Hempy Headquarters

Just how low is your water table, anyway? (Height of an actual table, maybe? Isn't some of that area below sea level?)

The floor of my house is higher than sea level. The ground below my house is ever so slightly above sea level (we're on a ridge!).

How is your RH throughout the day and night there?

Temp/RH data for 1 week.
Here's the probe data from the veg tent...

The other probe is the interior of the shed. This basically represents the local temps in the sun.

Hmmm.... perhaps I shouldn't fill this thread with all this.

With almost 1,500 posts in the thread, I don't suppose it matters overmuch. Besides, if thinking about this kind of stuff helps you - and, potentially others - build upon the hempy concept in such a way to make your day easier, increase production, et cetera, well... Aint that the point, lol?

For those bored by such graphics, tapping the space bar still performs a Page Down operation (as long as you haven't just posted in the thread, in which case the forum software chokes, forgets WtH response it normally gives to a space key, and spits an error message at you).

With those generally high temperatures - and nightly humidity spikes when the temperature falls - I'd definitely be aerating. If you're concerned about it not being a beneficial thing to do (or just lazy ;) ), try one or two of a set of like containers/medium/phenotypes(/clones) and determine for yourself whether it helps you, does nothing, or - and the possibility must be considered, I suppose - is detrimental.

I guess that’s what tickled me. :D
Certainly no offense was intended. I found the graphs very instructive. :Namaste:

Not many could grow the luscious beauties you do @Tead under those fluctuating conditions. Lol! No matter how many times I see them it still makes me gasp. Lol! I think I’ll stay right here in mild-mannered Pittsburgh.

TS may be into something. It’s worth playing with one, isn’t it?

@TorturedSoul, that’s twice in half an hour I’ve been stunned at the knowledge you’re carrying around in that head of yours. :hugs:

Yesterday was feeding day for the two Dark Devil autos. Their dosage was 50% of full strength nutrients. They received Big Bloom, Grow Big, and Cal-Mag. These sprouted 6 days ago. I wondered @Rifleman whether they like more or less nutrients?

I've never gone over 50% ever on my DDA, heck on anything actually...lol...
And I started with fox farm nutes
Now I do use amendments at full like calmag and such, but not base nutes

The Big Bloom I truly believe I could use at full strength but it would be a waste as the plant couldn't absorb all that. I do think I will slowly increase the amount of Grow Big though as the plant begins (hopefully) to grow.

Just be carefull, I burnt the shit out of a few plants using too strong of Fox Farm Nutes

More isnt always better

Can't speak as to Dark Devil since this is the first time im growing them(thanks rifleman!) But i can say that all the autos ive grown (excepting xxl autos) have not gotten over half strength nutrients. My red poison even gets some clawing at half.

Their dosage was 50% of full strength nutrients.

Wait a minute! o_O Are you saying that you mixed up half the recommended dose (1ml/gal instead of 2ml/gal), or did you mix a 50% concentration of the nutrients straight from the bottle? Like, 1 ml of nutes to 2ml water? o_O

I’m gonna have to run that through the calculator! That could be a bit hot!
:passitleft:

I mixed 1/2 gallon of water with 5 or 6ml of Big Bloom and roughly (probably a little under) 2.5ml of Grow Big. I'll get the hang of it sooner or later. I don't want to fry the plants but do want to be sure I am giving them everything they need/want to grow to the best of their ability. Oh, and a little shot of Boomerang.....about 1ml

I was once naive and believed the nutrient companies had our best interest at heart. That the information on their growing charts, if followed closely, would give us the best plant we could possible grow. I pretty quickly found out that those nutrient companies might not be looking out for me or my plants. I no longer follow those charts. Those companies are rich enough already.

I paid up front for my water having a well drilled. Now it's mostly free.

As a general guideline (not written in stone - that’s what fine-tuning your favored strain is for :ganjamon:) most plants like cannabis respond well with the following:

• N between 100-150ppm (you can always start lower and increase if leaves are pale, but very rarely will you need to go as high as 200)
• 3N-1P-3 to 5K
• Ca ~= N
• 4Ca:1Mg
• all necessary micronutrients

To try a nutrient mix following these guidelines, you can play around with the results I previously provided for your chosen nutrient line.

:D

I’m sorry - I wasn’t very clear. You are paying for all the water they add to dilute the nutrients to the point where you have to use more of their product to get the nutrients you need.

I knew what you meant man, I was just messing around.
