High Priest's, Soil, Shiva Shanti II, Grow Journal

Heya HP how you guys doing over in your neck of the woods? Great job cracking them beans!! We been not having great luck getting them to crack so we're going to run 5 this go instead of 6. Not sure what the issue is, went 4 for 4 on green crack an 1 for 2 on purple kush, then Ofers on the next two try's 0-3 train wreck and 0-3 haze......so we said screw it lol, 5 it shall be. We are in Docs gear and so far so good, plants are looking fantastic, not our skills mind you but this HB kit soil is for sure how we will be growing from here on out.
Thinking we will hold off on the journal for a bit but we're still hanging out on others, just not having much time these winter days to put up enough pics often enough to make it worth it for others to view. Our busy busy season now and just busy in the summers lol.

Now, no cheating this round and using hubbies plants as wind blocks to save your plants ass's

Blessed Buds our friends, good luck on the new girls and be well :passitleft:

Hello everyone :Namaste:
It's been a week since we put the cracked seeds into their growing pots and so far we haven't seen any of them sprouted yet.

IMG_203725.JPG

Comparing to our last grow, it took them 5 days to show their first set of true leaves. It's making us a bit worried now.. :hmmmm:
The first few days we noticed that their soil went dry easily. So we kinda water them whenever they are. Also initially I had the fan switched on in which hubby kinda advised me to off it since they have not develop any leaves yet. So we did. Just hoping that they're not "dead" due to lack of water. :hmmm:
Hopefully we can see something in the next couple of days. :reading420magazine:

Thanks everyone for your valuable feedback and wishing you guys a wonderful week ahead. :thanks:
Blessings of love for everyone! :circle-of-love::circle-of-love::circle-of-love:

Those cups dry out really quickly since they were put in did the surface dry out completely. if so you may have lost them. Just keep misting and hope. U would have started digging up one to see what happened. Or maybe the manure is too hot for the seedlings. Just brainstorming possibilities.

Hi HP, dont give up on them continue to keep them moist and they may surprise you.

Keep em frosty ya'll

Thanks Pennywise... Here's praying and hoping :Namaste:

Thanks Islandgrow... Well their soil was moisten first before we added the seedlings in. The next day we noticed it went dry hence we added water then. Initially we did misting but after noticing it gets dry easily, we just add water and mists the sides. Not sure if we did lost them but we're hoping we'll see something soon.. If not then we have to accept the reality :circle-of-love:

Hello everyone... :Namaste: Hope you and your grows are doing well. Unfortunately for our 4 seeds it didn't.

Well after a week of waiting, nothing sprung out. Hubby and I decided to make a test to see if they're really "dead". So what we did was we germinate another 2 seeds. But this time instead of planting them in the bio pots, we plant them directly into their 1 gallon pots. So if these 2 were to sprung out from their soil, it means the 4 seeds is officially dead. Guess what happens?

Introducing Hubby's grow taken yesterday:

and taken this morning:

This is my grow :cheertwo: taken yesterday :

and here it is this morning:

IMG_204131.JPG

So from these 2 beautiful grows, we deduced that our 4 seeds in the bio pots are "officially" dead. We did dig them to see how they were and I have to say there wasn't any roots established. Hence I deduced that I made the following mistakes....

a) I did not put a small layer of soil on top of the seeds which after reading and watching some videos, I think that might have caused them to dry.

b) Too much light was placed under them during seedling stage. I will remember this mistake now. Not too much light until they have their set of leaves.. Silly me...

Ahhh well.. at least now I know I won't make these mistakes in the future. And one thing I learn as well is that this stage is the most important and delicate stage. Because of this, we lost 4 seeds... :(

Moving on from this.. our 2 grows are in their indoor room with 100w for each pot and a 150w as a "filler". Hopefully they will turn out well in a couple of days. Hubby already suggested to germinate another 2 seeds.. hehehe.. Plunged them into a cup of water this morning :cheesygrinsmiley:

Okay guys, will give an update once they've reach their next milestone, their first set of leaves. Thanks again for your comments and for following on our journal. Blessings of Love to everyone :circle-of-love::circle-of-love: and your grows too..

Youre on your way, ill tag along.

