Also all hempy fans who reuse ur own perlite i had a question I got some bottle nute stuff called hydroguard and its for eating up all the dead organic matter like dead roots and so on and then breaking it dwn as nuterients 4the plant to be able 2 eat so what im wondering is since it's the same dam thing as my sensizym i have could I use it to soak my old perlite in and wouldn't it eat up all the old shit so then after awhile u could jus rinse it off really good and then do what u normally would??

Seems expensive. Bleach is cheap. If you spread it out some it's pretty easy to pick the roots out.
Better if you do this sooner rather than later. The fresh roots are much easier to pull out.

All of the plants in that post were Malawi... except for the extra tall pot with the DDA/UD cross that was put in way too hot of a mix. I should cull it, but it's not consuming any of my resources, so it stays outside for the moment. I have some plans for more tall pot/auto grows this spring.

Sweet brother well let me know what those ideas are cause im looking for ways to improve on my hempy grows cause I will be doing a ton of autos since im looking for one to add to the strain im currently making. I was guna add in just red poison auto from sweet seeds but now idk i mite be changing it up or adding another. But lets jus keep it simple lol i got 2 photos and ill have one auto. I hope these turn out female i would be a very happy gardener that's for sure lol. I cant wait to see them in flower if they r female i wonder what kind of traits it will take from the father the Hindu kush skunk the purps. If i could have the fathers side branching with some of that purple on my black domina buds tht would make me satisfied. Which I am seeing one for sure possible 2 with some purple going on so jus need the ganja gods to bless me with them being females lmao

Hey Blazin, heres how i wash my perlite and hydroton between grows... I use a product called pondzyme. Costs next to nothing at chain pet shops and makes like 800 gallons or something. I bubble the perlite/hydroton in 5gal buckets for about a week to soften up all the rooty parts, then rinse them good and pop em in the oven at like 225°-250° until the remnants turn to dust. Ive done this 3 or 4 times now and haven't had any issues. One more means to an end. I used bleach before but i was always nervous there would be residue. After this last cleaning tho the wife said until we get a house where i have an area of my own to grow in im supposed to just buy new. Lol something about our carpet being more rock than polyester.

My hempy clones are starting to grow funny. They don't even look like cannabis plants anymore. They started out great but now are just growing 1 leaf per node. Strange. Stems keep turning purple too, I'm running cal/mag @ 5ml/gal any tips?

Looks like my re-veg plants. I'd say light issues. Did you take the clones from a plant already in flower?

No I cut them 10 days before the flip, the mother had alternating branches already but not in flower at the time of the cut. They've been on the same 18/6 light schedule since I took them. They all rooted fine and seemed to be growing just fine until week ago and they started sprouting single/doubl leaves per node

Great looking clones btw. Not sure what would cause that growth . Maybe it has something to do with transplant shock with freshly rooted clones . She should grow out of it. I had a clone only putting out 3 fingered leaves finally seeing an increase in the leaflets.

Looking closely they look like they are full of preflowers . And the new growth is curled under. Too much ferts is a possibility.

I'm running the GH flora 3 part and these others from their line at 50% (600 ppm) I have been running it per the directions on all my previous plants including this ones mother from seed perhaps I'll half it again the next 2 days and see if they get any better.

They're just re vegging. My veg and flower cuts both did this for whatever reason.... looking wondeful now though! I wouldn't sweat it goldy

Cool that's what I wanted to hear. The new growth is looking healthy as ever so I was a little puzzled why they were growing so funny. The preflowers are fat but it's never been subjected to extended dark period or fluctuation in light schedules from 18/6

Do you end up with droopy plants after they've otherwise been growing healthy, radogast?

Not droppy, brown and crispy (this is early stages.) Rasing ph from 6.2 and below to 6.5 looks like it's helping - time will tell.

Rad, I keep my pH at 5.5 when I have to adjust for it. These RX Green Technologies are so wonderful I gave the pH meter to someone who needed it more than me. Have you always kept your pH this high?

Another hempy harvest.

200 grams went to FHO and the rest is being dried low and slo.

She had lovely roots, that filled the pot. This was an experiment to see what this pot would yield, and it came in half of what I get from the larger, wider pot.

CBD CC 2.8 will be transplanted into that larger pot and prepped for flowering as soon as space opens up.

I have a series of Jamaicans in hempy. 1.2 is in a solo cup hempy.

1.4 is in a small but deep pot. I haven't grown a Jamaican in hempy yet. This is my first serious attempt. The solo cups are for fun and experimentation.

1.5 got her own solo cup hempy earlier today. I wanted to experiment with solo cups and hempy seemed the perfect match. Using the Jamaican clones adds to the daughter's inventory she's learning to appreciate our favorite herb. It's getting to be a challenge to keep up.

Malawi 1.2 is coming along nicely, five weeks into flower. I hear they can take a while to finish.

She's in the same size pot of the plant that was harvested yesterday. Amazing!

Last, but not least, is Chemdawg, just days from harvest.

It's coming closer to a balanced grow, half hempy and half soil. I hope you're having as much fun as I am.
