Heavenly Hybrid’s Hideout: Jump In Anytime

Super nervous about doing that.

I am feeling good that I was able to get a bag of promix hp

I can’t let anything happen to this girl

I’m just glad to be able to stick with what I know here
She loves me, she loves me not. I used to play that game with daisy petals. That's what that transaction of statements reminded me of. Weird how my mind works.

The garden looks great, even with a slight droop. :high-five:

Lmao, buckle up Saugs, it’s a real rollercoaster ride in this mind!

Hello again grow buds. I am having a rough go with some of these girls! Let’s just dive right in.

Here’s the ladies! Candida mom still needs attention; I’m really procrastinating here...

My best girl atm, Mango Kush
2948777A-FC51-4072-B609-6327F3BC1496.jpeg
She’s the only one who went into a 3 gallon and stayed in full promix hp. She’s also the only one that has not been struggling. If only I could go back... I’d have done them all this way!

Critical Purple Kush
7092B632-ADB3-4C15-9C85-E41783D643DF.jpeg
She is looking much better than she did yesterday. Her leaves were clawed over so badly. After a stronger feed/watering, she’s looking much better, but not 100%. I suspect she went too dry, but not sure? :hmmmm: I’m just glad she’s bounced back.

Blackberry Kush

This girl has been drooping since I transplanted, with a temporary perk-up sprinkled in here and there. I have been watering her less and tried to aim for the new roots zone in the dirt, but still she droops. I hope I can figure it out, because when I fiddle with her, oh my she smells so good. Mouth watering, sweet, fruity blackberry.:yummy:

OG Kush

Last up is my #quadfail. I’m not even upset about it. She’s still going to be a good producer, just not the nice flat shape I was looking for. C'est la vie!

That’s the state of Kush gardens! Not feeling like such a good kush queen these days. Gotta get these girls fixed up so I can flip in a timely manner... for once! :laughtwo:

I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe out there!

They may not all be doing exactly what you'd envisioned, but they're all beautiful...and sooo healthy!
Hey, there's tall quads too...;)

I dare say the struggle you describe is not real, HH. :Rasta:

Those plants look healthy and happy to this untrained eye.

And regarding that failed quad, if you supercrop those outer four mains you'll have a canopy to be envied. (I'd strongly advise using GDBclips to do this. :laughtwo:) IJS.

Thanks carcass. poor blackberry is having a pretty rough time. The rest seem within my wheelhouse to help them, but come on lil blackberry!!

Thanks GDB :) I am considering the super-crop too, but I’m still undecided. I had a blackberry kush that had the four towers like this before and it turned out pretty well too. Decisions, decisions!

I agree it will grow just fine the way it is. I thought you were canopy-conscious.

I always try for an even canopy, and nearly always fail to achieve it. So to me it's no big deal! :Rasta:

I appreciate it, I am canopy conscious, but in a half hearted, inconsistent kinda way. :laughtwo: I know it’s better for the light penetration and filling the tent and all that jazz, but I’m also a subscriber to the, if it ain’t broke, line of thinking. Lol, I’ll figure it out eventually.

They certainly look green enough, and outside of the droop the only thing I notice that stands out is some twisty leaves up top.

What are you feeding them these days? Is it a droop or a claw?

So blackberry is the heavy drooper, and critical purple is the one that is clawing. When I initially saw the claw it was all over. After I fed with a higher feed, she straightened her leaves out pretty well, but is still clawed at the top. The leaf tips still look hooked, like too much N maybe? I’ll put up better pics tomorrow.

Just before that happened, I had given her (all of them actually) a feed with a dose of calmag. They’ve had two feeds now at just over 4.5g/gal. It’s just crazy that I’m getting such mixed results from these girls. Og Kush and mango are chugging along, so I’m just confused. :hmmmm: I spotted some discoloring on the lower leaves, and some spotting on a few of the girls, which is what prompted me to up the feed and calmag. I think that’s resolving, but not sure. Maybe I was under feeding and now over corrected? :hmmmm::hmmmm::hmmmm::hmmmm:

Thanks HH. By the size of the plants I would think that 4.5g would be enough. I'll take a better look when I get home tonight. The fact they responded better with a higher dose of food is encouraging.

Hi again all! I peeked in on the kush ladies this morning and good news - blackberry has perked up!

It’s the best she’s looked in a while. Fingers crossed she will stay this way now!

Here’s a couple of Critical Purple and the hooking or clawing she’s showing.

It doesn’t seem to be getting worse, maybe the calmag was too much for her?

Since I was there, I snapped pics of the rest too.

Mango Kush

such a good girl! I barely had to do any training with her, she’s shaped up pretty nicely.

OG Kush

This girl and CPK both showed some spotting and yellowing on their lowers. I upped the feed and added calmag to one feed to help.

after the increase, it doesn’t seem to be getting any worse, so hopefully that’s resolved.

Family photo!

I have a bit of work to do to make a new home for Candida mom, after that I can start thinking about when to flip! Yeah baby!

That’s all for now in the 4x4. I hope you’re all doing well out there and staying safe!

Glad to see Blackberry perked up and looking happy! Wow it’s getting to be flip time again, those girls grew quick! Can’t wait to see your tent filled with Kush buds.

Definitely what Shed said. But they are looking better.

Yes.

I agree, and let's hope so! I can't see why not, you are a grower you know.

Good call, on the first part. The second part was like deja vu. You already knew that though, from the CP's, but perhaps you went for a blunt break. :high-five:

Upping the feed and adding cal-mag might have been too much nitrogen, because that sure looks like N tox. Upping the feed probably would have been enough.
Thanks for the confirmation to my suspicions Shed. It’s just weird that cpk was the only one who showed the clawing symptom when they’re all getting the same feed.

I only added the calmag to the feed one time, just in case I wasn’t clear there. I was told I couldn’t really overdo calmag, I guess cpk disagrees. Like I said to Shed ^^, it’s just weird that only one plant reacted this way. :hmmmm: Is there any chance that clawing symptom could be from anything else? Too cold? Too dry? Something more individual to that plant?

Blackberry drooped again at the end of the night, but she’s back to perky this morning. For a bunch of kushes, they sure are acting differently! We’ll get it figured out. Thanks for the help gents!

Plants react differently. Some are more sensitive to diet changes. Sativa's, as an example, are known to be lighter, or finickier eaters.

Could this just be from when the plant is sensing lights out time? Plants tend to droop before lights off, then perk back up again before lights on.

Thanks mr. S, I’ll try to stop over analyzing then. I just didn’t want to be ignoring something either. :Namaste:

Maybe? I’m really not sure. I did drop the hours of light a couple weeks ago, down to 17/7. It reminds me of another grow I had that they were in the garage and too cold at night, which brought on some wet feet. I’m a bit at a loss for her, maybe I’m overthinking? Time to :smokin:
