Yep the butter is helping us so much, and I could have lost a fair amount had I not watched it. :) I found the stuff you called cream in the video very strong. After saying about it our brother Buckshot said that he tasted some of the spinach looking sludge just as he put it in the compost heap :) by the time he had gotten back to his seat he felt a good strong body high :)we ate a little and then I carried on and managed to get a good bit more :)and the second batch is greener :)

Hey everyone,

Quick update,

So I spent a good portion of yesterday trimming up my tangies and jarring them. The buds were at the point that the outsides were crispy but the insides were still slightly moist which I think is about perfect for jarring them. I took weight measurements and at this time I'm almost at 1.22Grams/watt, however, over the course of the next week while burping the jars I do expect that number to go down a bit so I will remeasure the buds when they are completely dry to see where I am at with weight. Definitely very impressed so far :)

While trimming there were 3 phenos that really stood out to me as far as bud structure, overwhelming smell and trichomes which were the purple pheno #6, #3 which was the really tight bud structure plant, and #8 which was the fruity pheno, so those so far are definitely candidates for running again and keeping. The other one that stuck out was the #5 short bushy one, howeever the bud structure was not as tight as the buds were made up of lots of little buds that joined together and not my ideal so far, but I think she may also make the cut. I still have 1 plant left to trim up which will be done today and then preparing the tent for my next grow which should start in the next few days here.


When trimming up the plants, I did find that they did get pollenenated by my early hermie plant which spread pollen and was removed, however most of the plants only had about 5-7 seeds that I found, except plant #8 which had about 15 seeds total. Some of the plants had no seeds so I think the plants that were close to the hermie got pollenated, and the ones furthest from the hermie didn't.

I still have to clone all the tangies that I will be keeping, as well as my ogiesel, which I may do today as well which will give them about 1=2 weeks to root and get potted and in that time the 3rd tent will be clear and ready for them :)

Other than that things are going great :) can't wait to smoke these new tangies to see which is the winner :)

I'm getting antsy over here Ice lol. What a fantastic crop. Over a gram a watt is incredible. I talked to my buddy who is a tangie fanatic and he said that purple pheno is unheard of in his circle. You may have something truly special there. Can't wait for smokum reports lol. :high-five:

Haha, yea me too :) I can't wait to smoke each of them and see how they are. The purple one by far has the best looking buds on it, followed by #3.

Hey everyone!!!! Happy Sunday!!!

Well I appreciate all of you for following along as we flowered out my last grow with the Budmaster COB-X-4 LED grow lights and we are now ready to get started with part 2 of this journal. Since last grow we didn't get a chance to see the COB's through a full grow I have 2 simultaneous grows that will be featured next.



1st up: The flowering tent:

Strains: Tangie #3, #5, #6, #8, Ogiesel, Area 51, Black Diamond OG, Fire OG.

In the flowering tent we will be exploring the Budmaster GOD-4 LED grow lights and their capibility to flower out my tent with 8 plants using only 340W (170w each panel). Typically I would go with 3 of these panels for optimal coverage but I am very pleased to have the 2 GOD panels and excited to give them a run for their money, as we flower out these larger vegged plants. (mentioned above). I took clones of the (4) tangies, and the Ogiesel which I do not have copies of currently and will be waiting to flip to flowering about 1-2 weeks to make sure that the clones root properly. As soon as all 5 strains have at least 1 rooted clone, I will be flipping this tent to flowering and we will begin our journey :)

Each of the clones was taken from lower branches that needed to be removed anyways to clean up the plants and had at least 5-6 nodes and a firm stem. Each cutting was dipped in clonex and put into root riot peat plugs and placed into a humidity dome with a 26w CFL bulb (cool white) and a heat mat. The clones were all sprayed with a mixture of 1-1-1 thrive alive b1 (organic) and r/o water.

For each of the plants in this tent, I lightly manicured the lower branches with a very very mild lolipopping as well as cleaned up any dead leaves on the plants. I also added 1 spoonful of TandJ biominerals 2-4-.2 7% Ca, .5% Iron: (Cotton seed meal, Soybean meal, Soft rock phosphate, Calcium Carbonate, Calcium Phosphate, Calcium Sulfate, Iron Sulfate, Iron sulfide, and Iron Oxide.)

The plants then were each given 4 cups of plain R/O water to wet down the biominerals and help work the powder into the soil. I will not be watering again until I see the leaves slightly wilting to encourage the roots to really fill in that soil and stretch.

This tent is still in veg under an 18/6 schedule and will be flipped to flowering in about 1-2 weeks once the clones root.

The Budmaster COB-X-4 Tent: (full grow):

In this tent I will be featuring the Budmaster COB-X-4 LED grow lights in a full grow. The plants that will be featured in this grow are:
Harlequin, Blue Dream, Black Cherry Soda, Fire OG, Area 51, Black Diamond OG and each of these plants have been cloned from the mother plants and are about 1 month old with the exception of the harlequin and blue dream which are a few weeks older than the rest.

