Horse's Crawlspace Grow

I pulled the harem out of the tent for some cheesecake shots :)

Jack Herer 1. Clone from a friend. She has been lstd like crazy, and seems to love it. I'm curious about the 1, 2, and 3 bladed leaves. She's always had them, but is she trying to tell me something?

JH 2 Clone from same friend. Never been lstd, just seems to want to lay low. I'm guessing they may not be clones from the same mother. Do they look like Jack Herers? More 1, 2, and 3 blade leaf thing going on.

White Widow Clone from above mentioned friend. She is pretty scraggly, but is easy to lst. Looks like I'm going to see how many pirouettes she can do around the pot.

Jamaica say you will! She was started from seed by another friend. Brought them back from Jamaica. I think she's gorgeous. Slender, shapely leaves. Showed her pistils with no provocation. She is a lady. Responded to topping without a hint of stress., and lstd like two menorahs. The main 2 branches split down the center from lst, but she never missed a beat. Healed by herself, and just kept spreading. She's also a heavy drinker. I like that in a wench :)

The whole harem reclining in the tent.

I've gone from 24/0 to 6/6/6/6 since the tent is only 54" tall. 2 26w t5 HOs, a couple of inches above the tallest branches. It has slowed them down, and I think the naps are keeping them happy.

2 tbsp of OC+, 8ml/gal hygrozyme... and a little superthrive once in a while. They also got the same feedings the scrog got before it turned on me. These girls don't show a hint of that.

The humidity in the tent is any where from 60-70%. I've been trying to suck all the h2o out of the tray after every feeding... but I'm at a loss on how to lower it without leaving the flaps open, which I can't do.

I had to reverse engineer my tent plans, and now the scrog is open, and the babies are tented. They look great, but will that humidity bite me in the butt?

Any tips?

Thanks for looking in :tokin:

Damn! You've got it going on there, brother grower.

These are going to be moms? I think the 70% humidity is going to work well for you. Why not give 'em a weekly spray with Serenade? The only thing that could get you would be powdery mildew, and the Serenade will see to that.

I feel lost and alone....I've got no plants growing for the first time since last September.....can I grow vicariously through yours?

Brotherman, you ARE growing with me :rasta: Kinda cool, a coast to coast grow, huh? Pretty nice to fall in with a gang of outlaws who aren't just thinking of whacking me :rasta:

Thanks for reminding me of the Serenade. When I 1st started in the crawl, mold was one of my biggest worries... but out of sight, out of mind. I appreciate your headsups, and encouragement.

Right now, I am thinking of using the harem for moms. I'll probably give the big JH to my son. The little one might be the right pheno for a JH scrog. And Jamaica will stay around just for me to caress ;-)

It's tough spending so much time doing something that I just know I'm called to do, and not to be able to share it and get some attaboys! This place definitely satisfies that need :thumb:

I added another charge of OC+ this morning. When I dug the perlite away to bury it, the perlite was damp just under the top layer. The prills were even glistening, and I am assuming some small osmoting was going on. I had watered yesterday am early. Does this #4 stuff wick a lot more than I thought?

Drop in any time, I'll give you the combination to the crawlspace lock, you can let yourself in :)

I know exactly what you mean! You want to show off your garden...but you can't...so this place is really great for that.

Perlite wickes wickedly well.

Hey Horse, you've got some great things going on in here. That scrog looks great, really gonna load up when you flip.
Plus some other interseting strains au naturale.
One drop of superthrive per gallon is a good maintenance dose, imo. But you don't look like you need any tips from me. Got some real pro growers in here helping out.:thumb:

I'll do a little catching up so I at least have an idea what you're up to.
+ reps.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. My original PH pen was all over the map with readings, required frequent calibration. I popped the batteries out and cleaned the contact surfaces of the batteries and it's now stable and I haven't had to calibrate it for a couple of months. Might be worth a try with yours.

High Mick, glad you could stoop in :)

You're too modest, you've got a sweet scrog growing. When I saw it, I knew I needed to fill a lot more holes :rasta: And, I take tips from anyone willing to offer... the jar is by the door!

Good thinking on the pen. I'll check that out, and if it works I'll give it to my son... he just eyeballs everything, ha.

I am amazed at how fast the girls responded after straightening out the water. I've needed to weave into new holes twice today.

Do you add the superthrive at every feeding? I love the lable, you just know that shit's gotta be good. The Dr. Bronner's of supplements :).

Speaking of Dr. Bronner's, I've been using the peppermint for a surfactant when I spray Azamax and Neem. It also seems to help the Neem oil mix better in the spray bottle. That stuff is nasty... and I hope the bugs think so too :rasta:

Thanks Staffy, I appreciate the kind words. Jamaica is damn good lookin', but I gotta be careful telling her that in front of the other girls... she's starting to get stuck up :)

Surprise, surprise, I have a couple of questions.

Tomorrow, the scrog will be going to 13/11. Before flipping to 12/12, I am thinking of doing a 24-36 hour dark period. These hos are working hard, and they deserve a little break from me :)

Does that sound good?

What do I need to do to get them ready for the darkness? They've been drinking the res in 2 +/- days. The present regime is their special water mix, 8ml/gal of hygrozyme, and ph ^ or - as needed. I'm a Superthrive freak, would a drop or two/gal be okay?

Now, how much light is to much light during the dark period? I'm wondering about the rest period and the 12/12 thing.

The harem tent is in the same room. It'll be on for 6 hrs during the scrog's 12/12. The tent is pretty light proof, but there are some pinholes. I've put gorilla tape on them, but it slowly falls off. And, the flexible dryer ducting I'm using in and out of the tent gives off a soft, low, ambient glow... sort of cocktail loungish :rasta:

There's also some red indicator lights for various apparati.

Is it a no light at all thing?

I have other reasons to go into the crawl, which I will try to control... but just in case of an emergency, would a led flashlight upset things? I wouldn't shine it in their eyes!

Plans were made to be changed, which I have amply demonstrated since I started this grow in dirt, so any bones you folks care to throw my way will be eaten :) Thanks.

A little light, over a short period of time, on an infrequent basis won't harm anything. As long as the plants don't have hormonal changes, they won't go hermie....so an LED flashlight would be no problem at all.

It's the constant light that's the problem. My ducting glowed too......so I covered it in aluminum foil.

Light leaks aren't good. Perfect darkness is best.

How bout feeding before the dark time, any advice there?
