Hempy Headquarters

That Zam X Pan must have really dense buds. I look forward to growing both of these strains in the future. Congratulations on a hefty harvest, Sue.

Why thank you beez. :hugs: I’ve been at this almost 4 years now - Hey! That’ll be on Wednesday. My 4th :420: anniversary. :yahoo:

I almost missed it again.

I started to say it took me 4 years to learn to grow this well. I’ve just begun to scratch the surface. Graytail puts me to shame on any given day. Lol!

Because I know I will forget I want to wish you a Happy Anniversary in advance. 420 is blessed to have you.

Aww.... that’s sweet beez. :hugs:

Truth be told, I’m mighty blessed to be surrounded by so much loving genius. :circle-of-love:

Three of my coco-capped aquarium gravel Hempys. Seems to be doing a great job with the autos as it did with my sativas. A lil peroxide in my feed took care of the drain tray algae that was testing my laziness, lazy wins. :ganjamon: plants were immediately happier. Next I have to add some CFLs back to the tent to run on cold days. Damn QBs run too efficient.

Here is the tent on transplant day and a couple days later. I definitely think I had root bound issues inside the solo cups.

Looking good @Ganjagrowergu! I’ve got another six to eight weeks before my tent will go below 80F/27c. :(lol
Thank you,

My sativa strains really seemed to love the heat earlier this summer. My problem was keeping some sort of humidity. My problem now is that my tent is mighty chilly with the QBs. Lol. But my RH is much more acceptable in the 30-45% range.

Another multiple hempy harvest

My tent full of small pot beauties finished getting harvested today with a triple chop.

A little root porn.....

I’m expecting just under three ounces dry. Not bad for such a tiny bit of perlite.

That makes 9 hempy harvests over 11 days. :slide:

I’m gonna play with a series of upcannings when I get moved. I’m thinking I can grow stronger root balls by gradually moving them up in size. Hempy is so easy to transplant this was a no-brainer.

I see some fun hempy play in my future. :battingeyelashes:

Two more flowering girls to go.

So is it your theory that if you plant a seedling in a large pot it will send it's taproot straight to the reservoir and once there slow it's development of a fibrous root system thus not allowing the plant to grow to it's full potential? But by gradually increasing the size of the pot the plant will continue to grow roots both vertically as well as horizontally.

Hempy roots are different. No tap root, per say. My intent isn't to slow the root development but to let it fill the smaller pots as they get upcanned, keeping them dense. Often, when I dump the roots out I have a root ball that doesn't completely fill the space. What I'm wanting to learn is how to always have a massive rootball that fills every bit of available space.

Nice to see your gerting things done in time for the move, sweet sue. We are 2 weeks in to our new house and we are still unpacking little bits and bobs... No more moving for me. This is where the proverbial buck stops. Lol
My garden is coming along nicely. We're about halfway through flower for most of em at about 5 weeks from flip. Ive got the far red puck doing its thing so my lighting is at 13/11. Its now at that stage where you dont think they are getting fat enough and start to worry. Lolz!
I cut some clones some weeks back and had them in the sprayer set up. All have beautiful long roots and are in 2L pitchers i found at the dollar store. I lost all their nametags at upcan tho so on a whim i took some more cuttings tonight and properly labeled them. They are obiously heavy in flower so if they root they will be the usual bushy beasts that monster cropping produces. Bring on the whirly growth!
Heres a photo dump of my crappy photos.

They're all a little top heavy so i put some stakes and yoyo hangers in to help out a little. This is the slowest part. Keep em green everyone.

Oh Lazarus.... :bravo: I get all giddy when I have to stake my hempies because the colas are so thick that it demands it. Lol!

Nice to hear you’re settling in. I’ll be happy to get new seedlings going. I’m only sneaking in two clone cuttings, so it’s all new for me. :slide:

@DrDoob, you give me hope that I’m onto something here. Strong root balls = big-ass healthy plants I’ll have to stake all over the place. Lol!

Mine are falling all over the place. I had to order more plant ties and stakes yesterday.

Does the left picture look like a calmag issue? Or is it light burn? The picture on the right show crinkled leaves. This is perlite/vermiculite.

In solo cups, I feel you might be in root bound territory with plants of that size and I feel like that's what I'm seeing there.
