High Priest's, Soil, Shiva Shanti II, Grow Journal

Thanks Pennywise :) Hopefully it'll be smooth sailing from here..... My next concern is how many of them will be females.. :)

Thanks Spookies! :Namaste: After this lesson I'm now reluctant to grow them in bio pots again..

Thanks Birdie! Yeah I learnt it the hard way... at the cost of 4 seeds.. :(
Huggggggsssssssss :circle-of-love:
The truth is you may not be at fault , at all. I bought some pineapple chunk seeds back last summer, and 4 of 4 cracked and tap root came out about 1/8 inch, and then would not grow in the towel or after I put them in soil. I dropped the 5th. seed and still haven't found it, probably another dud anyhow. They did replace the seeds, but not with pineapple chunk, but that's ok, i understand. But in reality, if they gonna sell seeds, then they should be prepared to replace with the exact seeds I ordered . not my problem they have to buy them from Barneys farm !! Sometimes you get duds, and makes me feel had, at the point of knowing you got duds !! They need better testing, before selling to public. now that weed is legal in Ma., I can buy seeds legally if I have a mmj card, but I don't know how good their seeds are ? I know they want more $$, than if I bought online. I mostly operate with clones, but after about 7-8 mos. I dunked those 5 seeds, about 2 weeks ago, and here's what they're looking like today. one critical + died at about 1/2 in. tall. And I'm subbed to your new grow. Good luck !!

Sorry to hear about your seeds Slowpuffer... I can feel your frustration on the duds. But I know for sure that the seeds I bought from Sensi seeds are of quality and the 4 that didn't take off was purely my fault.
You should have a go at Sensi seeds. So far the reviews I read was that even if something were to happen to the seeds that you bought, they will replace it with the exact same thing.

Hello everyone :Namaste:
Hope you had a good weekend and your grows are growing well. Since the last update, we've added Metrop root stimulator to our daily watering. Also in the weekend hubby and I decided to add the Biobizz light mix soil to our grows. Well since we have some space at the top of the pot, we figured why not? :) Oh my, I have to say the soil is soft and has a nice scent to it. Here's how they look like since...

We're quite happy with their progress so far. And what we did last week too was we germinated another 2 seeds of Shiva Shanti II. In case our 2 grows becomes male at least we have another 2 chances. :)
Germination was successful and we put them directly into their pots. They're only a week younger than our current grows so not so far apart. :cheer:

Since now we have 4 pots in the vege room, we upped the light from 400w to 700w. We haven't gave them any nutrients yet but looking at the rate of their growth and some early signs of droopiness (from hubby's grow), they might need some this week. So we'll be dropping by our fav gardening shop tomorrow to purchase some. (It's shopping time..) hehehehe... Any recommendations? :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thank you guys for visiting my journal and your valuable comments and guidance are a motivation for me to give extra care to our grows now... Keep them coming... :thanks:
As always, Blessings of love to you and your grows :circle-of-love::circle-of-love:

The seedlings are looking great You can leave it the light at 400 watts for now until they start putting out some more leaves they are still young next 2 weeks would be good.

"carpe diem"

Hi
Looking good in there
I have to say that hubby's plant doesn't look like nutes missing... more about roots or something with the water.

Hi Birdie! First of all... Hugggggggssssss... :circle-of-love: Hope you're feeling better from your back.
Been holding off the nutes to really see what's happening and in fact they look much better today. Told hubby to hold off the water cause he might be overwatering (leaves are droopy but crispy) so that's what he did. This morning they look more perky. Although the two ends still a bit twisty? Any idea why?

Heya HP things are looking pretty darn nice! Now, no using hubbies grow for a windshield for yours :) so much fun growing these plants isn't it? Seems like in no time they are up and doing there thing and we just keep a close eye on what they ask for and give that to them and in a few months........ :passitleft:

Blessed Buds our friends and be well

Heya Arctic! Yep it's getting to the fun part now.. hehehe. No more windshield tactics anymore.. (I've got new ones..lol..kidding) Hope your grows are doing well too... Blessings of love to you and wifey :circle-of-love:

Thanks Islandgrow... :thanks: Yeah you're right.. The 2 elder pots have started to grow more leaves than their younger ones... But I reduced back to 400w for now... Seem the seedlings are pointing towards the 150w bulb hence I switched them off.

 Hi and yes, I don't do any house work, so back is getting better  thank you

The crispy on the leaves doesn't really go away after healing. But if they look better now, don't worry and be happy because you healed them

Good Sunday everyone! :love::love: :Namaste:

Hope you all are having a great week so far with your grows and of course love ones... :)
Hubby and I had quite a fulfilling time this week. We've upgraded our grow room. :cheer::cheer:
We figured it's time for our "grows" to be rewarded with a better environment. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Their new grow tent measuring at 1.5m x 1.5m x 2m. Here are our grows in their new room:

IMG_206829.JPG

added to the tent is a 600w dual spectrum HPS. Our guy at the shop says it's suitable for both vege and flower periods :

IMG_207427.JPG

Along with the new room, we also purchased the set of Metrop Nutrients for our grows recommended by the guy in the shop. We will install the extractor once they are in their flowering stage. Hence why it looks so spacious. :laughtwo:

and here they are taken this morning:

Not sure why the crooked leaves but it seems to be a genetic thing. At this point there's nothing to worry about I guess. Hubby added nutrients to his elder pot 2 days ago and so far it seems that she likes it. The leaves are very green to which we are happy about. :)
His younger grow is looking well in my opinion. Although hubby kept complaining she's not growing fast enough. Hahaha

So here are my grows when they just move in:

and here they are taken this morning:

IMG_209329.JPG

Seems like my younger grow is catching up with her elder sister. :) Been watering them almost everyday the past 5 days cause the tent is quite warm and their soil gets dry easily. Which I'm not really complaining cause I love watering them. But this morning I notice my elder grow started to have yellow leaves so today begins her first feeding of nutrients. Quite excited to see how she will fare from today.

