need including the amendments and sprays and such. I would recommend that way for ease and so that you don't do it my way which is like finding a needle in a haystack with a flashlight at night haha... but....
You can add a 6-5-3, azomite, worm castings and get good results too, sort of like I do. I dont have a standard "recipe" but I tend to focus on lots of micronutrients, lots of Calcium, low NPK. Since I re-use my soil, and have for about 2 years, I am absolutely clueless if I am even on track with the right ratios, but I sort of still try to keep the "general high brix requirements" in mind. I try to feed a 4-16-4 type NPD using mostly fish ferts, kelp and calcium derived nutrients mixed with compost tea and every once in a while add biominerals from T and J enterprises. This seems to keep them in the high brix range, but I haven't been as focused on getting high brix lately as much as just getting healthy plants overall Now that my light tests have sort of slowed down I can focus back to the soil

As much as the kit is easy, I'm pretty much a do it yourselfer lol! Maybe stubborn is a better way to put it hehehe. I've been trying to avoid the soil test with ag labs but I just got a quote of 60 bucks. I spend that on dinner and a movie so I'm going to pull the trigger. I'll mix and cook it before hand so I'll have a really good starting point. I'll definitely let you know what I find out.
