Looking great MadDabber, nice canopy!

Thanks! It took a bit of tranning but hope the results pay off for me.

Hope your holiday weekend is a Great one filled with joy and time with loved ones

.....

Yep. The 3-part.

I have some deficiency too. Could be an early fade, but idk. Same type also. I'm going to try a reset flush and set ppms back to 700. I upped feeding in effort to combat it and all it did was fry my tips....

Happy holidays laz!!!

Fellow hempy growers unite!

I have been following this thread Grandpa's Second Try - Come Join Us! and grandpa has been having a difficult time growing his meds. He has tried different types of soil but so far has been unsuccessful. You see grandpa has a few limitations, he is blind. I have been trying to encourage him to try coco hempy buckets due to their simplicity. I am a total noob so if someone could head over to the thread and perhaps explain what a hempy bucket is in extreme detail (remember he cant see) and how to care for his plants it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey kids .

Love the goings ons around here, I've been quietly trying to keep up. Busy season!

Here today to share pics:

Papaya fem in veg, due for a haircut!

Mystery bag seed, without question the fattest indica leaves I've ever had in my garden. A week or so in flower tent, yet to show sex. Topped once.

CBD Indica fem 2+ weeks in flower, Mom's meds. To date, my best looking plant - leaves and all. She could use some thinning underneath. Hope she's done stretching. Comfortable plant height is 2 ft in my tent, she's there now.

Jamaican Dream nearing the end. Had a rough life, hope for about an ounce of puff.

Blueberry fem (Seedsman) 12/12 from clone, her clone sis was cut 2 days ago. Easily my favorite strain, taste and effect. Popped another yesterday, I'm less friendly when there is no Blueberry jarred up!

Happy New Year!

I didn't catch it the first time thru, but the attempt to give us a sense of scale by putting a lighter at the bottom of that beast is just hilarious!
I think the sink/vanity provide a much better frame of reference for size there... but the lighter does make me laugh my ass off, so I love it even tho it's more than a touch out-scaled.

I haven't been here to show off my own girls in a while. At the moment all of my flowering girls are he,on and almost all of the veg girls are soil. :laughtwo: The hempy girls are looking like my finest class to date. All of the hempies feast on RX Green Solutions nutrients.

In her fourth week of flower, CBD Critical Cure 2.7.

Shooting nanners like there's no tomorrow, Devil's Carnival 1.2. I've been flushing her for a week now, and I'll just continue doing so to the end. She's sporting some nice colors. I'm gonna let her go as long as I can in hopes she seeds herself. Then I'm gonna save the nanners and try to back cross one more time.

Carnival 4.4 is starting her flush this week, so about another week or two to go. She's the biggest Carnival I've grown, perspective of bud size and frostiness.

Her main Cola got close enough to the light to develop hash tips. The thing is huge!

In the tiny closet we have the last of the flowering plants and the start of the new hempy class.

Malawi 1.2 is about a day away from blooming, in her second week under flowering lights.

The new class starts with a Devil's Carnival clone. I have no idea what gets dropped next. Is there ever enough time and space? :laughtwo:

They're a happy lot, and that makes me very happy.

Looks GREAT everyone!! Excited to see what 2018 brings for the hempy hooligans. I'm contemplating moving to DWC down the road, but I'm super pleased with my first hempy grow and will probably never.full abandon this amazing method of growing ..

Now to show off some nugs....

Today is the start of week 7.

I love that cloner Tead. At the moment I'm playing with neglected cups of water set off to the side. :battingeyelashes: That's where the wicked roots on that solo cup darlin' grew.

Dabber.... :bravo: Mighty impressive for a first hempy run. Damn!

I'm in. I am really fascinated by this method. Especially since I failed miserably with soil... And being blind, I cannot even consider Hydro or cocoa or any other method that comes to mind. This just may be the Golden Goose for me. 😁
It would be the easiest for you. @Tead s method of perlite and osmocote plus is the easiest way. Water only . Good luck

Harvest day! Actually last night. I checked trichs on tuesday and they were still clear/milky but when i looked last night they were amply ambered and i need the tent. My clones are at the edges of my little veg box and need to stretch their legs.
Speaking if legs... I didnt grab any harvest pics yet but how bout these roots?
They're stained from the AN micro but smell so healthy and are strong. It was hell picking perlite out of them.

I'm so pleased to hear this Grandpa. :hugs: I really believe this could be the way for you to grow great produce with minimal effort. The trick with Osmocote Plus is to get the prills distributed throughout the medium. I find plain perlite to be the easiest medium. Adding coco fiber may increase the biological action, but then in hempy I'm not sure that even happens. Perlite alone is also lighter in weight. Something to consider as well.

You're about to be surprised at how easy raising happy cannabis plants can be. :battingeyelashes:

Impressive! :high-five: I'm always floored by the density of the root system. No wonder they grow so vigoriously. And every bit of the perlite gripped so tightly wicks nutrient-rich water directly to the attached roots.

Grandpa,

I've quietly lurked on your journal through both grows, props for keeping the effort and faith. I can't imagine being blind and trying to grow. You were guided correctly to come to this thread and give perlite and Osmocote + a try. I think this method is about as low tech and simple as it gets, your best opportunity for success. The folks here have many grows under their belts, have lots of perlite only experience, and will be more than happy to help. Best of luck in your next grow, ask anything and you will likely get good advice from good people.

Peace
Keith

I'm honored that you have spent that time reading my thread, Keith. Please feel free to post any time you wish! I am very excited to try this hempy method. Believe you me...there will be questions and they will be posed here and on my thread. I have great people there, and from what I see, there are great people here for this. Thanks for chiming in. God bless! :namaste:

Hello again all my hempy holligans!!!

I'm here to discuss salt build up! I'm day 51 of 12 12 and am noticing a potassium lockout from what I can only suspect is Na (salt) build up...

I have put easily 20 to 30 gallons through my 3 gallon hempy gal. Question is, should I cut or drill a bottom drainage hole to help with the flush. Imagine a cup full of salt water. Then imagine trying to make it drinkable just by dumping more pure water into while it continuously overflows.... this is exactly how I am picturing the res flush, and it seems inadequate and too slow for my circumstance. I've nurtured this thing ALMOST 5 months now, and am terrified I am in trouble. Any thoughts suggestions or comments are greatly encouraged!! Help me save my baby....