Keep em frosty ya'll

Thanks Pennywise :) Hopefully it'll be smooth sailing from here..... My next concern is how many of them will be females.. :)

I always germinate in the soil I'm using because of this monkey business. Nice rescue.

Thanks Spookies! :Namaste: After this lesson I'm now reluctant to grow them in bio pots again..

HI :hugs:

When seed is in the soil and you are waiting for it to sprout, it needs heat more than light :hugs:

I am happy the others are moving along :circle-of-love: grow babies:cheertwo:

Thanks Birdie! Yeah I learnt it the hard way... at the cost of 4 seeds.. :(
Huggggggsssssssss :circle-of-love:

Good day everyone! :Namaste: So much good news to share with you all today... :yahoo:
First off, yesterday hubby and I decided to order another set of seeds from Sensi seeds. After reading around and watching some mouth watering videos, we ordered automatic Northern Lights. :cheertwo:
It's going be quite exciting for us as this is a strain that we wanted to try for quite a while now... So just about waiting them seeds to arrive in the mail soon... :)

So while reading around 420mag and checking out other journals, I stumble upon a french gardening website which has almost everything that we couldn't find in other gardening shops. Even though they do deliver, it so happens that there was an outlet nearby our home. Hence hubby and I decided to take a trip down and see what they got. OMG A lifesaver... Here's what we bought:

Biobizz Lightmix: After so long, we finally managed to find a suitable soil for our grows...

fullsizeoutput_5f46.jpeg

Room Temp & humidity meter: I figured this is one of the important things we need to have in our grow room.

fullsizeoutput_5f45.jpeg

Metrop Root & Growth Stimulator: This is recommended by the staff there saying that it will definitely boost their grow during our pre-flower stages.

fullsizeoutput_5f41.jpeg

The staff of the shop were very friendly and as always (The French) will always have some small talk. Obviously I can tell that they are growers themselves in which later they did say they are. So they kind of give tips and recommendations and all. Hubby and I were at first cautious on telling others that we grow (of course we don't usually) but they figured out anyway from our purchases.. Hahaha...

I did told hubby that what I have observed and learned from fellow growers here is that we enjoy the joys of growing and sharing our experiences, setbacks, harvests etc with each other. I can honestly say from my point of view, is that we growers are on a different league from dealers. Hence why the "boss" of the shop offered us if we want to purchase seeds to not hesitate to ask him as he have some as well (being a fellow grower). :yahoo: Well one thing for sure we are definitely going to be shopping there more often from now. :)

That said, I'm just glad to meet another grower in person and happy that we are able to find the resources we need here.:Love:
So with our purchases, hubby and I am now using the Metrop Root Stimulator to our grows this morning.

As for the soil, most probably we'll wait for our Northern lights to arrive and use it on them. And now that we have found our go to store, we already thinking of transforming one of our spare rooms to be our flowering room. Hehehe....

Thanks again guys for following my journal and wish you all blessings of love :circle-of-love::circle-of-love::circle-of-love::circle-of-love: to you and your grows.... :thanks:

Hi Sweetie :)

I am too scared to tell anyone about growing.
Although I have a nursery nearby, and I think the young guy, working there, is growing..something.. :)

Hiya Birdie.... :circle-of-love:
I understand.. Us too generally we don't... Technically he told us he did and by the items that we bought, it seems obvious to a grower that we are growing something other than basil :)

Hey Birdy hey High Priest. Looking good with those seedlings. Hopefully won't do all the hard work and then let them dry out this time! Fingers crossed. Learning curve is out of the way it's time to tell Houston we are blasting off.

Heya Spooks! Trial period is over.. hahaha... We're more motivated than before to get this Grow to its full potential.
Reading and watching journals for the past few days made me not making the mistakes we've made and giving it our full attention. Also no long trips planned this year... hehehe :cheertwo:

P.S: Been reading your journal too and I always ask myself "when are those big monsters gonna flower?"hahahaha :bravo:

Hahahaha they started showing visible signs just recently. Pistils etc. exciting stuff. Sometimes I envy you guys because you can harvest 3 times in the time it takes me and I'm stuck with the baby if the police come coming with nothing to show for it. Haha troubling times. But thank you for your kind words!

Go nuts on these ones but nice products etc. I bet you can pull of something spectacular.
