Hey, whats up folks? Been down and out... I pinched a nerve in my back and just curled up on the floor for a few days in agony. Im feeling a bit better now so i thought id pop in.
Ive been neglecting my girls a bit. Theyve been getting basic care only and a few things had to be fixed today. In the days ive been down all the girls had stretched up almost into the lights. So i re-hung the led 18in higher and swapped out the mars 300 for a 400w eye hortilux hps bulb.
Im excited since is the first time ive had room to run my dwarf star with the hid. I think hps and good led make the densest frostiest buds ive ever seen. Temps have been sitting between 78f and 82f and rh has been in the mid 60s. Im trying to drop it a little more with a couple damp rid buckets. Id like to get it to mid 50s for this stage.
I grabbed a few hurried picks again for my reference. I swear sometime i will take some nicer shots. All the girls are in 5gal square buckets except the purple haze in the center of the 5th pic. Shes in a 3.5 and she was vegged the shortest. Shes still gonna give me nice chunky buds. The gsc (pic1) is the crazy girl though. She is trying to steal light from everyone else and i keep having to twist her arms. Pic2 and 3 are LSD Pic4 is chemdawg
I need to get in there and spread things out a little better but they are stacking up pretty densely, pretty far down. All in all im pretty happy with the new setup.
I grabbed some flowering clones last night and put em in the bubbler. I figure the reveg time will give me enough time to finish flowering and pop in in to veg for 2 weeks. Im still trying to figure out this perpetual thing.

Totally depends on your nutrient regime. In my Osmo, 1/8tsp of my ph down puts me right where I want to be. I've done testing on either side of the PH range and settled at 5.5.
Not sold on such large containers. In my world, 5gal rounds seem the perfect size for many reasons.
Sell me with a grow or twenty, then we'll chat.
Keep in mind... this discussion was obviously regarding traditional hydro with large res's and whatnot.
You should be... very nice baby!

Thanks! Yes, I have a Mephisto Genetics Forum Stomper In a Hempy Bucket. She is around 6 weeks and doing well.

I ended up with 97 grams of mostly golf ball sized tasty nuggets.Time to come down on day 75.

i am just about to start my hempy adventure. am starting from seed this time and probably doing 2 strains. need some guidance before i drop beans for germination.
plan is to germinate then start them as a mini-hempy in solo cups. hole in side of cup, ph'd ro water and cal/mag or a weak nute solution in the bottom of the cup. either straight ph'd ro water or weak solution as foliar spray to begin, weak nute watering once they get going in the cup a bit. then an up pot to a 5L bucket where they will live til finish.
does this seem acceptable. i know some start in the final buckets off rapid rooters or other methods and i've read that hempy's detest a transplant.
wondering if my plan sounds acceptable or should i re-think ?
will definitely do a journal as well as post in the current hempy threads as we go.