All of these plants were placed into the tent and immediately topped, to encourage branching as my goal will to be create a nice full canopy similar to a scrog, so I imagine that I will be topping these plants possibly 1-2 more times over the next month or 2 until I get a nice full canopy and they are large enough to flower. At that time I will take clones of all the plants to keep the genetics going and flip them. The goal of this grow is to see how the Budmaster COB-X-4 lights perform in a full grow. I tried to time the grow where I was starting the plants earlier, but due to limitations in space the plants are slightly older than I would have preferred for this grow but still will give a good indicator of how they do under the COB-X-4 panels.

The pots were still very moist from a previous watering about 5 days ago so they will not be watered again until the soil is dry and I see wilting. I again want to water stress these plants to max out their root covereage before they get transplanted into 5 gallon square pots later in veg.

I will continue to update the previous harvest and smoke report as things develop as well. I also post the final weights in a few days when I re-weigh the individual plants to get a final total as well as a final smoke report and my thoughts on each phenotype :) That will be the most fun part :)

I know the weight will still go down some as some of the buds are still fairly moist, but right now we are sitting at 472.5g. My estimate after drying will be about 420g but we will see.

I chopped up and jarred the final plant, plant #1, which I pretty much should have pulled early on, but kept it hoping something would happen. It never got a smell, it never got a ton of trichomes, and just grew really ugly.. well upon trimming her and manicuring her I found probably about 40 seeds, so and it was the furthest away from the one that dropped the pollen early, so I think it may have somehow self pollinated and was just riddled with seeds. So it took me a while to trim her up, and even though there were a lot of seeds, there also were some fairly nice looking buds. They didn't smell spectacular, but more like some old school swag from back in the day..lol so most likely it will be used for edibles and I kept the seeds, labeled them from each plant and who knows what I will do with them. Maybe in the future I will get curious and pop them, who knows.

I didn't take any photos of plant #1 yet, I will in a day or 2 of each plant and jars and such after they fully dry.

And I can hardly wait to see upcoming events very cool your harvest reminded me of the way the farmers would stack there lot:thumb:

I like the results so far & must admit following a Bud Master journal is one of my major deciding factors on getting such a product to which i'm looking at the BM cob as i can live with the price tag & certainly wattage used !

Really excited about the blue dream, black diamond og, fire og and area 51, as I got these probably about 6 months ago, but haven't flowered them yet. :) can't wait to see if they are worth keeping or not. The Fire OG reaks, even in young veg, I think its going to defintiely be a potent one. Blue dream I'm also excited about. I've tried 3 other cuts of blue dream and none were the real deal so really hoping finally I got a real cut of blue dream :) i'm looking for that pungent fruity citrus taste I remember when it first hit the scene :)

Hey Fuzzy Duck! I'm definitely thinking that COB technology may be the future of grow lights, or at least a combo of COB's and 5w diodes until they further the technology with more phosphors :) I'm very impressed with how that last grow turned out :)

Hey Ice,

I've grown the WiFi which is Fire OG x The White S1 reversed. It was and still is my favorite smoke to date. Is this a fem or reg seed?

I also got ahold of some organically grown Blue Dream from HSO my friend grew. It was good but very forgettable for me. I've never had the real (original) blue dream cut but your description sounds awesome.

The Fire OG that I have is from clone, and has very interesting traits. It grows like most OG kushes, very tall and lanky branches, but for some reason this one has the stems almost turn woody like a tree branch, not green and soft like most other strains, even at a young veg. Very interesting. I'm hoping that the clone is the real deal, but the way it smells I am almost certain its the real deal, along with the typical OG traits :)

The blue dream, so far smells about right. I've loved blue dream ever since it hit the cali scene way back about 4 or 5 years ago, and since then I think the genetics have been scarce to find. The original blue dream I remember had very orange and green nugs, and looked unusually bright. The smell though and taste is what I am after as the one I remember has a very citrus berry flavor and taste, unbelievably strong and makes the whole room smell like some fruit incense are burning. Since then I've had 3 different cuts that all looked right however once I flowered them out the flavor was off and not right, almost like different phenos from the original. That original blue dream is definitely one of those strains you know, as soon as you smell it, definitely one of my all time favorite sativa's. :)

I would love to have that experience. When something makes that kind of impression on a conesuer, it's very special.

I have a pack of fire og bx from og rascal but heard females are scarce. Once I'm well I'll see what I can find. Maybe drop some pollen on my white s1 and make my own WiFi lol. That's a dream right now but I do plan to do it.

I've been slowly gathering great cuts of different strains and I think after I finish deciding on the keeper tangie and finish these grow light tests after this grow I have to focus on my seed project. Been wanting to make feminized seeds for quite some time of all my strains by using CS to force pollen and then pollinate the sister clone. Eventually I would like to have feminized seeds of each of the strains in my tents along with crossing each one with each other, so I have plenty in my dreams too, but need to really get it started like a year ago lol :)
