Hydro Coco Quasi Hempy Grow

Re: Bandit420's Hydro Coco A GoGo

Bandito you're Al Gore's worst nightmare. A greenhouse gas factory!

I want one of those dry 1's. Where did you get it?

Do a google shopping search for Eva Dry. All sorts of results will come up. I saw a two pack of a different model for only $20 and I saw other models that have fragrence inserts. I found mine at the hydro shop for $20 but I think I overpaid for it.

Yeah I probably make ol' Al pretty pissed off lol. Go ahead and blame me for the plight of the Polar Bear lol! :rasta:

I need a wet 1, do they make those?

Haha seriously though, my veg RH is always so low and I'm a cheap bastard.
Funny how we growers face different challenges throughout the country. That's why there is not any one way to run a garden. Each one has different varibles that must be overcome for a great harvest. Hell I have'nt done one grow that was the same as the previous grow even using the same gear, nutes, and strain.

Hey Bandit,
How is it going. Just checking in seeing whats going on I visited you SSV convo. Grapego,OG, and LA woman, took great pics. Man keep on growing.

I have both challenges depending on the time of year. :) I have an eva-dry petite dehumidifier that is really great because it's so small and fits in my small cab - similar to this. It's teeny, and does a good job keeping RH in check when it's humid:

You got a cool set up going Bandit. I remember doing a wish list back when I was using a closet, and that turbo garden was close to the top on the list. So many options available for it with different lids etc. Aero's even. I myself think a Areo/ Flood&Ebb unit could possibly the fastest growing hydro system out there. Along side that Fogger. But that's alittle more responsibility than I care to chew on. I'll stick with organics they are forgiving. Hey I love these smart pots. I bet you could finish off witha 1 gallon pot? They opened a 'new used hydroponic' store here in Oregon. Around 25th and Burnside, got alot of descent deals. ALOT for a DIYer. But the fit that unit you got looks functional. But hey A+ on the setup. I love it. I hope to have my setup done come April/May. Hey maybe you can tell me something? I haven't ever paid attension to temps for a cloner. I realize mine do work at the strange temp's I deal with and that alone makes mine slow to root ofcourse. Wonder what temp you are working with. I'm outside in a garage but I do have lots of options. Yea you got gas heat you sure will have plenty of CO2 running amuck. I want to do a round about vent of the gas heater to my pool, viva the greenhouse somehow. They sure don't drink it at nite tho huh? Hey I'll look back soon. thread looks great And prop's and +++'s dude. Hey look into the flowering time of BC Sweet Tooth. Keepem Green

See Blue!
All kinds of different models of these little dehumidifiers! The days of needing a big machine creating heat and sucking power are OVER!!!
Thanks for the pic XL!! :high-five:

Thanks NorCal!!
Funny thing is that this Turbo Garden was first an aeroponic system. The guy I got it from had a busted pump and the only big pump I had was so strong the spray would blow the lid off lol! I ended up ditching the aero and run it as an E&F with the air pots.
You've got to see what Bassplayer is doing with his airpots. He's taking plants to harvest in the small 3liter pots with amazing results. Here's the link to his thread..
Medijuana - DIY Cabinet, Perpetual Grow, Airpots, Soil w/LST

I dont pay any attention to cloner temps either. As long as it's not really cold and not so warm it's like soup the clones will take root. Anywhere between 70 & 80 is good imo.
Sound like you've got a good shop in your area. Nothing like a real good shop that caters to to growers that dont want to spend gobs of cash. They are very rare.

Yeah I was blown away by how much gas is floating around the house. I have'nt had the fireplace on all day and the ppm in the growroom is still at 600. I'm guessing that with me, the wife, 2 dogs, and a gas stove we keep the ppm double to what's outside.
I got a weather forecast yesterday and it looks like Winter is just about outta here. That's one thing I love about the Southwest, Winter is only 2 1/2 months long here! :cheertwo:
I doubt I'll be running the fireplace very much longer and I know it wont be running daily so I installed the tank system today. Once I have a good ambient ppm level to go off of I'll be able to set the time and flow rate so I'm at about 1500ppm without wasting any gas. Tommorow I'll probably post the universal time/flow rate equation and the equation I'll be able to use since I have the monitor that eliminates the "assumption" part of that universal equation ;)

Hey Bandit,
Right now I'm using a ------------ system from SH. I was looking @ the Turbo By E&G the one with the 14 sites how much space would I need and will 600w hps be suffice. for the system.

