Re: Icemud LED Grow Featuring The All New Budmaster COB Technology - White Full Spect
Speaking of how a name came to be, what on earth is an Icemud?
So as many of you may know I have about 10+ years in the music industry as a recording/mixing and mastering engineer. One day I was busy in the studio working on mixing an album for a hip hop artist you may have heard of, Canibus. If you haven't heard of him or aren't a hip hop head, he is known mainly for his battle with LLCoolJ back in the 90's as well as being very lyrically talented, very very deep and scientific with his lyrics and being a master of the pen. Anyhow, we were working on the final mixdown of his album as I was his head engineer at that period and just busy working my magic on the boards and computer and all of a sudden he turns to me and says...
Canibus..."If you were a superhero, what would your name be?"
completely thrown off guard with the question, and having never thought about that before I didn't quite know what to say, so I started thinking quickly about other common superhero names, powers, energies and other powerful types of forces.
Now what was only a few second pause to reality, felt like minutes and hours went by in my head as my brain tried to wrap around the concept of a super hero name.. I was thinking well it has to be something simple, and catchy and usually its 2 words put together and then it led me thinking about superpowers. I started to think about the most powerful earth forces, hurricanes, tornadoes, wind, and none of those seemed to be "cool"
Tornadoman,.....Nope
Hurricaneman...Nope...
hmmm.... what would be my name.....
I somehow focused on the Midwest, my hometown and surrounding areas and what was very strong earth forces.... ICE... it caused much of the landscape that exists today with the glaciers during the ice age, and then I though of Cali which has mudslides and I recently saw a video of a mudslide pretty much lifting up and sliding down a square city's block worth of houses and trees and there it was, my superhero name...
I blurted out "Icemud!"
It was perfect, it was catchy, 2 powerful forces, related my past and my present and well, sounded cool
He looked at me, smiled and said "Icemud, I like it" and then turned back into his laptop and I went back to mixing.
So after the feedback I decided to just hold on to the name, didn't really use it for anything until I signed up on PS3 online, and needed a screen name. Since many of the names were already taken I wanted I decided to pull out the name "icemud" to see if it was available... it was...
After playing online games, I developed some really close friends that I still know today almost 8 years later, and they started referring to me as Ice, or Mud, or just Icemud and it just stuck, so now even people I know call me Ice, or Mud..lol Its probably funny to anyone who doesn't know me as Icemud when a friend yells "hey Mud" and I respond, like WTF?...LOL who's name is mud is what they probably think but I find it hillarious... anyhow... that is my story of how the name Icemud came to be...