Group photo of our grows this morning:

I've been reading quite a lot on topping and LST lately and quite eager to start them on my grows. Since ours are non feminized seeds, should I wait for my 5th node to top or can I start on the 3rd? :)

Also the grow room humidity has been on the 38%-45% range. I know this is a good range for flowering but is this okay for their vegetation period? We've already added a water reservoir inside to "increase" the humidity but we haven't able to get it up to above 50%.

Thanks again everyone for following my journal. Do let me know if there is something that I might have missed or overlooked. Can't thank my mentors here enough.... :thanks::thanks:

Wishing you all a great Sunday and Blessings of love to you, your love ones and your grows... :circle-of-love::circle-of-love::circle-of-love:

Heya HP things are looking very very nice, great job you guys!!! Yup, 5th is right where we top out girls that are photoperiod. We try to hold humidity 55-60 in veg then around 50 at the flip and 45 last 2 weeks or so. Not saying this is the only way to do it, just what we are using as our guides.

Lol not the red pipe cleaners, Mrs says it makes it look like xmas :)

Thanks Arctic Bowl! I'll try and see if I can up the humidity in the room within that range. Darn... guess I just have to wait... :)
Hehehe.... Haven't look for LST tools yet but I'll keep that in mind.. lol...
Blessings of love to you and wifey :circle-of-love:

Thanks Pennywise :thanks: When hubby and I set up our grow room, we reflect back at the amateurs we are when we first started. Still a lot more to learn though...:) Couldn't have done it without everyone here. :Namaste:

Hi everybody! :Namaste:
First of all, Happy belated Valentine's Day :love: :circle-of-love:
Hope you all had a week filled with love...

It's been a week since our grows moved in to their new home. Looks like they're loving it. Other than the occasional high temperature (was at 30.9°C at one time), we managed to lower the temp down by installing our extractor in the tent. Thankfully it did. :)

As for the humidity issue, well somehow or rather it went up to 51% from 39% over the past few days. We didn't add any humidifier at all. Although I think it might have something to do with the 2 new grows that we added in the tent. :)

Our Northern lights sprouted from their soil a couple of days ago and joined their elders in their grow room. :cheer: So humidity is back to a good range now. :) I'll start updates with Hubby's grows and the issues we found so far.

Hubby's Eldest grow taken yesterday :

IMG_210032.JPG

Hubby's Eldest grow taken this morning:

IMG_210725.JPG

So far I can't tell whether she's having nutrients burns or not. I find the tips are not all burned to indicate such but I may be mistaken. The temperature and humidity issue from the past couple of days could contribute to the blotches too perhaps? Her last feeding hubby gave her was 2 days ago at 3/4 of the recommended dosage down from the full dosage the 1st time round. When we inspect her today, the bottom leaves are more yellowish compared to yesterday. So hubby decided to give her a feeding, half a dose this time. I'm keen to know what's your diagnosis on this grow? :Namaste:

Hubby's youngest grow taken yesterday:

Hubby's youngest grow taken this morning:

IMG_210824.JPG

His youngest grow finally has her second set of true leaves. :laughtwo: Hubby is pleased with that. :) Comparing with yesterday, I find their leaves are getting a bit yellowish indicating it's time for a feeding. I hope my diagnosis is right.:) So advised hubby to give half a dosage for this grow this morning.

Here is my eldest grow taken yesterday:

My eldest grow taken today:

IMG_211025.JPG

Yep the nutrient burn was my fault. :bitingnails: I gave her 1st feeding last Sunday and well I was silly. Initially gave her a watering from the wrong bottle and when I realised it, I used the nutrient bottle but completely forgot that it was a full dosage.
Been holding off feeding and watering since to see if it gets worse. Fortunately it didn't. :phew: So after 4 days I think she's telling me she's hungry. Fed her half a dose this morning and I hope she forgives me. :) As I was punished with her stunted growth. The reason I know this is because of her younger sister.

My youngest grow taken today:

IMG_210923.JPG

My youngest grow has her 3rd set of true leaves which tells me she taken the lead over her big sis. I was confused at one point thinking this was my eldest grow. Thankfully I did some markings. Her first feeding was 2 days ago and because of my lesson learnt from her elder one, I gave her half a dosage. This morning I'm noticing her slightly yellowish sprout leaves and figured she wants a feeding. Hence another half dosage today. So far I'm happy with her. Her leaves are green, no indications of abuse and growing at a good pace :)

Group photo:

IMG_211124.JPG

I guess I can say it's feeding day today for all our grows. It's been a fruitful week I must say learning about our grows feeding habits... and abuse. hehehe. Excited to see how they fare after today. Well one thing for sure, they are growing fast. Can't wait for their 5th node to start training with my grows. Although Hubby doesn't want to top or LST his plants which is cool because we get to see 2 looks of this strain. :high-five:

As always thank you :thanks: to everyone here for visiting my journal and of course for your valuable and appreciative comments.:love:

Blessings of love to you all and your grows :circle-of-love::circle-of-love:.
