Herbies Desserts to Sweeten Your Day @ Otters

Hash is so nice! I've been re reading and watching Frenchies work. There's plenty to it! My bags and frisbee came this week. Washing machine's been in for years. Just need some buckets now.

How did you dry what washes out of the buds? Last I heard Frenchie was Freeze drying. Before that he pushed it through a sieve? I'm confused there. I don't think I have freeze drying access so it's DIY for me.

Did you heat press it?
I left it out on a plate Anything hard but not like cardboard, I heard. And I had a light fan blowing over it
To make sure it dries in a timely manner.
I’ve been looking at videos lately and it seems like some of people use the same method I used

Hey Scottay, I got to smoke a little of her last night. It was rough around the edges of course but very nice and has potential to be a solid daily for us! I have hash on my mind too! That finger was sooo good! Gonna be bubble time soon!
And the pick 4 for today is H A S H !!

DRYING UPDATE

Hi folks, a little swerve in the road. I was trying to dry in my pellet shed this run per request from the cutest half. It's not working out for the weather. We get 60 to 65% rh for a few hours most/some days and nights hit 90 to 95%. That was ok it appeared but it started to rain yesterday and it's still at it soooooooooooooo! I abandoned that and brought them into the 4 x 4. Whew! I just didn't know if it was ok or not!? You?

So here they sit with a hygrometer in the closed tent with fans running and extraction on lowish. A dehumidifier in the area outside the tent set to 60% is on as well. Almost 24 hours in and it 60.8% in the tent and 53% in the outside ares. I'm checking from my chair upstairs now and those numbers are odd. 53% is low for it being set to 65%. Tent numbers are good so I don't have to rush down and figure it out now, but after coffee kicks in I'll be on that.

All good in Otterhood

She calls me Mr P, among other things, for procrastination. I've been meaning to remove those lines these buds hang from for years! hehe :p :hookah:

Be happy :yahoo:

Hash is so nice! The taste and high! I haven't had a good piece in 50 years! Back in the day a batch of temple ball type hash came to Boston. It had segments like an orange and had white something running through it. As far as elevations go that was right up there with the best high memories I have! No idea of its origin. I haven't had much since except finger and scissor and once I did a Frenchie Cannoli palm pressing. Soon!
Good morning, Stone. 🍋
Good morning Keith! Glad I'm pout of the rain! All day yesterday! I had to cut rotten bud in the rain! Thankfully it looks like a week of sun!

Betty is starting to ripen up finally! I can feel her buds have some pushback now and new pistils are slow to come. She smells a tad different yesterday too. The end is near! :woohoo:

Once the hash is in a lovely shiny temple ball or whatever, how do you get it to a smokable form?

BETTYS BUDS UPDATE, ARE THEY BLUE OR IS IT ME?

Hi everyone! I got out and gave Betty a good shake this morning after all the rain yesterday. She'd looking at 4 or 5 sunny days coming up! I'm super happy with her bud development! She took to the outdoors better than my SIP growing her sisters! These buds are already denser and frostier with no nanner signs. I did something they didn't like in there. The finished buds work very well for us but these will be different! This is fun!

Backyard Big Apple Betty

Apical cola. She bent over and made several but this is the topish one.

@Gee64 I forgot to get back to you with something. Last week we were talking about Betty's soil getting hard to put water through. I thought I had a fuzzy line on the brixometer but I see my eye was off. With a layer of worm castings and a few waterings, water flows through this soil as fast as I can pour it in! So there you go! That yellowing top 3 feet of leaves may have been a result of 2 things. My overwatering and calcium low.

It's been so long! With a knife cut a piece of. When we were kids hash was almost always dry and almost brittle so dry so it kind of broke with the knife stroke. These balls should be a lot moister and a wedge can get cut out I've seen. Just a knife. Then into a bowl. What kind of bowl I'm not sure of the best way to get it smoked these days. :p :hookah:

I didn't see that thanks!
Checking in on them this morning I noticed a couple things. One, finally sugar leaves are starting to get crispy. I left all the sugars on to brush them off later and they weren't drying outside. And two, purple/pink buds are hiding under them! I like a surprise!

Apart from the novelty and easy of carry, a temple ball is a beautiful thing. However, I need convincing that it is any better than a sprinkling of kief :) Maybe I am not visualizing it's full potential.

My guess is you haven't had some? Taste is very different and high may differ as well. It's taste I'm chasing I'm pretty sure. Kief will get us there for sure. Hash gets us there dazzled in flavor we can only get a hint of in a bud. I love bud but hash is something special to me.

I agree brings back memories when I was a teenager doing hash under a glass. That blonde hash tasted so freaking good.

I know what I'd be doing with a temple ball...I'd be higher than visualizing lol!!

Nice! a new tool so you can maybe grow a plant taller than your normal 10-11feet! 🤣🤣🤣

I'll say it again. I'm topping next season. Every year I mean to and never do. I'm hoping too next though! It'll probably;y improve everything. :)
Betty does have a blue hu to it , man those buds are a lot bigger in just the last few days :green_heart: good thing you where watching the Runz m ang got it under control :meditate:
I think so Smokes! She's sitting comfortably at 61% as we type with air gently caressing every bit of her beautiful self! In the next days I'll get the humidifier running to keep rh up there for a time unless Betty needs the space.

That blue is funny. I did a search and I guess some have a hint of blue. This one looks green again in bright sun today but I see it all the time. There's purple leaves coming everywhere especially close to buds.

When I think of it. Hash is 100% trichomes so there's a fair bit of elevation possibility to it! And did I mention flavor! Mmmmmmm!
Hash..... The original concentrate!!!
