Heavens Shores - Bill's 2022 Grow: Come Meet Howie! Show Us Your Grow Too - Bring A Pic

Congratulations! What are the Z numbers? Is that the date they hit the jars?
Each jar is labeled with a letter designating the order which they are chopped.
I think Northern Lights was the first.
So it's ( A ) Designating order first = A ( 10 ) indicating month ( 7 ) indicating day.
A 10 - 7 is on the sticker.
So when i check my totals and records A will be Northern Lights born 6/19 - harvested 10 - 7
with the total grams 48 I think.
but underneath each sticker I have a piece of masking tape.
It has the strains, seed co, and weight in grams and day harvested.
Saves me looking up the strains down the rd.
Simple system but has all the info.
It was 4 pounds total between the 25 girls.
That's minus rot that was damped.
Some girls were a real disaster by the time I got to them.
Live and learn buddy.
Take care.

Yeah I don't have enough jars.. for the tent grow yes.. the outside goes into bread bags, paper ones with a bit of a waxy lining, those transpire slow and work well
Wanna get to a point where all the outside gets transformed to hash and the inside is enough to have nice buds throughout the year.
I hear ya, Fender. My outsides don't get optimal sun, so the buds are pretty loose.

Advantage hash. :yahoo: Sooo many trichones covering the leaves. The colder you can get it, the more you yield.

What is your method?

Cheers!

Method? a freeze and shake for the gold run and then the rest gets extracted through bubble bags.
And yes.. outside is trich rich but poor density, there's a couple of buds with volume but early harvest is a must otherwise there's none.

Do you have a place setup for your new light. If not, I can find 1 for you. I have to start an indoor grow someday.
Funny you should say that.
I think your the 3rd.
I'm close to closing in the new grow room.
Drywall was delivered yesterday.
It's pretty cold today again though.
But regardless I'll have the new facility at least usable shortly.
The smallest room is 4x4, the KS - 2500 is a 3x3.
Which means 2 lights or a KS - 5000.;)
It'll do 4x4 flower or veg.
So I'll see what they say.
Otherwise who knows.
Take care.

I have been watching your new room looks great. The light will have a good home.

A
Just waiting for the F1 qualifying in Belgium.
Then it's cleaning day.
Hopefully by then it warms up.
Stacey's son is coming up to go tubing with us this afternoon 4 hr drive.
So the plan is to go whe he gets here.
Finders crossed. ;)

Reading through this all 184 pages is epic! So much learning thank you!

Cute dog and an F1 fan as well!

What’s not to like?!

Thank you Bill!

Thanks GDB.:thanks:
I appreciate the compliment.
Keeping it air tight is my goal so I'm being very diligent about insulating.
I've designed & built post and beam custom homes.
Very satisfying.
When I was fit and healthy.
Im going pretty slow doing the shed though.
Slow and steady.
My biggest obstacle is cost.
It's ridiculous here to buy material.
I'm contemplating radiant heat in the floor.
It's efficient but more money, yeiks.
Thanks for dropping in my friend. :passitleft:
Hope you are well.
Take care.

What would a homebuild underfloor cost you? Just circulate hot water through plastic pipes - you *could do an underground heat ex thing (though drilling down far enough if you’re already in super cold is going to be a pain) and ai guess more money in cap ex (though cheaper long term on op ex)

I'm in the middle of getting an instant boiler installed right now.
Does domestic and the radiant heat in our Chalet.
Cement slab , best way to heat, it's got 18 foot ceilings.
Plus an airtight wood stove, heatpump with AC.
And a big AF generator in the shed. ;)
In the grow room I'm raising the floor 2x4 and putting another layer of roxul. Another r16 I think.
Bubble foil then electric radiant under the pots.
I can set it to 18 c , perfect temps all the time. :thumb:
Then I'll have some sort of air handling system for ac / rh / air temp.
Haven't decided yet.
I just ordered 45 feet of # 10/3 with a ground ( Tech Cable ) Direct Burial.
Probably the most expensive way to get power in there.
I could have buried pvc conduit, was a lot cheaper.
But only want to do this once.
I'll put , probably a 60 Amp sub panel in there.
I can install a heatpump down the rd and I've got safe power.
I'll run all the wiring and timers from there.
All surface run in BX.
No wiring in the walls at all.
Drywall under every inch. ;)
Cuz you know
Then 5x5 and 4x4 rooms with 9 and 10 foot ceilings respectively.
Then my work bench and shelves in there.
Been thinking about this a loooong time.
Hey did you just read the whole thread?
Honestly what did you think of the pictorials? Were they easy to follow?
Did it make sense?
I appreciate the feedback.
I'm going to consolidate them for easy access soon.
Eventually getting their own thread.
Thanks so much @DeeBeeBee :thanks:

Ha - did I miss you saying this? Just seemed to make sense. Re: heating. You’re onviously already on it.

I’ve read maybe 40 pages so far. Beginning the. jumped to page 100 then working backwards. 101 soil make up was the main pictorial I saw so far. Yep awesome stuff. Def deserve their own posts. My comm. grower mate has a similar natural thermal build design as yours - albeit for warm weather. Will try send you a diagram I drew.

Thanks massively to the #ogmastergrower

(Don’t blush!)

So after your freeze and shake, you use that to hot-roll hash or for other purposes?

My last harvest was a 10-12 week flower. Topped after 10 but still a little loose to my liking. Did a quick trim before grove-bagging them. Making sure, as Bill suggested, to cure them between 65-75% RH. Trimmed and bagged most of them just over 70 for a slow cure.... First time curing, I was totally ignorant before I joined @420 . :thanks:

Cheers!