Well Bro I can tell you from experience that the Turbo Garden is head and shoulders above that sh system by far. It's like comparing a Kia to a Mercedes Benz. Even the MicroGarden is a better system over the sh tub.
Your 600hps is more than enough light. I set up another TurboGarden for a friend under only a 400 hps and he regularly pulls 8 zips out of the thing. He flowers my extra clones straight from the cloner, no veg time and ends up with 10 2' tall plants at the end.

One Turbo will take up about 2.5'x3' of floor space

This is an old pic of three microgardens in action under only one 400 watt hps... Three microgardens is about equal to 1 Turbogarden

Re: Bandit420's Hydro Coco A GoGo

Thanks Bandit,
Here we reffer to Zips as oz's. Is it the same there. Also, do you put the system in a tray or on the floor. Is the system self contained as far as (water, nuits, walk away check plant everyday.) and where can I get one for a good price. I was thinking when I get this I could use my SH as a Cloners but I would I have to time it right to constantly have budds.
Oh yeah I sent you a friend request. I will be trying to use STG medium I have heard great things about it. They have it for The E&B Turbo also.

Yeah zip = oz ;)
You can go two ways with a turbo...
Just get the top growing tray and use any food grade 20 gallon tub for the rez. That's what i did for my buddy. We have the tray sitting on a table with the rez on the floor. It's all plumbed up to for leak free operation too.
If you get a tray with the matching rez like what I have it does simply sit on the floor or it can be elevated. If you have the rez and tray on something make sure it's strong enough to support 20 gallons of water weight and about 30 more lbs for the plants, medium, etc.
I scour ebay and craigslist for these systems. I've bought two turbos and at least 6 micros over the years and not once did I buy a new one. They're very ez to find because a lot of beginner growers start out with them and either upsize later or cancel the project for whatever reason.

Hello my friend, things sure do look good around here :thumb: fine job, yes sir!

May I ask, how far down you hang those melons over the heads?

Thanks Sisco! that frost fest jamboree you've got going on is quite impressive Bro!! :high-five:
Right now they're at about 8" above the canopy but I have had them as low as 4". Dicey business with other reflectors but the melonheads run really cool so i drop them as low as possible and pound the garden with light ;)

Re: Bandit420's Hydro Coco A GoGo

Hi Buddy! :grinjoint:

Just caught with you! No messing with you......first class all the way! :high-five:

Thanks Bud!! How 'bout all these cats using airpots now OMM??!! I think we lit a match and now it's bon fire!! I also love how each grower is doing their own thing with these pots...Shows some real versatility of the airpot and ingenuity of the growers here at :420: :high-five:

Re: Bandit420's Hydro Coco A GoGo

The bottle of SNS 203 made it here yesterday!

IMG_15633.JPG

Instructions call for 2 to 4 oz per gallon of water for soil drench and 2 to 6 oz for a foliar spray.
For my first batch I concocted a 3 1/2 gallon brew of 3 oz per gallon to use as both drench and foliar.
I applied about a half gallon drench to the avacado, the back up mama plant and one flowering plant. None of the plants are showing any adverse reaction so next the entire garden will get a drench.
I also used the spray bottle to hit any gnats that were flying or rooting around the surface of the medium on all the plants. This stuff makes for some great anti aircraft artillery on these little buggers. Knocks them down immediatley and puts them in a world of hurt.
I'm also loving the smell! It has a lovely rosemary & clove aroma...Makes the room smell nice ;)

Perfume those gals up! :rip: Bugs

Dead Gnat by Calvin Klein. Available at Macy's in time for Valentines Day.

Nothing says I Love You better than dead bugs ;)

EDIT: I just ordered a gallon jug of this stuff. I used up half the little bottle on 3 1/2 gallons so it's gonna go quick and I'll need some to do a full drench several times until they're gone. I figure a gallon jug will get me thru that and I'll have some left over for future gardens

Bandit,
Are these systems expandable and how is the clean up after the grow. How often do you change your nuits when growing in the turbo.

I think this video will help in explaining a lot about the tg.

Clean up is ez, I just take mine outside and hit it with the garden hose sprayer. You want to change out the nute solution every 7 to 14 days depending on stage of growth

The garden is in full throttle mode now. I'm at full strength FloraNova, Bloombastic, and FloraNectar.
The ladies are also being gassed. I have the ring of gas tubing running thru eyebolts bolted into the walls of the cab. The tubing is right at cola level and in some cases a gas emmiter hole is only millimeters away from the plants.
Everything is getting very frosty too. The three test plants I gave Bloombastic to started showing better than the rest of the garden so the entire garden is on Bloombastic now instead of only half.
