Hempy Headquarters

I've done solo and in final pot, and Hempy are no different than soil, I'm my experience, with transplant

What I have learned with both is start watering with 1/4 strength nutes till they hit the reservoir
This keeps them growing and eliminates the stalled growth

Dollar Tree Treasures............Here are three hempy worthy pots found at The Dollar Tree.

The tall one I already use in my grows. But tonight I stumbled upon two new items that will fill certain voids in your hempy grows. The first, on the left with the white rope is a 2.5 gallon/ 9.5 liter pot. No holes in them and light proof right off the shelf. Yank the rope out first thing as it's not designed to hold any weight. I like that it's only 9.5" tall.......it is 12" across the top.

The second is a little Halloween candy bowl. It holds 150 ounces of liquid / 4.43 liters I really like this one because the plastic is decently thick. It measures 7" tall X 9" across the top. If you like these I'd get to Dollar Tree ASAP as they'll probably sell out.

The third one which I have been using holds about 1.3 gallons of liquid or just under 5 liters. Right at 12" tall ...the top opening measures 9" x 7". I have a @SeedsMan Blueberry plant growing in one and it reached 44" tall in this smallish pot.

Hope these prove helpful to my fellow Hempiates

Have a common droop through out the tent could it be root bound issues?

My one gallon DDA Aquarium gravel Hempy with a coco/perl/verm cap. She is just about 60 days old. Slight burn on the tips from heavy feedings
.

And SSDC in 40oz Hempy about 4 weeks younger

They could be root bound, and you definitely don't want to let them get any larger before you transplant into a larger container. If you will be using perlite as your medium I would suggest a 1 gallon or larger pot with the drain hole 3 to 3 1/2" up from the bottom. With the plants that large in a solo cup expect a pretty extensive root system so go gentle. Don't try to shake or break off the perlite in and around the roots when you take them out of the solo cups. Just leave it on and up-pot it just like it is.

Usually, the recommendation is for the hole to be about 2” off the bottom.

I trust that you have had no issues with such a deep reservoir?

Many of my 1' tall 6" round 6L pots have holes at 3" rather than the traditional 2". Some have holes at 1.5". One has a hole at 1".
Honestly, other than the 1" one, I'd be hard pressed to see any functional or performance differences between them all.

The pots I am using are those 1.3 gallon trash cans from Dollar Tree which taper quite a bit down to the bottom. I decided to move the hole up to 3" - 3.5" to increase the volume the reservoirs could hold. And no, no problems yet that I can see. I know I have a Blueberry in one and the reservoir is dry on feeding day so with that plant even the larger reservoir isn't enough.

Here is my flowering hempies, they are about 30” tall in 2gal 100% perlite paint buckets. The four on the left have been flowering for 38 days, the two (and little bonsai) on the right have been flowering for about 10-14 days or so. One is on nothing but MegaCrop and cal-mag and the others all get a mix of Rx Green and cal-mag.

I'm feeding 2 indoor and 2 outdoor plants with Mega Crop nutrients. All are well into flowering and looking quite nice and healthy. All 4 are in Pro Mix BX and not hempy.

M R Nice DrD!
I've got a MegaCrop test plant going that's an OGK variant. I like to keep an eye on others doing similar things.

They are both Dinafem OGK clones, the MegaCrop seemed to beat out the Rx Green in veg by about 15%-25% which isn’t what I expected.

I flowered a little bonsai with just MegaCrop and cal-mag, it’s just now barely dry enough to smoke. It came out no where near as fragrant or tasty as the Rx Green clones I’ve grown before. I’ll give these full size ones the full treatment before I decide to flower with it exclusively. I ordered some Terpinator thinking it might help to make up the difference but will wait until the next round to try it.

Green Leaf Nutrients boasts that their Mega Crop is an "All-In-One" nutrient from start to finish. Interestingly they also sell a product called Bud Explosion which they claim increases your yield. They also offer a product called Sweet Candy which they claim "Sweet Candy is a premium, full flavor, aroma and yield enhancer … and carbohydrate source all in one! "

Now how can they say that Mega Crop is an all in one nutrient that does it all if you need the other two products above for the most complete grow.

All in one? Not buying it, but I am trying it this grow.

They used to say those other nutes are totally optional and/or strain dependent if you use MegaCrop; but I don’t see that on their site anywhere now. I did get a bag of both extras but haven’t used them yet as I wanted to test just MegaCrop like their recommendation was (at the time I purchased).

I keep seeing people using the mega crop. My interest is peaked a bit, but not sure if it would benefit me at all. Were they giving out samples at one point?

I currently use Maxibloom as a one part nutrient, which is like $15 for a kilo and works great, in my world anyway.

Still giving out 230g samples. You have to pay the shipping.

Do you use both MaxiGrow and then MaxiBloom?

Nope, just maxibloom. ¼-1tsp per gallon of tap water, fed daily, ph'd to right about 5.5, sometimes I go as high as 6.0, but not regularly because my pH drifts up on its own.

Double Hempy Harvest!

Today I started harvesting in advance of my relocation. This Sunday it was Carnival (wet weight = 238 gr), with an anticipated 2 ounces dry.

The star of the day was Zamaldelica x Panama, bred by our own Morglie, proof positive that hempy can grow big-ass plants. Her wet total was in excess of 2 pounds, which at 20% brings the anticipated dry total to just over 6 ounces. :yahoo:

One happy camper over here. Hempy rules! :slide:
